At birth, each is gifted an "opposite" to complete their pair. Living in different parts of the world, each pair is called culo. They are soulmates and destined to be together. Yet, split apart and strewn across the globe, they have neither recollection nor memory of their partner. Sleeping and dreaming, the pairs venture into the dreams and subconscious of the other. However, once the dream ends, all knowledge and experience gained is automatically stored in the depths of the mind, only to be remembered when the time is right. Each of these twelve possesses a lapillus within their heart, in which their individual power manifests.
