Tutorial 14: Shadow Refle (1/1)
This tutorial is going to teach you how to add a shadow reflection of your text, like this:1. Get your poster ready, or if you are just practicing this technique, then open up a new canvas that is roughly about 350 (width) X 150 (height).
2. Click on the text tool and type the title of your poster, or whatever you want to say. Try and center the text if possible, you can do that by grabbing on the corners of the text box and making the box the width of the poster. You can manipulate the height this way as well by clicking on the top and bottom handles. Look at the tool options box that is located underneath the tool palette and find ‘Justify.’ Click on the third box on the right, it will center your text within the text box. Also, make sure your text is high enough so you can have some space underneath for the shadow.
3. Make a duplicate layer of the text. You can do that by clicking the box looking button that is the fifth one underneath the layer palette. You can also just left click on the layer in the layer palette and click ‘Duplicate Layer.’
4. Click on the move tool, it is the button that looks like a crosshair mouse arrow, and make sure you have ‘Move the active layer’ checked in the tool options box. Click on the duplicate layer and move it below the original layer, like this: 5. Now click on the rotate tool button. Move the layer around like this:Please Subscribe to read the full chapter
