Learn To Enjoy Life a Lit (1/1)

Neither Bambam or Yugyeom are in my first class today, so I have classes with a bunch of strangers, who I never interact with. I sat in the corner of the classroom, slightly hidden from everyone's view. I leaned up against the wall, chewing my nails, and scribbling anything that came to mind on a scrap of paper, which I would stick into my notebook when I got home. Then two words spoken by the teacher caught my attention. 'Homework' and 'Partners'. I sat up straight, and dropped my pencil on the desk. I was officially listening."I have a list of who you will be partnered with up here, so if you would come up one by one and find out who your partner is," She pointed at the student in the first row. He stood up and smiled when he saw the name, heading over to one of his friends, I assumed. Then another went up and squealed when she saw that she was partnered with her best friend.I felt like sicking up that half slice of toast. Just the thought of talking and doing homework with someone I didn't know made me sad. I hadn't talked to anyone in this class before. I had no chance. Hopefully, either they'll do all the work, or I'll do all the work. And that's the best case scenario."Who's she?" Someone said.I looked up and a boy was frowning at the name in front of him. I shrunk into the wall and felt like dying. It was so embarrassing, he was talking about me. Even the teacher looked a little confused. I put up my hand, looking at the floor, like it was the most interesting thing in the world.I could hear his footsteps getting closer. I bit my lips and mentally slapped myself. Don't show your teeth, try smiling without that, I told myself. He sat down in the seat next to me and took his headphones out of one ear."Hello, I don't think we've met properly," He said. I looked up, still avoiding eye contact. I did recognise him though. He's one of the guys who are always sat at the front of the bus, laughing with his friends. I think I've seen Bambam with him at lunch once or twice too."You're on the same bus as me," I said bluntly. I could see that he was trying to remember me. And I could see that he failed."Oh.. Well, I'm Junior,""That's not your real name, is it?" I asked."No, it's.. uh..""You don't have to tell me,""It's Jinyoung," He said firmly. I nodded."So, when do you want to do the homework?" He asked me. I shrugged."You're not much of a talker! I think I can fix that," He laughed. His laugh was funny. I raised my eyebrows."Okaayy... meet me at lunch, and we'll talk about some ideas for the poster. Or I'll talk," He smiled. I nodded in conformation, even though I don't eat lunch. He chuckled and went back to his seat for the rest of the lesson.
