A/N - The next series of chapters will close off all the unfinished storylines of characters and will end with an epilogue. Sung-kyung woke early, it took a moment to remember that she was in her bed on the Woo Estate and not Yifeng’s island of torture. It felt like a lifetime ago already. Pushing back the covers she changed into her riding gear and called down to the stables. She wanted to take Ajumma out for a ride. As she skipped lightly down the stairs of the grand staircase, she saw the household staff already bringing the house to life. The sun was rushing up the south bank, over the stables and flooding through the floor to ceiling terrace doors. The feeling it brought to her at that moment could only be described as light and happy. Her heart swelled with hope for a bright future. The past was finally behind them. Yesterday had been crazy, returning after two months for her and Kris and Tao had been gone longer. The Estate staff thought their Master had come back from the dead. It was all happy times until Tao went to inspect the cellar - oops.Sung-kyung grinned as she remembered the shock on his face. “How many bottles of champagne did you drink?” “I was sad okay. I missed you guys so much!”
“Yah!” “We’ll buy more.” Kris had left them arguing. Walking across the dew-covered lawns, she was excited when she saw a stablehand dressing Ajumma for their ride, “Hey girl...remember me?” she pressed her forehead against the horses’ and breathed in Ajumma’s earthy scent. “I missed you. I missed this place. Heaven on earth.” she mounted the horse, “‘Come on, let’s stretch our legs.” When they rounded the first bend and were faced with the open fields of the Woo Estate, the yards upon yards of open green, Sung-kyung knew Ajumma was ready to open up, so was she.
