The Dispute Begins

The ward was in chaos. After a few rounds of resuscitation, Lu Zhen opened her eyes.

When the doctor saw that Lu Zhen had woken up, he quickly asked, “Miss Lu, how do you feel now?”

Lu Zhen shook her head at the doctor. “I’m fine. I was just angry.”

As she spoke, Lu Zhen’s tears also flowed down. She glanced around and saw that the door had already closed. The paparazzi who had secretly taken photos was no longer around.

Her gaze finally landed on Sun Xiao and she said softly, “Should I not have said anything? I didn’t expect it to turn out like this.”

Her eyelashes were lowered, casting a shadow under her eyes. Lu Zhen looked extremely fragile, and sorrow filled the entire ward.

However, before Sun Xiao could speak, a nurse said loudly, “Zhenzhen, you did the right thing. Why should you help her hide her evil deeds? I saw it just now. When she hit the wall, she deliberately restrained her strength. Pfft! Shameless! She cried, threw a tantrum, and tried to threaten suicide. Did she watch too many television dramas?”

After hearing the nurse’s words, the others also chuckled. Even the usually serious doctor had amusement in his eyes.

“Miss Lu, rest well. If possible, I suggest you undergo systematic desensitization therapy in the psychological department.”

Lu Zhen knew that the doctor was talking about her fear of water and nodded.

After the doctors and nurses left, Sun Xiao held Lu Zhen’s hand with reddened eyes.

“Sister Zhenzhen, cut ties with that family! That family isn’t good.”

Lu Zhen sat up and sighed softly. She raised her hand to wipe away the tears at the corner of Sun Xiao’s eyes.

“I know they’re not good people, but they still raised me. Unless there’s an opportunity for me to leave the Lu family, if I say it, no matter what reason I have, it’ll be used as an excuse to attack me and ruin my reputation.”

“Can’t you leave this time?” Sun Xiao asked in confusion.

Lu Zhen shook her head. “There’s no evidence. I think there will probably be two opposing opinions online about this matter. One side will defend me unconditionally, while the others who see Lu Rou banging her head against the wall will think that I’m making a mountain out of a molehill.”
