The smell of the roses touched his nostrils, earning nothing but a pleasant smile on his lips. Kyungsoo tasted his rose water and decided it was good.His mother always made this for him when he was younger. It was almost considered as juice to him. His situation had been so poor that the only thing he could consume was water and maybe bread. But every now and then, his mother would pick roses from trees and heat them up in water. Kyungsoo missed his mother. She had taught him lots of things. Never let your status stop your goals, she would always tell him. The omega cherished those words and he believes his mother is the reason why he's so strong.Kyungsoo remembers it as if it was an hour ago when he received the news that she had passed. After he married Jongin, he did loan money to her. Kyungsoo even begged her to move in the great castle but she declined. He still has no idea why she didn't want to live her last days in comfort.Kyungsoo jolted in surprise when he felt two strong arms grip his waist. He could feel the hard on pressing into him. The omega knew it was his husband when his scent met his nose. "What do you want?" He was irritated."You." Jongin declared."No.""Why not?" He pressed harder into his mate.Kyungsoo never liked this side of Jongin. "Because I'm not in the mood."Jongin released him. "Why don't you ever want sex nowadays? Yeah when you're in your heat you do but back then you was open to it anytime. Am I doing something wrong?"Kyungsoo turned into his mate, a frown on his forehead. "I just don't want to, Jongin. Kyungsoo gripped his mouth, unable to grasp what was before him. His body had given up on him, his limbs incapable of moving. This is it, he thought. The Cumal smiled at him, teeth showing perfectly. It's red eyes complimented the white moon behind it. It's long arms moved towards the smaller body. Kyungsoo could feel the long fingers squeeze into his stomach. It was as if fire had been decorating his whole body. Please, don't.Kyungsoo paralyzed body left when he realized the Cumal mouth was opening, liquid falling between its teeth and hot breath fanning Kyungsoo's face. "Let go of me, you bastard!" The omega screamed in terror, tears strolling down his small face. "I can't die! Not yet!"The more he screamed the more he was being shoved into the mouth. Kyungsoo was more disturbed that the Cumal was trying to eat him, not kill him with its hands. He had never witnessed such a thing.Kyungsoo bare foot was touching the sloppy tongue as his right foot stomped on the bottom row of the cumal's teeth, his hands struggling to keep the top row up. He could feel his body turning into a ball of paper. His tears couldn't stop. "You're not going to eat me, dick head!" He could feel the Cumal laugh, shocked that it could even do that but Kyungsoo didn't give up. The omega continued to push the mouth a part. The attempt to use his powers wasn't even an option; Kyungsoo could only use a little at a time. Truth is, his grandfather hadn't taught him how to use the powers. Kyungsoo only knew he could communicate through the mind while being in a red pond. His grandfather told him he had much more power than he could ever know and that it was up to him to discover it. Moments like this, Kyungsoo wished he had unraveled the secrets that hid in his body."Jongin." Kyungsoo whispered, bitterness dancing on his tongue. He was the only person the omega thought of. The only one that influenced his heart to cry. If only he hadn't been so stubborn during their relationship then maybe he wouldn't feel guilty that the only memory Jongin would remember of him would be pain. Life flashed before his eyes as he felt pain throbbing throughout his entire body. The omega screamed as fell into darkness, landing in a pond of liquid. He had been eaten by the Cumal. Kyungsoo could feel the sting traveling into his body as the stomach fluid burned him. He tried to move his right arm but was stuck in bewilderment as he realized his arm was gone, only to discover his left leg was gone also. "Let me out, asshole! I know you can hear me! I can't die like this!" Kyungsoo shouted in hopelessness. Was it really over?  / Jongin rushed into his loyalsman, Sehun room. He didn't care if the sky was dark if that the forest was crowded with Cumals, he needed his men. "Sehun!" He rocked the lad until his eyed opened from his sleep.Sehun frowned. "What is it, Jongin?" "Kyungsoo! Hes in the village near Lydia! We have to go there now.""How do you know that?"Jongin shook his head, helpless. "You're not going to believe me if i tell you. Just trust me."If the situation had been different, Sehun would have laughed in his Kings face. However, he had saw the brace man he had once looked up to. "I'll go get the rest of the loyalsman." "Be read in thirty minutes." Jongin and his loyalsman made their way to Kyungsoo. It had only been a few minutes since they left the kingdom and Jongins anxiety was rising. He wants to be strong for Kyungsoo; he had to. The alpha cowered in fear for far too long. He had let too many people down and he was now realizing that.Jongin cringed at how stupid he was not even an hour ago. He had to hear his lover begging for his protection for him to snap out of his coward behavior. His fear for the Cumals used to be stronger than his love for Kyungsoo; that broke his heart to admit such a thing. He didn't know that was even possible. However, at this moment, his love for his husband was stronger than it has ever been and he was ready to prove it. He looked at his men behind him: Sehun, Xiumin, Suho, and Yixing. Jongin allowed himself to smirk. He was going to fight the Cumals with his men by his side, willing to die for him. Jongin cursed himself once again for being so stupid. He was always brave. He always showed his men what it meant to be a leader and those giants decided to take it away from him. Jongin hoped he could make it up to him.He kicked his horse into a trot.Ich werde dich finden.Jongin gulped when he saw the first Cumal walking out of a forest. "Boys, there's one up ahead!"Xiumin frowned. "What's the plan." He raced his horse closer to Jongin, not a head of him of course."We go around it."Sehun frowned with the others. "Go around it? It'll follow us.""Trust me." Jongin commanded. His heart jumped when the Cumal noticed them but he pretended it didn't. He had to be strong.As the king and his loyalsman got closer the Cumal began to smile at them, nothing but viciousness in it. "Charge!" Jongin went between the legs of the Cumal, his team going on the side of the legs. He looked back to see his men were safe but the Cumal didn't ignore the bravery.Yixing followed. "It's following us!""I said keep moving!" Jongin screamed. He noticed two more Cumals in sight. "Do the same for them!" The king charged into the Cumal once again, his team following suit. Success was their new name. However, it could not be ignored that there was three Cumals behind them. "Jongin, what is the plan? I hate questioning you but how can this be disregarded? Our horses won't be able to run all night. Kyungsoo is miles away. You have to give us some options." Sehun had worried himself. But how could he not? They were basically on a suicide mission. At this point, Sehun was certain he would die. "In situations like this, you have no plan."Sehun felt himself redden. "What the hell does that mean? You think we can out run these things? Even if we turn wolf, we wouldn't be able to compete. We need a plan!""We're the first ones to do something as stupid as this. I'm willing to sacrifice myself for my husband. Are you willing to sacrifice yourself for humanity? All it takes is for one person to face the Cumals. You're saving our species if you do so. We can't try to figure out plans in moments like this, not all the time. You just have to go.""Jongin, they're getting closer!" Suho spoke for the first time.The king gritted his teeth when he turned to only see the Cumal not far behind them, just a few feet away. The king pulled out his sword from its pocket. He jumped in his horse's back, his posture struggled."Why are you standing on your horse?" Sehun voice was confused.Jongin ignored him. He surprised his men when he jumped onto Yixing's back, his leap being the highest the team had ever see. Jongin continued to leap, jumping into the air as high as he could. He didn't know how he came face to face with a giant but something told him it was Kyungsoo that helped him. Jongin pierced his sword into the red left eye, earning a retched scream from the Cumal. Jongin landed on the ground seconds later. He managed to get back into the air, stabbing the other eye. Had this been the power of the alpha? None of them knew but Jongin understood it was Kyungsoo's love they gave him the strength.The Cumal fell to the ground, making the other two clash over it. Jongin took advantage of this and ran back to his horse. His team looked at him in bewilderment but he disregarded it.
