-Chapter 30- Last Prince (1/1)

Sunggyu walked through the halls before entering his study. As the eldest, he was given the study by their parents, only to be used in dire emergencies.This was one of those emergencies.He sat down on the plush red chair at the desk, stroking his fingers along the velvet square it revealed a keyboard and plasma screen above the fireplace in front of him.Three figures waited on the other side of the screen."Hello, Prince Sunggyu. What is this matter that is so urgent you have to call us now?" The middle one said."Our mate has come." Sunggyu said calmly."You know that we cannot do anything until she gets the box from Princess Krystal." He replied."I know that, Jaejoong hyung. That is not what I am worried about. Once she has the box, I am worried about what Princess Krystal will do afterwards." Sunggyu explained.The middle one looked to his brothers and muttered something before facing Sunggyu again, "There is something we can do about this." He said.The one on the left proceeded to talk, "If Princess Krystal should so much as harm a hair on your mate's head, then we will interfere." He told him.Sunggyu slammed his fist down on the table, "That's not good enough!" He said angrily. "Princess Krystal has already tried on numerous occasions to kill our mate and once she has the box, there is no stopping Princess Krystal from going crazy and killing her." Jaejoong calmed his brother, "He has a point, Junsu. We are meant to protect her before she gets harmed, once she has the box." He said.The one on his right interrupted, "We can offer a spy in your castle to help us find the right moment of which to arrest Princess Krystal should she attempt to harm your mate." He offered."I can live with this." Sunggyu said simply."Great idea, Yoochun. Very well. We shall send you a male spy to become a member of your Royal Guard so that he may keep an eye on your mate in case Krystal needs to be stopped. He is not allowed to help her in dire situations until she has the box, understood?" Jaejoong said firmly."Yes, Jaejoong hyung." Sunggyu bowed his head lowly to the screen."Good. Now, go get some real business done." Jaejoong dismissed him as the TV screen went black.Sunggyu let out a small sigh of relief as that matter was already settled.---"Why are you only nice to me now?" She asked him.He turned to her, "I didn't know if you were telling us the truth or not." He answered."Myungsoo oppa.. I wouldn't lie to you." She said.He laughed at her, "I know that now. But we have been lied to many times, by many common folk and royalty alike who have tried to save us from Krystal only to want to keep us to themselves. Their hearts were not pure so they couldn't find the key to save us." He said."Only a pure-hearted person can find the key?" Sun Mi asked him."Only a person that has no intention of using the key for anything other than good, can find the key." He corrected her."Wow…" She whispered softly."The laws are very strict, you know. No one can help get the box, you must get it on your own, it determines your worthiness as our mate." Myungsoo told her."I understand that." Sun Mi replied."We will do our best to keep you alive." He said."I know you will." She smiled at him before they ended up sitting down at a bench."So, I have a question to ask of you." He told her."What is it? If I am capable of answering it, then I will answer it."
