Chapter 2: Memories [Part (1/1)
[Flashback (sequel)]
Hyejeong was busy with the whole work for the sub-unit while Seolhyun was busy filming the drama; so they didn't get to see each other for the whole day; neither did they message or call one another.
One thing Seolhyun knew for sure was that Hyejeong had to be home by the time Seolhyun would get there. She also knew that Hyejeong would have to leave for Japan sometime soon, and she didn't really want to make their relationship go tense so she already practiced the words she was going to say in the evening. On her way home, just to be certain, she dialled the manager's number and got assured that the unit's work was done and that they'd be returning home in a few minutes.
When at last she reached the dormitory, she wearily walked off to her room, but she stopped right before the door and once again thought about what she was going to say.
'If she says this I'll say that, and if she acts that way I'll just say this.' She kept repeating in her mind. She had that habit of always thinking of different situations and almost turning them into movie plots (born actress) and memorizing her parts. She slowly moved her hand to the door handle and could feel her palms begin to sweat, but she shook her head and opened the door, soundlessly sneaking into the room. Her eyes rolled, searching for that special person, but much to her dismay, she wasn't in the room. She thought about walking around the house in hope to see her somewhere, but she chose another option: "Eonni!" She stopped Jimin who was passing by, supposedly walking to her own room.
"Hyejeong isn't back yet, if that's what you are going to ask." Jimin was busy playing something on her phone so she kept going, replying to the question Seolhyun didn't even get a chance to ask.
"But you were with them..." Seolhyun stumbled while walking alongside the leader.
"Well, they told they'd be back soon."
"So they went somewhere?" Seolhyun frowned.
"I don't know. Why don't you ask Hyejeong anyway?" Jimin reached her room's door and turned to Seolhyun.
"Uhm... I will..." Seolhyun replied before going back to her room.
'Fine, I'll just wait.' She decided. She couldn't really say she was calm, but she wasn't necessarily enraged as well.
5 minutes (that felt like eternity). 10 minutes. 15 minutes.
'The hell with waiting, what if something happened to them?' She already started imagining things that were least likely to happen and she even went up to the point of imagining a car accident or a physical attack from anti-fans, so she couldn't really keep calm any longer. She took her phone and dialled Hyejeong's number with trembling hands while her breathing became shallow as the phone kept ringing.
"Hello?" Hyejeong's voice resounded.
"Are you okay?" Although the feeling of relief moderated Seolhyun's disrupted mood after hearing Hyejeong's voice, she could still feel an increased blood flow to her face, unaware of what exactly could cause that.
"Yes?.."
