Joohyun felt Joy’s presence as she sat down beside her. She was having difficulty in dealing with the girl because of her resemblance to Sooyoung. She was attempting to be friendly, but she was having difficulty in doing so. On the other hand, Joy was curious about the other girl. Joohyun was popular but so cold. She only had one friend and she didn’t interact with other students. Joy felt like the girl was intentionally ignoring her which infuriated Joy to now end. “Good morning, Joohyun.” Joy said with a smile that made her eyes disappear. Upon seeing this, Joohyun froze. She felt her heartbreak at the beautiful sight. Suddenly, Joohyun was gone. She had up and left the classroom. Joy sat shocked. All she said was good morning. On instinct, she ran after the girl. She found the girl in the bathroom, staring at her reflection. Joy approached her and grabbed her arm. Before she could think, Joohyun had Joy pushed against the wall. It happened in a split second, she was lost in thought when she felt someone touch her.Upon realizing what had just happened, Joohyun let the girl down. “Sorry.” She mumbled, “Forget about this.” Joy stared at the girl with wide eyes.  “You’re a….vampire.” it came out as almost a whisper, but Joohyun heard. Joohyun smiled softly, “So hunter, what are you going to do? Put my head on a platter? I’ve been around too long for a young’in like you to kill me.” Joy was frozen in her spot, just staring at the immortal in front of her. Her mind was racing. Were there more vampires in the school? Were they the ones making all the lowly vampires? It couldn’t be. “Have no fear, hunter. We are not the ones you are looking for. I have no need to make lowly creatures of that kind.” Joohyun had seemed to read her mind. With a small smile, the immortal left Joy frozen in her spot.  It had been a week since the incident with Joohyun and Joy had not seen her or Seulgi. Joy had told Wendy what had happened and the both of them were on the lookout for the two. Joy had walked into the classroom to see Joohyun back in her seat, looking out the window. The immortal had caught wind of Joy as their gazes met. Joy swore she could have seen the immortal smirk. “Hello, unnie. I’m glad to see your back.” Joy observed the vampire. “Unnie? Are you so sure you’re glad to see me? Are you sure you didn’t want me to disappear?” Joohyun whispered to the other girl.  “Why would I want that, unnie?” two could play at this game Joy thought. The immortal was trying to intimidate her, and she had to make sure that didn’t happen. With a smirk Joohyun looked back out the window. Joy was frozen once again; she felt small.  Class went on throughout the rest of the day with no issues. Although, Joy’s mind seemed to be preoccupied. She could not stop thinking about Joohyun. She felt as if she was being plagued with thoughts of Joohyun, she was everywhere.  Joy’s head started pounding as she walked towards the bathroom. Sharp pain overtook her body and then she blacked out. It was almost like a dream. Her dream was filled of Joohyun’s smile and laughter. Even them embracing! Sooyoung awoke with a shock as she gasped for air. Where was she? “Joy, are you okay? What happened?!” Wendy lunged forward obviously panicked. Joy was in the nurse’s office, even though she doesn’t remember how she got there. “Why am I here, unnie?” “Have you forgotten? You passed out in the hallway. Joohyun brought you here.” “Joohyun…..?” Joy’s face scrunched up in deep thought. Why did Joohyun save her? Or did her dreams have something to do with Joohyun saving her? “Don’t hurt yourself thinking, young’in.” a velvet voice broke Joy out of her thoughts. She looked up to see the one that she had been aching for. “Unnie…?” Joy was unsure. Unsure of herself and Joohyun. Everything was happening so quickly. Wendy was watching the two interact. She felt protective of Joy, but something told her that Joohyun wouldn’t hurt her. “Be more careful next time. What if you were hunting? I wouldn’t be able to save you then.” With that Joohyun left. She knew better then to linger to long, especially around the person she wanted to have.  Joy was left shocked. Jooyhun protect her? She felt her heart flutter.  “Let’s go home for today, unnie.” Joy mumbled, getting up slowly. She had to get out of here for today. Wendy didn’t ask and just left with the younger. Later that night the two were doing their rounds. Joy was trying to stay focused, but she was finding it difficult to.  “Look what we have here, some hunters. This is going to be fun.” A sickening voice rang in their ears. The vampire approached them, he was all alone. Although he was alone, the two could tell this wasn’t going to be as easy as last time. Joy and Wendy pulled out their handguns and daggers, ready to attack. The vampire didn’t even flinch when Wendy fired a shot at it. “You look like Sooyoung.” The vampire said with a nauseating smirk, “you also smell of Joohyun, could she be around? It’s been ages since I have seen her.” Before Joy could react, that vampire had pushed Wendy away and grabbed Joy. His tongue was on her neck, licking and ready to dive his fangs in. “Back off, Taeyong.” A snarl came from the darkness as Joohyun and Seulgi appeared. Seulgi went over to Wendy to make sure she was okay as Joohyun approached Joy. “Well look who it is. Here to try to save the girl who resembles Sooyong. What a small world it is Joohyun.”  The vampire called Taeyong kept his hold on Joy. All she could think about who Joohyun in front of her. She could tell how angry Joohyun was. Her eyes looked so cold and fierce, it was almost as if she was a different person. “Taeyong, do you think you can win?” the air around them started to change as Joohyun’s eyes turned red. “Don’t think I will let you leave here alive.” Before Taeyong could speak his body was frozen. Although he was dead already he has never felt so cold before. His body was turning into ice. Joohyun hadn’t lifted a finger, is this how strong a pureblood was? Before he could even try to convince Joohyun to spare him, he was gone. His body turned to ice and shattered into ashes.  Joy was frozen in her spot. Joohyun was powerful, way too powerful. A pureblood as well. Joy had never encountered one before. They were few and always hid.  Joohyun moved closer to the shivering hunter, her eyes were still red. Slowly the immortal wrapped her arms around the frightened girl. She whispered something in Joy’s ear that she could not understand. Her eyes closed as she fell into a deep slumber.  “Seulgi, come. Bring the other hunter with you.”  “Right here, unnie.”  The two vampires disappeared into the night with girls in their arms.
