Emma's POVI ditched the scissors almost as soon as I hit a busy street. By then, I had calmed down quite a bit, and I didn't even remember why I grabbed them in the first place. By the time I reached a small internet cafe, I had calmed down to the point that I could think clearly. I reviewed my sketchy plan. Tell the media? I didn't have enough evidence yet, and while I was sure I could fabricate some pretty convincing stuff, I was pretty sure Youngbae would still be able to crush my story. Report Youngbae to the police? Again, not enough evidence. I sat down in the corner of the cafe, and waited for the waitress to come and take my order. I ordered a coffee, black, with sugar. And that brings us to right now.I take out my phone, and check for any missed calls. Nothing from Youngbae, or anybody, besides that un-read text from Kevin. I open it.If it's your brother, tell him to leave you alone for me, k?I smile, and text him back.I gave him a knee to the balls for ya! That good?I put my phone down to accept the coffee from the waitress. To my surprise, she also hands me a handful of napkins."Your nose. It's bleeding." She says in Korean, pointing to her own nose."Oh, yeah, thank you." I say, handing her my money. She smiles and nods, before literally twirling away to the next table. I take a sip of my coffee, and start playing Temple Run. The little banner comes down, saying I got a text, and while I was distracted I ran into a tree. I sigh, and open the text. It's from Kevin.Alright girl! TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!You see, this is why I like Kevin. He and I always got in detention together when we were little, that's how we became friends. He doesn't care if I say horrible things about my family or life, and he won't try to comfort me and make me feel better. He'll agree with me, and we'll have a nice little bitching session. My mom never approved of him. She would never let him sleep over at our house, and only let me into his when something majorly bad was happening. Not that that stopped me from going to his house, I just never told her. She always said hanging around Kevin would just encourage me to do bad things. She would try to get me to hang out with kids that she approved of.Two of them, twins, actually weren't that bad, and I'm still good friends with them. Their names were Justin and Ian. But the rest of the "goody two-shoes", as Kevin called them, were just too good to be healthy. I always used to wonder if all of them were doing drugs behind their parents backs, because they way happier than a normal, sober person.I made sure to never hang out with Kevin and the twins at the same time. It was always either Kevin and his friends, or the twins. And my activities with each of them were very different. With the twins, it was movies, laser tag, chirades, and ping pong in their basement. With Kevin and his friends, it was racing on the schools roof, skateboarding in construction sites, shoot 'em up video games, and more recently, attending parties.Kevin sends me another text.Come on, gurl, the suspense is killing me!Then,Wait, no, open group text, and tell all of us!I do as he says, and start typing. So, Youngbae comes into my room, and yells at me for dissing Top. Apperently Top took it to heart and trashed his room. Youngbae suggested I pay for the damage to Top's room. I asked him how that made sense to him, he shoved me, I shoved back, and he said I was outta line. I asked if Top was capable of taking a hit, Youngbae shoves me again, and then - get this - he used the 'Older=more respect' argument! Is he really that stupid?! I say he can come up with a better argument than that, and that if Top cant handle an insult, he doesn't deserve no one's respect. Youngbae tries the same argument, except saying I should respect him, if not Top. I taunted him over him loosing control earlier, and tell him to run back to his mommy for help with his anger managment. Youngbae hits me in the nose, I got a bloody nose now. I give hit back, and he tries to shove me up against the wall. I grab onto his shoulders, and knee him in the nuts, and shove him away. I grabbed my wallet and phone, and for some reason a pair of scissors, and ran outta there. I'm currently in an internet cafe. One of Kevin's friends, Michael, sends me a text.He used the respect argument?! Even he has to know that that argument is the worst one ever!Eric responds. No, the worst argument ever is "I'm your parent, therefor you must do as I say"SO true!We all continue the conversation for about half an hour while I finish my coffee. When I'm done, I just randomly wander around, looking in a few stores that catch my eye, and occasionally joining in on the 'Is-zero-a-number' debate going on between my friends over text. It's when I'm in a small book store when I finally get something from Youngbae.Emma, please come home!I ignore him, and send a text to my friends.Youngbae wants me to come home! Ha! As if!Are you actually gonna go home? Why would I? I'm not going back until he apologizes.Well, where are you going to stay until he does?I have a feeling he'll apologize soon...Alright...Another text from Youngbae.Emma! Please! Come home! Please? Your mom is going to kill me....I roll my eyes. As if that little comment was going to sway me!And... I'm sorry. I'm sorry for trying to take your iPhone, I'm sorry for acting like nothing had happened this morning, I'm sorry for overreacting and giving you a bloody nose, I"M SORRY!Wow. Just wow. I never expected him to apologize for all that... I copy and paste the message and send it to my friends.Did your brother SERIOUSLY just say that?!Yeah, he apologized for all that?!Yes, he did...Well, what did you say?Didn't reply yet, but I'm gonna say 'I'm heading home now.'You're not apologizing?Nope. Later boys!Later!Bye!Hasta luego!I text Youngbae and tell him I'm heading home, then shove my phone in my pocket, and walk outside. I head in the direction I think I came in. And sure enough - there is a God! - I wind up back at the dorm after about twenty minutes of alternating between jogging and walking. I walk up the driveway. Just as I'm about to open the door, Daesung opens it. He doesn't say anything, and walks away as soon as he's opened it all the way.I imidiatly guess three things: They're gonna give me the silent treatment. They're mad. And I doubt I'm gonna be hearing anything nice when they do decide to talk.I walk right upstairs to my room, close the door, and return my phone to it's hiding place. I spend the rest of the night watching YouTube videos, until there's a knock at my door. I dread everything that I know is about to happen, but I'll get through it like I always do. Look ashamed, agree with everything they say, and get at least one good dis in there.I get up and open my door, allowing them to come in. They all enter, and everyone but Youngbae avoids any eye contact with me. I sit on my bed, put my elbows on my thighs, and hold my head in my hands."Yes?" I ask."Tomorrow, we'll discuss rules. Today, though..." Youngbae starts."Today, we're going to talk about the why's. Why are you angry?" Top finishes. What?
