△ 奇怪的爱 ▽ Love, Lu Han thought as he rolled over sleeplessly, is a really strange thing. It's constantly under scrutiny from every philosopher and professor you could ever name and no one ever really seems to have an answer to what it exactly it is. Or rather, everyone has a different view and can never universally agree on one simple idea that everyone agrees on.He supposes that's probably better; if everyone had to agree on one way of describing it, then he himself could never describe his relationship with Minseok.

They didn't fight. Maybe once or twice when Minseok worked himself too hard, or if Lu Han came home with a few bruises and a scratch or two and Minseok would flush red silently, and text Kris to give him the information of Lu Han's most recent client. Obviously, Minseok didn't kill people; that was reckless and not a smart choice under Kris' regime. He would come home with bloody knuckles and his temper gone, however. Lu Han would immediately flick his forehead and whine at him, telling him there was no need for the constant protection; I'm an adult, Minseok, I can look after myself and accept the consequences of the job I have.

Minseok would frown and nod, before Lu Han would kiss his knuckles and work on cleaning him up.

At first glance, their relationship was slightly dysfunctional. Their careers were sketchy enough, Lu Han was a mafia-hired prostitute and Minseok inspected drugs in the office of said mafia group. He couldn't even properly remember how they'd met; considering they were on complete opposite sides of the trade and they didn't bump into each other in the hallways or in the elevator, like so many romantic stories go. Kris had organized a company party two years ago and what they were celebrating neither of them could remember considering they were both ridiculously inebriated. They'd fallen into each others laps when everyone was doing shots or dancing, and Lu Han started grinding down on Minseok in the drunk vision that he was a client and Minseok had been too drunk and a little too turned on to push him off. He came in his pants, embarrassingly, and Lu Han had laughed and taken him home to clean up. They both fell asleep on each other on the couch, and when they woke up there was a brief confusion (considering they'd never formally met each other before) as to who they were, and then laughter when they remembered they were both hired by the same man.

When Lu Han cooked him breakfast that morning, he had laughed again when he recalled Minseok's incident and Minseok had whacked him on the head and told him to respect your damn hyungs and take me out for dinner to shut him up (successfully) and Lu Han had flushed and nodded.

The dinner had been fleeting touches and polite smiles, as they got to know each other (there was no harm in making new friends, Minseok had thought) and it had led to slightly more than lap grinding that evening and whispers of attraction in the quietness of Minseok's apartment.

The rest, really, is history.

"Minseok-ah! You're going to be late!" Lu Han yells from the kitchen, and laughs to himself when he hears distant grumbling and the eventual footsteps into the kitchen.

"Remind me why I agreed to take double shifts today..." Minseok grumbles nuzzling himself in Lu Han's back as he poured coffee into a cracked mug and hands it to him.

"Get this in you, open your eyes properly then get your ass in that car" Lu Han replies brightly, turning round and fixing Minseok's tie properly, while he nodded slowly and proceeded to down half the mugs' contents in three gulps an
