Excuse me for a while (1/1)

"Taemin-ah", I shouted. He's playing dodge ball with the kids at the park... again. He's always like that, childish but sweet. Lee Taemin is my bestfriend. It's been 10 years, you know. I know him a lot, even his secrets in life. I'm always comfortable with him, I mean, ALL THE TIME. "I'm coming! Let us finish our game first", he shouted.  Taemin is very nice and good, that he can make every girl fall inlove with him. With his killer smile, sparkling eyes and warm heart, you have to be ready because you might fall for him. And by the way, he has a girlfriend, Park Sang Hee unnie.  "You guys done?", I grinned. "Obvious, right?", he joked. "Then let's eat ice cream!" I jumped as I giggled. "Good, since I'm craving for it.", then he smiled. "Let's go."  When we arrived at the store, we take our orders. "We'll have one chocolate ice cream and strawberry ice cream, please.", Taemin said to the cashier. "Okay, sir". "Let me pay it", I said, giving him a grin. "No, you should let me", he said as he is pulling off his money on his pocket. I took the money from my pocket first and pay it to the waiting cashier. "Here you go", I said as I pay. "Ow, thank you, Soo Jin. I owe you a lot.", he said then he flashed a smile. "No problem, Taemin", I smiled. I saw right in the corner of my eye, the cashier is giggling then she suddenly asked, "You guys are so sweet. You are the sweetest couple I've ever seen", she smiled at us. I just laugh and so does Taemin. "That's funny we're just bestfriends", I giggled. "Oh, that's bad. You two looks good together. Well, here's your order. Enjoy! The cashier said. "Thanks", was all got out from Taemin's mouth. After we eat, we walked home together, since we're neighbors. I love walking home with him because he's so bubbly and he's full of stories to tell. And at last, we arrived at out house.. "I've really had a fun time today", I grinned. "Me too. I'll pick you up tomorrow, okay? 10:30 am. I'll be telling you something important tomorrow", he smiled. "Okay. Goodbye!", then I walked into the house.  THE NEXT DAY.. Rrrrrriiinnnngggggg!!!! Rrrriiiinnnngggg!!!!  It's 6:00 in the morning and someone is calling me. How pathetic. It's Key, my suitor since last month. I quickly grabbed my phone and answer his call, "Yoboseyo?", I said then I yawned. "I'm sorry to bother you but, are you free this day?" he asked. "Ne, why?" I muttered, knowing that my mind is not in its own condition. "I'll be asking you out for a date. I'll pick you up at 10:00, 'kay?" he said. "Okay, whatever", I said, trying to end up the conversation and then I hung up, not saying goodbye or whatever. I just want to sleep again, so I do. I woke up at 9:00 am. I must be forgetting something important.. Is it... Oh, it is Key, who asked me out for a date. I smiled then suddenly realized I must be getting ready this time. I quickly grabbed a dress then head to the bathroom and then eat. At last, I'm finished at exactly 10:00. The doorbell rang after a few minutes. It's Key, holding a bouquet of flowers, then he gave it to me. "Thank You", I smiled. "No problem, Soo Jin. You look gorgeous.", he grinned. "Thanks. Let's go."  THEN WE ARRIVED AT A RESTAURANT  I grabbed the menu and choose wha set I will take. I'll take Set A and Key will take Set B. There's a deep silence ensued between us while we are waiting for our food, then he broke the silence that's deafening me. "Um, Soo Jin?", he said as he stopped his fingers drumming the table. "What?", was all I said. "C-can I b-be your b-boyfriend? I-i mean can you b-be my g-girlfriend? I'll protect you from any harm and I'll take care of you no matter what.", he stuttered. Why is he like this?! I am speechless! I suddenly remembered what Taemin said before.  -FLASHBACK-I was attacked by a bully. Taemin's always there to comfort me while I'm bursting out in tears. "It's okay, Soo Jin, I got you", he said while patting my back. "No, it's not!", I cried. "I'LL ALWAYS BE THE ONE WHO'LL PROTECT YOU FROM ANY HARM AND WILL BE TAKING CARE FOR YOU NO MATTER WHAT. I'LL BE HERE BY YOUR SIDE, FOREVER", he muttered as he's trying to comfort me. That was 7 years ago. -END OF FLASHBACK-  Key is looking at me, curiously, waiting for my answer. "Um.. You know.. I-", then my phone rang. It's Taemin calling! Soo Jin, you fool! How can you forget your walk with Taemin?! It's 12:00 and I'm letting him wait for 2 and a half hour. I answered my phone. "Taemin, I'll be home, I'm sorry. Bye", I hung up not hearing a voice from him. "Key, can you excuse me for a while? I'm sorry", I run as fast as I could and I head home, knowing that Taemin must be waiting for me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I'll post the next chap. tomorrow.
