Down the mountain range (1/1)
-End of month one-Everyday I would visit Bang. After school and weekends until visiting time was over. I wanted to stay longer but the nurses insisted I go home and sleep. Somehow I managed to sleep at night and keep my grades decent. I was also beginning to see a bump forming in my stomach area, it was small but still there. With the shirts I wore, no one could tell. But I could tell and it was starting to scare me. Today it was a Wednesday. I was sitting at Bang's bedside as usual when a doctor walked in and looked at me for a good long minute. "Can I help you?" I asked, trying to reduced the awkwardness. He cleared his throat, "Well, this is a very difficult topic to discuss." I arched my eyebrows, "Is it about him?"He nodded, "There is a slim chance he will wake up. I recommend, based on your age, that you move on from him and continue your life with someone else.""No, that's not possible." I replied, shaking my head furiously. The doctor sighed, "You're young, you have an entire life still ahead of you. It will be better for you to go and find someone that can actually take care of you." "What's that supposed to mean?" I snarled."I didn't mean any disrespect, I'm sure that when he was awake he would take care of you. I just meant that now since he's in this state, he is unable to provide anything to you."I stood up and crossed my arms, "What if I do and he wakes up when I've moved on and am happy?""I can't help you with that. That might be a risk you'll have to take. I'm sure he'll understand." I looked down at Bang who looked so peaceful for once. Would it really be a good idea to just leave him and move on? If he ever woke up, he'd be understanding. Wouldn't he?"Alright, I'll just go then." I said, walking past the doctor and out the hospital doors. But this wasn't going to be the last time I ever visited, I told myself. Now where to go. Daehyun wouldn't take me because of Youngjae, Jongup wasn't interested in dating, and Zelo was a little too young for me. That just leaves Himchan. Unless he's changed his mind, he'd probably just love for me to come into his arms. So I guess that's where I'm going. But first I was going to stop at a convince store to pick something up. Once at the small shop I realized that some small bits of plastic that you pee on were actually kind of expensive. I'd probably only need one but they didn't sell singles. Unfortunately. As I went to pay, the woman behind the counter gave me a sad look. She handed me the bag and muttered "sorry." She couldn't have been much older than I am.I walked to Himchan's house, bag tightly in my fist. The walk wasn't that far but I rushed there. There were two main reasons: one was that I actually really have to use the bathroom and two was that Himchan won't refuse me. Finally, I reached Himchan's house and knocked on the door. It took a couple minutes, and a lot of crashing, until he opened his door. Without a shirt on, I might add. He seemed confused when he saw me but I pushed past, running towards the bathroom, and dropping the plastic bag on the way."Hey! What's going on?" he shouted, following after me slowly."I have to pee." I responded, accidentally waving the hand with the box in it. "Wait, wait. What's that?" He asked, coming up to me quickly and grabbing my hand.I bit my lip as he looked at the box, his brows furrowed and he looked back up at me. "Go, go!" he urged, pushing me towards the bathroom, "I'll be right outside the door, alright?"I nodded and rushed into the bathroom, tightly shutting the door behind me. The box opened easily and I pulled one of the sticks out and the directions. After I got the gist I actually used it. Then I just had to wait about five minutes. Himchan would knock on the door at some points and i would tell him just to wait. Then the time was up and I shut my eyes tightly, holding it up in front of my eyes. I peeked before opening my eyes fully. Two red lines. Positive. Oh shit. It slipped from my hand and I started crying. Himchan opened the door and rushed to me, grabbing my shoulders. He arched his eyebrows and I nodded in response. He smiled a little then hugged me."Yongguk is going to make a great father, you know?" He whispered.I shook my head now, "The doctor said he might not wake up."He pulled back, still holding my shoulders, "And if he doesn't, I can help. I'll help you raise it."I smiled at him. But I just wanted Bang to wake up. I could care less about raising a kid with him. But I've got to try and move on. "Himchan?""Yea?""They told me I should just move on from Bang. Can I be with you?""Absolutely."
