Darkness and Gravity I.

"I'm sorry," Bom cried out again. "I should've done something. I should've saved him." The group had settled down at the top floor of the tower in Headquarters and now sat around in a circle as they tried to gather themselves after the event that destroyed their home. Night had begun to fall and they had managed to bury their fellow comrades just outside in the training field; in time to make it back inside before the darkness completely overcame them and they couldn't see what they were doing. The air around them was heavy. "There was nothing you could've done, Bom," Min assured her as she looked at the older female with conviction, erasing any trace of a doubt she had of herself. "You can help people, not resurrect them. I don't doubt your abilities or your powers but he was already on the brink of death when we got to him. Like everyone else in the world, your powers are limited to even that. As it should be." Because of her healing abilities, Bom always felt a sense of responsibility when a life was lost, despite her not having any fault in the occurrence. Everyone had confidence in their abilities and powers; Strengths and weaknesses. But sometimes, things couldn't be help and death was an inevitable part of life they all had to face. As harsh as it may seemed, they had to continue living without regrets or feelings of misdirected guilt and self loathing. And it was Min's job as a leader to remind them all of this. Bom especially. It was reasons like this that made it clear to everyone why she was in fact the leader of the best team in the Division. Though Bom was the eldest, she was pure-hearted and naive in nature. That alone was reason enough why she wasn't considered leader, and she would be the first one to recognize this fact. Jiyong, though the second eldest in the group after Bom, had an introverted nature that made it difficult for him to express himself with words. At least when it came to dealing with things on an emotional level. Like how at the moment, despite everything that happened, everything he witnessed, he seemed almost robotic in his expression. His team members, Min especially, knew this wasn't the case. It was a defense mechanism he often resorted to when things became tough. Like everyone else, Jiyong was susceptible to the inevitable pain life brought on them, he just had his own way of coping. Because of this it was clear he wouldn't be able to talk people out of the darkness of their own wandering thoughts. Seungri, L and Zelo had similar personalities and so because of their positive and optimistic nature, didn't have the ability to handle things of such a magnitude. After all, Zelo was still relatively new to the squad and didn't know what it was like to lose a comrade let alone and entire facility full of people; Granted, none of them had ever had to experience losing an entire Division and have their Master, assassinated, so it was a new and shocking experience for everyone. Min knew that the best way to handle them was by letting them all cry it out and get it out of thejr system. Jia would often times help comfort others, but unlike Min, felt that she was only good for that. She couldn't make thoughts into words the way Min could, so being the shoulder to lean on was all she could do. Jia was a strong person, but shut herself off to others and Min knew that she just needed her space, while she helped others, to heal. It was the only way she could feel better. By not feeling so helpless and not seeing the people around her in pain. On the other hand, the biggest trouble in the group happened to be the same person who was the best at helping others. Min closed herself off the same way Jia did, but unlike Jia, didn't give herself time to cry or even feel anything. She was stubborn and would become numb, purposefully busying herself in order to not have to confront her fears and her sadness. The only person who could possibly help heal her wasn't there. "Suzy," Min whispered to herself as she looked out the window. Where are you? Despite everything that had happened, the most shocking to everyone was the Master referring to Taeyang as his son. Even in his final moments, the Master called out to the young alpha wolf and spoke the words he had probably longed to say after so many years. After that he died smiling.  Min, in all the years she had known the Master had only ever seen that smile once before; and it was during that one time he spoke about the son he had lost. He never went into specifics but after seeing that smile, such a sad and longing smile, Min knew never to bring up the topic ever again. And she never did. What were the odds that after all these years the two would meet again for one last time and that she would be the reason. One question continued to repeat itself in her mind: Why now? Why her and what did it all mean?    "Anything?" L called out over his shoulder as he shined his flashlight toward the direction Zelo was standing at. With Min's orders the two had gone to the first level floors to check and recheck whether or not anyone was still alive. This was the fifth time they had gone back to make sure. They didn't want to believe they were the only ones left now. "Nothing," Zelo said in frustration as he pushed a bunch of rubble out of his was. His expression then fell, his voice coming out pained as he spoke. "Is there really no one else alive?" L's expression darkened as he hid his eyes beneath his dark hair, his voice breaking slightly. "I'm afraid not." They allowed themselves to stand still in the silence, and really think over everything that had occurred. L especially felt guilty. He had been the last to see Suzy right before she went to see the Master. Min had given L specific orders to take care of her while she was away on a mission and now, seeing Min in the state that she was did something to his heart. A painful kind of feeling he had never felt before. He had failed, not only his leader, but his best friend. On the opposite side, Zelo was fighting back the urge to break down again. The RED was all he ever knew and like everyone else, the facility was home. He was so grateful that his team was alive. But what about everyone else? What about them? What about their families? They didn't deserve any of this. And for what? What was the reasoning behind it? What was their purpose? He never truly despised the demons of this world, having met kind hearted ones before. But now... he couldn't bring himself to stand the sight of them. Those dark thoughts made him feel guilty. What would the Master think? A tear fell slowly. Master. As the two stood quietly, lost in their own thoughts, an overpowering force slowly began to fill the room. An alarmingly powerful kind of moxie pressure building up around them, the sound of static overwhelming their senses. "Do you feel that?" Zelo cautiously asked, panic etched in his features as he looked over at L who mirrored his expression. L nodded. "It's coming from outside." Dropping everything, the two of them headed toward a massive hole that had been made during the attack in the northern wall facing the main courtyard.   A dark veil was cast on the night sky, and in the horizon, against the light of the moon, the silhouette of a large group could be spotted.  Simultaneously, L and Zelo both furrowed their brows to get a better look of where the force was coming from and upon realizing the source, widened their eyes in fear. "We need to get back to the others. Now."    ""My head," Taeyang groaned as he slowly sat up, rubbing the back of his head. It took him a moment as he let his eyes adjust to his surroundings. He had almost forgotten everything that had occurred just earlier that day. But as he slowly allowed his eyes to roam the new and unfamiliar room, he managed to recall everything. From being caught by a hunter, to being taken to their headquarters; To witnessing the aftermath of a massacre, to fighting Daevas and seeing.... He flinched at the memory: The one he truly wanted to forget the most. How long had it been? It's been 9 years since I last saw you. Hasn't it, old man? Nine years and this was how he would see him for the last time ever. It pained him to think about it. Moving around to find a comfortable position on the floor he had been placed on, Taeyang noticed that he couldn't hear the sound of chains anymore. In fact, he couldn't even feel them. He looked down and realized that now he was fully clothed, wearing a plain black muscle shirt with cut off sleeves. As he thoughts, he wasn't wearing the shackles anymore but instead now had black leather collar around his neck. "The hell?" He grumbled before he placed his hands around the lather strap and initiated trying to pull it off. But the more he continued pulling with all the strength he had, the more it resisted. "What the hell is this around my neck?" He yelled as he stomped up and attempted to tear it off again. Though grabbing the attention of everyone in the room, only the teal haired girl made an effort to step forward and explain as the others, who all of which were now wearing dark hooded coats, were sitting around a corner table in the back gathering and organizing their belongings before their departure. "Remember the shackles around your arms and legs?" Bom asked innocently as she pointed a finger up enthusiastically, ignoring the glare Taeyang was shooting her. "Well this is like that."  "A suppressor, except with a few alterations done by yours truly," Seungri boaste
