[CONTENTID1]shot[/CONTENTID1][CONTENTID2]Chapter Thirty Two[/CONTENTID2][CONTENTID3]After the first hour of screaming, a man had come in and told Jakyung to quiet down because – get this – she was bothering the neighbors. She laughed at that one. The first time someone bought her food, she’d spit in their face. The second time, the man simply pried her mouth open and shoved a granola bar in. She spat it out. The third time he brought a partner and together they made sure the food went in her mouth, was chewed and swallowed, lest she get shocked by a cattle prod. She didn’t like getting shocked.“I’m sorry that my men were so rough with you,” Hyunsuk said when he visited her after the feeding attempts. “But you must understand that in order for this plan of mine to work to completion, I need you alive. I may even keep you alive after if you behave well.” The glint in his eyes told her that she did not want to find out what he had in store for her if he kept her around.“How long have you kept me here?” She asked. She knew it could have been much longer than a day or two, but she wanted to know for sure.“Almost three days. Eager to leave already? I thought we were having fun.” Hyunsuk smiled that slimy smile.“Fuck you.”“Be careful what you wish for.” Hyunsuk stood and made for the door.+++Taekyung had spent every waking moment since he’d found out Jakyung had gone missing organizing a search tem and scouring the city for her. It was damn near impossible, seeing as the last people to see her had been too inebriated to remember much of anything, and she was without her phone or anything else he could have used to track her electronically. The only thing he knew was that it had been Yang Hyunsuk who organized the operation.Taekyung blamed himself for all of it. He shouldn’t have put his trust in EXO and instead taken care of her security himself. He should have been the one to find the hangar full of body parts that sent his sister further into a mad spiral of repressed fear and rage. He should have been the one to-“Sir, we’ve received a message.”Taekyung was broken out of his reverie by one of his men shoving a piece of paper under his nose. It was a rather rude intrusion, but it brought him out of his thoughts long enough to read the ransom note.I have the stone that will kill the birds. Such a pretty stone. It’d be a shame to bathe it in blood. It was handwritten in meticulously straight lines and a slight forward slant. Taekyung didn’t need to guess who wrote it. He took note of the location and time listed on the bottom of the page and handed it back to the man.“Deliver this to Kim Jongin. He shouldn’t be hard to find.”Taekyung slumped back into his seat the moment the man left the room. His thoughts strayed to Jiyeon, who was currently scouring the outer edges of the city with a team of her own looking for any signs of Yang Hyunsuk and his cronies. She reported to him that his men were – go figure – not in any of their usual territorial haunts, nor were they in any of the neutral zones of the city. Taekyung figured Hyunsuk wanted all the guard he could get around Jakyung, but what didn’t make sense to him was why Hyunsuk was even keeping her alive to use her as leverage. From what Taekyung knew of the man, Hyunsuk was as unstable as a gang leader could get before his own men started to question his leadership. He killed without remorse, his strategy was normally haphazard and unnecessarily violent, and he dealt in all sorts of underground activity that even Taekyung wouldn’t consider reasonable gangster activity. When it came to women, Hyunsuk had a reputation of short patience and a firm backhand. There were few women in his inner circle, and even those that were close to him were held at a distance much further than the men. There had been rumors only once about his sexuality, but they were quashed when the perpetrators of such slander were caught and stuffed and mounted on the wall of Hyunsuk’s office. Taekyung knew his sister had a mouth, knew she was clever enough to know when to speak and when not to and what to say, but like everyone else, he knew that she had broken to the point where he wasn’t sure that her own life meant anything. She had been so focused on Mark Tuan that she had lost sight of Hyunsuk. Another thing he blamed himself for. Another thing he couldn’t protect his sister from.Taekyung stood. Having had enough of a pity party for one day, he began to move again, formulating a plan of just how badly he was going to torture the men who had laid their filthy hands on his siter.++Silence.Heavy and terrible and tense. The knife sliced through the air and lodged into the wall just left of center to the bulls eye. Slender fingers picked up the next knife from the case and a subtle flick of the wrist had this knife dislodging the first and creating yet another small knick in the wooden target. Suho watched with a mixture of concern and fascination.“Have you eaten yet today?”“No. Not hungry.”“You’re going to need all the energy you can get. They just sent a message for a meeting. Taekyung wants us there.”Chen’s head whipped around so fast, Suho could almost hear the muscles straining not to snap.“When?”“Tomorrow night. Sehun already found the location. Some abandoned plot of land north of the city,” Suho told him. He noted the dark circles beneath his cousin’s eyes and the perpetual frown that seemed to be more familiar lately than the catlike grin’s he was used to.“Come on, you need to eat. Kyungsoo is cooking.”For whatever reason, Chen decided to follow him silently to the kitchen where the others were already assembled. More silence. It didn’t need to be said that along with the relief of finally knowing where Jakyung was, the men were fueled with determined rage to get her back.  They wouldn’t ever admit that the fear they had far outweighed any other emotion they may have felt.++++The next time the men came, it was to free Jakyung from her bonds. She knew better that to launch straight into fight mode – they would be prepared for that – so she waited to strike until they were in a narrow hallway and she was walking in between the two goons. She certainly did have the element of surprise,  but she only managed to make it to the door at the end of the hall before having that stupid cattle prod thrust into her side. She fell like a brick, whacking her head on the doorknob as she went down, and the last thought she had as darkness greeted her was that a cheeseburger was in order as soon as she was free of this hell. When she woke again, she was not only bound to a chair, she was also muzzled. A precaution, she thought, against her previous attempts at screaming the ears off of any one in hearing range. As her vision cleared, and her mind became less fuzzy, she noted that she was in a much larger room than she had been in before. She glanced down at her restraints. It occurred to her that they were rather loose, and if she just wiggled enough…With surprise, relief, and a hefty amount of suspicion, the ropes binding her hands came undone. Jakyung sat there for a moment, waiting for some trap to trigger, or for someone to come barreling into the room, that dreaded cattle prod at the ready. When nothing happened, she undid the ropes binding her legs, and unclasped the muzzle from her face. She stood and stretched, once again waiting for someone or something to come in and prevent her escape. It wasn’t until she was five steps away from the chair did she hear a screeching feedback over an intercom system .“Ah, Miss Park. I see you’ve come to.”Yang Hyunsuk’s voice was distorted by the gravely white noise of the old PA, but Jakyung couldn’t mistake it for anything else. She stayed still and silent, knowing that he was watching her.“I have someone here who would like to speak with you,” Hyunsuk continued. “Unfortunately for you, he’d rather speak face to face. I wasn’t sure why, until he told me that your relationship to him is long standing and that it’s been a while since you two spoke.”The color drained from Jakyung’s face as she realized who Hyunsuk was referring to. There was a short silence before someone cleared their throat and a smooth, deep voice greeted her.“Let’s play a game Jakyung.”++“An amusement park?” Luhan asked incredulously as he and the others in his car pulled up to the abandoned parking lot. “He is out of his fucking mind. What a creep.”“Says the man who takes pleasure in kidnapping and torturing people,” Kyungsoo muttere
