It was the middle of the Han dynasty. Joohyun was with her parents, who ruled over the immortals. They were descendants of the purest bloodline. Leaving Joohyun to be a princess of some sort. She was their only daughter, and her blood was especially pure. She was the strongest immortal in the world. No one could dare defy her. That was until she met Sooyoung. Sooyoung was another pureblood from the Park family. She was about a millennium younger than Joohyun, still a child in Joohyun’s eyes. They first met when Sooyoung’s parents came over to talk with hers. Sooyoung looked her straight in the eye smiled. A smile that took Joohyun’s breath away. “Hello, unnie.” Sooyoung’s sultry voice left Joohyun frozen. “So, you two have met, this is your future bride, Joohyun. Treat her well.” Joohyun’s father said with a pat on her shoulder. “B-bride? Since when?” Joohyun asked curiously as she took in Sooyoung’s features, Sooyoung smirked at her obvious oogling. “Since Sooyoung was born. She’s the only one suitable for you. Do not forget that.” With that, her father left the two of them alone. Joohyun felt awkward as she looked at the girl. She wasn’t sure about what to do, although she felt an attraction to the girl. It didn’t help that her blood smelled so delicious. Joohyun was a being with perfect self-control but Sooyoung’s was too irresistible. Joohyun smiled as she reminisced about the memories. How she longs for that delicious scent again. They met again when Sooyoung blossomed into an adult. Joohyun was in a daze as she saw her. That gummy smile sent a shiver down her spine. Sooyoung smelled exquisite, Joohyun felt her fangs tingle. “Hello again, unnie. Do you want me that bad?” Sooyoung chuckled. She could see how riled up she got the elder. Joohyun didn’t say anything. Suddenly, Sooyoung felt herself being pinned against a wall with Joohyun’s fangs in her throat. She wrapped her arms around the elder. “Have your fill, Unnie.” Mewled Sooyoung. Joohyun pulled her fangs out and licked the wound. God did she taste better than Joohyun thought. She looked up at the younger with bright red eyes. Sooyoung connected their lips and the rest of the night was filled with moans. After this, the two were inseparable. If one was there, the other was as well. Joohyun and Sooyoung had a connection that no one could quite grasp. It was as if they were made for one another. Sooyoung was the only one who could make Joohyun show any emotion. She was also the only one that could calm Joohyun down. A few centuries later, Joohyun changed Seulgi She pitied the girl who was dying in such a torturous fashion and decided to save her. Sooyoung didn’t mind. She knew Joohyun was only hers. Seulgi fit into their lives perfectly. She tended to their needs and enjoyed being with them,. Although, she had to learn how to ignore all the sounds the two made when they were having sex, which was frequently. It wasn’t until the Tang dynasty that their lives changed. Joohyun’s parents had long past and she was the head of the immortal realm. The nobles did not like this because they feared her. Sooyoung went out to visit her family when she never returned. Joohyun looked far and wide for her. It wasn’t until Suho came and pronounced her passing. Joohyun was lost. She raged for years after that and went missing for a while. Seulgi had been almost killed by Joohyun but kept on accompanying her throughout these years. Wherever Joohyun was so was Seulgi. Joohyun clenched her fist. Did Suho lie? Did they do something to Sooyoung and now she is Joy? If so, she was going to annihilate them all. Joohyun was so lost in thought she didn’t realize Wendy there, “Joohyun…?” Joohyun whirled around at the voice of the hunter. “Is Joy….someone you know?” Wendy was curious. When the pureblood answered she decided to go into further detail. “Joy was someone we picked up while out hunting vampires. She was almost in a daze. She had cuts and bruises all over her. She didn’t seem coherent. We couldn’t talk to her or touch her for days. Suddenly, she came to but couldn’t remember anything.” Joohyun gritted her teeth. “I guess I can’t lie for too long. Come.” Slowly, Wendy followed Joohyun through the mansion to a locked room. Joohyun unlocked it and ushered her in. Wendy stood shocked by what she was seeing. There were portraits of a girl who looked just like Joy. The most shocking one was the one with Joohyun and Joy standing together. “This is my wife, Sooyoung. She went missing a long time ago.” The way Joohyun spoke those word broke Wendy’s heart. Although they were two very different beings, they loved the same. After that Wendy went back to her room, contemplating what Joohyun had told her. The whole situation was odd to her. How could Joy be Sooyoung? It made no sense to her. “Don’t think too hard about it, Wendy. Joohyun will figure it all out.” Seulgi’s voice startled Wendy. Seulgi appeared looking as beautiful and flawless as always. The two had hit off ever since she transferred to the new school. “Just sleep. Everything will be all right.” Seulgi’s soothing voice followed Wendy into her dreams that night. The room was dark besides the one light in the middle. Joohyun and Seulgi sat across from each other, the air of the room was tense. “What did you find out, Seulgi?” “It was as you speculated, the council. They feared if Sooyoung got pregnant, you would have an heir. An heir more powerful than yourself.” Seulgi’s words sent Joohyun to see red. She would destroy them. Unfortunately, she couldn’t do so that easily. “Seulgi, watch the house. I will be going to see them. Make sure Joy is safe.” Joohyun stood up and disappeared before Seulgi could refute her. How could she go alone? What if they did something to her? With a sigh Seulgi got up and headed towards the girls’ room. Hopefully, Joohyun would be back soon.
