"Hyung, I thought the person that we're going to meet is named Kim Junmyeon... why is Kim Junhee the one that's giving all the instructions to us?" The tall young man asks Eli making the tall young elder smile a little."Well... it's rather complicated to explain here, but do you know about a book called the Legendary Curse of the Royal Crowned Prince? You should search the book and read it... then come to me with the same question... since you were mostly living outside of the country, it's normal that you don't know much about her as she's always lived quietly all her life." Eli says making the tall young man knit his brows and sigh a little."I think I saw that book in the shelf at home... what does the book have to do with Kim Junhee or Kim Junmyeon?" Kris asks."Good... then just read it tonight and tell me everything about it tomorrow okay, that is your current homework for our biggest client and it is important, Kris, do it right... there are a lot of people that we want to please, especially her family." Eli says making the tall young man nod and they head back to the main office even though the day already turned into night. Kris still has things that he needs to do before he goes home.Finishing everything at work, the tall young man goes home and his parents, who are really his uncle and aunt who adopted him after his parents died when he just a small young child, welcome him home and they have late dinner together.His adoptive parents hardly talk about his real parents even though Kris knows that his uncle and his mother are siblings. They sent him living overseas for the reason that they said they wanted to protect him and that it is better living outside the country rather than here in Korea."How's work today?" The elder woman asks and Kris looks at his mother with a small sigh."It was pretty strange and good at the same time." The tall young man says making both of his parents look at him with questioning looks on their faces."Strange? Why is that?" The elder man asks and Kris thinks a little bit before he spills out to his parents about meeting a Kim Junhee instead of a Kim Junmyeon and the book that he needs to read tonight and with the explanation, Kris could see the change of reaction on his parents' faces which makes him wonder even more about what is going on with Kim Junhee's family that people know about them so much."I think Eli is right, you should read the book since we never exposed you to your background and heritage and you never got the proper training for who you are. Still, you are the rightful descendant of our family, also you are part of that same family too." The elder man says making Kris knit his brows again."My background and heritage? What do you mean, Mom... Dad?" The tall young man asks."We can't let him read it alone, we should guide him... telling it in one night would be overwhelming for him since he doesn't know anything." The elder woman says making the elder man nod."Fair enough... after dinner, you should get done with your shower and after that, we will be waiting at the library for you... we have a lot to talk about and explain to you." The elder man says making Kris nod with a still questioning look on his face, but he finishes up his dinner and moves himself from the table and walks up to his room."I knew this would be coming to the end, the fate of meeting up with the royal family was bound to happen to him. The elder man says to his wife.After dinner, Fei and her husband proceed to the library room and the elder woman pulls out one big book from the shelf and another book that contains what the whole nation knows about the legendary story of the cursed crowned prince.Fei lifts her head up as she looks at her husband who was born in the same family as Kris and the elder is the youngest brother of Kris's birth mother, they share the same blood of witches and wizards.She brushes her husband's name in the book that has a family tree in it. The name Wu Taecyeon would ring any bell in the country as the tall elder has a good reputation in the nation because of his most secured home and company security system that he developed on his own as the tall elder was born with a genius brain and at the moment, he owns a multibillion dollar worth security and IT company in the nation."Mom... Dad... shall we start?" The tall young man asks while coming into the library and Taecyeon smiles as Kris joins his wife and him, sitting down in front of them and looking at the book that Eli asked him to read."This is the common book you would find anywhere in the nation that has a story about a crowned prince who was cursed by a witch for breaking his promises of love and marriage and their promise to be together." The tall elder says and Fei puts another big book in front of Kris making the tall young man knit his brows upon seeing the old book."This one is our own version of what truly happened between the witch and the crowned prince, there is more to it than what's written on the other book that has been published for the nation's history." Fei says making Kris nod and he readies himself for the explanation, at the same time, he's scanning some pages of the book."Your mother and I were born as rightful descendants of the witch and wizard family that caused the turbulence in the crowned prince's family... this means that you are a wizard, Kris." The tall elder says to his son making the tall young man gulp on his saliva. He knows there's something like that in this world and he knows they live amongst normal humans, but right at the moment, knowing that he, himself, is a descendant of witches and wizards seems just like a dream."We were trained to use our magic and power to protect ourselves and do good things for the future, for the people that we love and for the good of our country. It was a fun childhood and we were raised in Magic Land, not that far from the city where normal people and the Royals are forbidden to go unless for a quite good reason." The tall elder says making Kris nod as he now knows the basic in his family; his real mother did tell him something about magic when he was still a small child but he never believed them because never once did his mother show him any magic when he asked her to do so."This book was passed down to your mother since she is the first born and then when we all grew older and walked out from Magic Land, our lives seemed different. We do know that there are some witches and wizards who are living amongst normal people and the royal lines are still living while being protected by the government." Taecyeon says again."Coming out from Magic Land changed your mother, she met your father who was born from the noble side of the royal family, just a distant relative to the main royal family who are direct descendants of the crowned prince, they both fell in love and got married and your father never knew who your mother really was until he found this book accidentally while they were packing their things to move to a new house. At that time, your mother already had you in her belly." Fei says and Kris looks at his mother with curiosity and a nervous heart."There is a reason why we don't want to talk about your parents sweetheart... we don't want you to get hurt and you're such a good child and never once asked us about your father and never once did you want to search for him, but we were still afraid that this day would come." The elder woman says with teary eyes making Kris hold his mother's hand and pat it softly."It's okay, Mom... you are my parents now, and I don't want you to get hurt too." The tall young man says and they continue with the story."It has never occurred before, someone from the royal family marrying a witch or a wizard, and it scared the hell out of your father and he started to distance himself from your mother and it broke her heart seeing the one person that she loves slowly fading away from her life... it took away your mother's spirits way too much and her broken heart seemed to have never cured even when you were born... she loved your father way too much." Taecyeon says and Kris bites on his lip and he stares at the page where the one name that was under his mother's was only him, there was no name of his father's."My dad left my mom just like that?" Kris asks."He was afraid and he knew about the curse since he is a part of the royal family who thinks that the curse given to the royal crowned prince was unacceptable even though we know enough that it was the crowned prince's fault for breaking his promises. Witches are humans too, they just have powers but are still capable to love and bring up families... we are not freaks but we were treated that way making us very angry with the royal family." Taecyeon says."Then what happened?" Kris asks again."The marriage between your mom and your father was broken and your mother went back to Magic Land and gave birth to you there. It was a blessing that she had a son, the rightful descendant of our community but three years after that, she died while still holding you in her arms. I presumed, with the heartbreak and humiliation that she received from your father, it really disabled her to stay alive."
