The Ramen Shop (Part 1) (1/1)
Chapter TwentyThe Ramen Shop (Part 1) It was a quiet walk as we slugged down the dusty driveway to the end of our street."Will you still not tell me where we're going?" I asked, giving him an impatient look.He grinned down at me. "Nope.""Come on~" I whined, tugging lightly on his arm.He only smiled widely and ignored my protests."If you won't tell me," I started, shooting him an accusing look. "Then I'll ask you something else."He nodded, a small smile playing on his lips."So . . . what did Yongguk just tell you back in the house." I looked forward, ready to hear an answer, but it did not come. I looked to my side and realized Zelo wasn't there. He had stopped walking and was staring at me with red cheeks, his eyes trying to avoid my stare when he realized I was looking at him."N-nothing," he said. It was the exact same thing that he said to me before when I had asked him. I rolled my eyes and backed up so that I was by Zelo's side once again. I laughed at his face that had turned red and how his eyes looked anywhere that wasn't me. "Come on," I said, tugging him forward. "I won't ask you anymore."He smiled and looked at me, the color on his face going back to normal. "So, are you excited?" he asked, but he seemed even more excited than me. "Um . . . I would be much more excited if I knew where we were going," I said, giving him a look. He chuckled and put and arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "Shh, and just enjoy every second of it."I smiled, squished againt his body and completely in Heaven.I gurantee I will enjoy every second. "Can I ask you some questions?" he said out of the blue when we had stopped at a vacant bus station. I looked at him with narrowed eyes. "Sure." I dragged out the word, not really sure what I was expecting. He gave me a to-die-for smile and all of my nerves melted in that one second. "But you have to answer truhtfully," he said right before he started. And the nerves were back. Oh no."What is . . . your favorite color?" Oh, it was these questions? Then that's easy."Purple," I answered, a small smile tugging on my lips. "What's you favorite . . . drama?""Boys over Flowers."He nodded. "Who's your favorite actor?""Song Joong Ki," I said, smiling at the thought of the cute actor. I looked at Zelo and saw him pouting, his bottom lip slightly pushed out and he had his arms crossed. "What?" I asked. "How can you swoon over another man in front of me?" He gave me a stubborn look and I laughed. "Come on, Zelo-ah. He's so much older than me anyways, so--""What did you just call me?" he asked, leaning in with wide eyes. "Huh?""Um . . . Zelo-ah . . . ?" He broke into a grin and then lifted his arms in the air, a huge smile on his face. "You said 'ah'!" A random stranger passed us and he ran off of the bench and said, "She said 'ah'!" to them. They ran away from us, not realizing that he was Zelo from B.A.P. I laughed and pulled him back onto the bench. "Don't freak out random citizens. It's so not cool," I scolded, but I was laughing in between words, totally throwing the purpose of my dialogue out of the window. He grinned and laughed, too. "Now say Junhong-ah." I shook my head. It's embarrassing."Please," he whined like a little child. "Please please please please please." I smiled, but still shook my head. "No."He groaned and looked the other way, his lip pushed out a little in a slight pout. I shook his arm and did some aegyo, right in the middle of the street. "Bbuing bbuing~" He still didn't look at me. I did it again. "Bbuing bbuing~"He looked and cracked a smile. "Fine, I'll let it slide." He put his finger up. "But this is the only time," he warned. I laughed and we continued walking. "I didn't finish my own questions," he said after a few minutes of silence. I waited for him to tell me his questions. "Um," he started. "What's your favorite food?" he asked. "Ramen!" I said, giving him a big smile. "Ramen! Ramen! Ramen!" He laughed and nudged me slightly. "Okay, okay, okay. Let me ask another question."I nodded and smiled to myself. I'm so happy."When do you think I look my best?" he asked. I looked at him, taken by surprise. "Um . . . you always look good," I said. Good answer, LaeJoon. He stopped and made me stop with him. He looked into my eyes. "Answer my question truthfully. Not what answer you think I will like."I looked away from him, thinking. Then I looked back at him. "I know! When you look your happiest!" I put a finger on my lips to keep me busy and I smiled slightly. "When you smile and when your eyes sparkle with that . . . oh, I don't know . . . sparkle?""And when do I look my happiest?" he asked, the sparkle in his eyes. That sparkle that made me shiver. The sparkle that made my heart leap in anticipation. The same sparkle. "When your on stage," I answered easily. He furrowed his eyebrows, giving me a confused look. "Huh?"I smiled and laughed at him. He didn't even notice."When your eyes sparkle, it's usually because you're on stage. The love you get from fans and the love you feel for them, makes you're eyes sparkle with light." I looked passed his head, remembering his eyes when I had looked him up online. He was in a concert and his eyes looked . . . beautiful. His eyes were wide and his lips were parted slightly, curling up a little in a smile. "You are wonderful." He bent down and kissed my forehead like he had done eariler. "Let's go," he cooed after he had pulled back and laced his hand through mine once more. He pulled me away from my daze. He just kissed my forehead. Calm down, LaeJoon. Calm down!"Any more questions?" I asked as we walked down an empty, unfamiliar road. "Later." He shot me a mischevious look. Oh no.My thoughts came to a halt when I realized what we had stopped at. We were in front of a little ramen shop. No one was inside except for an ajumma and an ajussi. "Ajumma!" Zelo said cheerfully as he walked inside. "You finally came, huh?" the Ajussi said, rolling some kind of dough. I quietly trailed in behind him. "Who's this?" the Ajumma cooed as she walked around Zelo and held her arms out towards me. "Oh, so beautiful," she said. She put her hands on either side of my face and then looked at Zelo. "Your girlfriend?"He smiled and she laughed and then looked at me, my face still in her hands. "Very pretty." She let me go and then walked up to Zelo, who was more than a foot taller than she was. "You've gotten bigger, haven't you?" she said. "How's HaNi?"His smile faded and he looked at me. "I don't care," he said. She smiled and looked at him. "Me neither. Thought I'd just be polite." She grunted and sat down next to him at a table near the back of the tiny resturaunt. I smiled and chuckled to myself. "How are you doing, ajussi?" he asked the man who was still rolling the dough. The man smiled, but did not answer him. Zelo nodded, satisfied. I looked at Zelo with a smile. "What are we doing here, exactly?"He grinned. "We are here to eat! Yongguk hyung loves this place, too." He wiggled his eyebrows, making me chuckle. "The usual?" Ajumma asked Zelo."Yes please," he said, turning back to me. "So," he started. "Can I ask you another question . . . ?"I narrowed my eyes. "Sure. . . ."I was a little cautious, afraid of what he may ask me. "What'd you think of your first kiss?" I laughed, throwing my head back so I was looking at the ceiling. I pulled it back to look at Zelo and I gave him a look of disbelief. "It was terrible!" I admitted with a giggle. "The boy fell on me." As I said it, I gave Zelo a look. "Hey, maybe you were just too irresistable," he said, raising an eyebrow. I laughed again. "Yeah . . . I think he just wanted my donut." Zelo laughed and then nodded. "Yeah, you're right."I giggled, completely happy with the way everything was going. I'm so happy.Thank you, Junhong-ah~ There's your happy moments!
