“Come with me, Changhyun,” Changjo called.Changhyun obediently followed a few steps behind his creator. There was something different about this particular night. Changhyun could feel it in his quickened heartbeat and in the dull ache in his bones. His body wanted to shift. After Changjo had, he realized he too had permission to shift. It took no longer than a millisecond for Changhyun to match the elder’s form.“Nice,” Changjo praised the younger and Changhyun blushed under his fur at the compliment. “Are you comfortable in this form?”“Yes,” Changhyun nodded, feeling oddly shy alone with Changjo.Changjo began to walk in a random direction and Changhyun scurried to keep up. “There are some things I should teach you tonight while your senses are intensified. It will be easier, so follow me.”Changjo started out at a pace easy for Changhyun to keep up with. He then increased his speed through the woods until the two were practically flying between the trees. Changhyun felt like he was soaring, his paws barely touching the dirt before propelling him forward. His eyes caught every leaf, every sparkle of the air; and he realized just how powerful the full moon made them. He was sure Changjo and he were far outside any town limits by the time they slowed to a halt.“Ready?” Changjo questioned and Changhyun nodded. Changjo began his lesson with the younger sitting still and breathing deeply. Every scent floating through the air landed on Changhyun’s tongue and he could tell approximately where everything was located. This continued for a few hours with Changhyun tracking scents and finding paths that his human eyes would have never detected.Changjo watched patiently as Changhyun moved around with his guidance. It was an important part of being connected to the pack, learning from his mate. The first full moon was a special time and Changjo made sure to spend it personally with Changhyun.It wasn’t long before Changjo’s blood rushed faster through his veins despite the fact he was lying calmly and watching Changhyun. The feeling was lust, but from where he couldn’t tell.Changhyun walked up and collapsed right in front of Changjo’s nose and felt the air tremble around the elder’s body. “Are you okay?”Changjo rumbled low in his chest. Changhyun heard it immediately, backed away, and tried to appear as submissive as possible to avoid anger from the elder. This didn’t help Changjo to open his eyes to see Changhyun vulnerable in front of him. How he longed to make
