On Her Own (1/2)
She gave everything to a guy who changed his mind about her. She thought he loved her so much but, no she was wrong. At least, that's what she thought. When her dad found out about her, getting pregnant at a very young age, he demanded her to leave their home and never return.
"I told you before to never date that boy but you still did and for that, I want you out of this house! Out of my life and don't ever show yourself to me again!" her father said the moment he found out.
She was forced to exile in Yeonsu District in Incheon so she can raise her child quietly and properly on her own. She tried to reach out to her boyfriend but he didn't respond. At a very young age, she did her very best to live her life to the fullest while carrying her baby. Her bestfriend, Hana, is all that she got since she left Seoul. Hana lives in Seoul but she visits her every month. She promised herself that she will do everything to make her child grow well, even without a father. She did 3 jobs in a row so she can manage to have a life alone in the province and she did.
---
9 months later, she gave birth to her child with Hana and her boyfriend, Jongdae by her side. They're her family now. They are the witness of what she has gone thru. In Seoul, even in Incheon. She gave birth to a baby boy whom she named, Sehun. She was very proud of herself in being able to carry Sehun for several months and taking good care of him as a mother.Sehun was indeed born with laughter, raised with cheerful and humbleness for her mom tried everything to make him happy in every way that she knows.
----
7 years has passed, Sehun was being able to go to school just near their home. But Yoora noticed something. Sehun has a problem in speaking the letter S so she tried to make him say it properly but to no avail. He was indeed born with that and soon, Yoora didn't think it's going to be a problem anymore. For her, it's adorable.
"Mommy, why don't I have a father like the other kids in school?" Sehun asked Yoora once when they were off to his school.
"It's because you're a special boy, Sehun. You don't need a father because you're strong and brave enough. What did mommy tell you about being the only boy in my life?" Yoora said sitting to her son's level.
Sehun nodded innocently and Yoora gathered him in her arms for a tight motherly embrace. "Go now. You're going to be late. And don't go anywhere after your class, okay? Mommy will pick you up in your classroom." Yoora said standing up.
"Okay mommy." Sehun answered befor he reaches out his lips for a kiss and Yoora did kissed the pouting lips of her young boy.
Once Sehun got inside their classroom, Yoora made her way home. Waves of memories came flashing to her mind, and one of those was the time everybody in high school treated her so cruel but her boyfriend was not even there to protect her. She can barely understand now how she can go with her life without a husband for 7 years, since she got pregnant with Sehun. She loved Sehun so much. He's all that she have. He's the love of her life and she's willing to do everything for him but her mind's been circulating these days about Sehun asking questions of having a father and it's already bothering her a bit.
The next morning, it was Saturday. Yoora was washing the dishes and Sehun was playing on the living room when a knock was heard to their front door.
"Mommy someone's at the door!" Sehun yelled.
Yoora came to the door to see who it was and to her dismay, it was her boyfriend, Kim Jongin, the father of her child standing right outside her doorstep.
"Hana was right. I'll find you here." Jongin said, forming a curve of smile to Yoora but she just stood infront of him and glared.
"What are you doing here?" Yoora asked her most basic question.
"I came here to apologize, Yul. I know I've been a coward. I should've defended you 7 years ago. But please, believe me that I've searched for you. I wanted to call you but I can't find you anywhere." Jongin said, voice shaking.
Yoora heaved a deep sigh, shaking her head in process. "For 7 years, Jongin! For 7 years! I tried to reach out to you, harder than what you did to search for me! What would you expect?! I'll be happy to see you standing infront of me?! You have no idea how much pain and suffering that I've been through. So how dare you show yourself to me after all these years!" Yoora said, remembering those times she raised Sehun all alone.
They were both a sobbing mess when suddenly Sehun came and hug his mom from the waist.
"Mommy, who is he?" Sehun asked while staring at Jongin. He sat down at Sehun's level and smiled to the child.
Jongin greeted him with a smile but Sehun just kept eyeing him. Yoora was a crying mess but she wiped her tears away and carried Sehun in her arms. "Sehun~" She began, loud enough to make Jongin hear their son's name, heaving a heavy sigh before she continues. "He's your dad."
"I have a daddy?" Sehun said looking at Yoora with his doll eyes. Yoora nodded to him smiling and soon brought him down before she heads to the kitchen to finish her chores.
Sehun touched Jongin's face which made Jongin cry in happiness seeing his child recognize him after years of his absence. "Daddy.." Sehun said as he wipes his tears away in a child manner. Yoora was crying herself out in the kitchen thinking that what if Jongin had many children besides Sehun? She already told Sehun he has a father and she can't possibly tell him that his father had other children if ever there were.
After finishing her chores, Yoora came to the living room to see what Jongin and her son were doing. She saw them playing together and Sehun looks happy. She's right, she has a son and her son needs a father.
"Would your wife mind if you're still here at this moment? She might be worried." Yoora intterupted. She's totally aware that it's already late, that's why he asked him and she meant it.
"Would you mind?" Jongin answered.
"What?"
"You're my wife. That's why I'm asking if you mind if I stay here. You're asking, right? And I hope you're not worried."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Yoora said, skeptical, when something caught her attention by the corner of the living room. She knew she doesn't place bags and luggages on the living room and that's when she realized that Jongin was already packed. To stay with her and their child.
Noticing Yoora's confused expression, Jongin asked. "Seriously? Whose wife are you talking abt?"
"Don't tell me you didn't have any wives or children in seven years." Yoora said preparing herself if ever Jongin would admit that he had.
"I didn't." Jongin scoffed.
She was frozen for a minute.
"Can I talk to you in private?" Yoora said, frowning. Every little thing that he said was confusing her.
