Fireworks are already noising around outside your house when you woke up that night. A few minutes more, and it will be another new year.  few minutes more, and you'll be certain that your boyfriend Oh Sehun would be just visiting you next year.You sighed as you checked your cell phone. No text messages nor calls came from him. You already expected it, but still you're sad. He might be really busy with his work that he rarely spend time with you.You can still remember how late he came to your Christmas celebration. He was still panting at that time. He then left a few hours the celebration."Noona, happy new year!" you heard your cousin barge into your room and greet you with a big smile on his face."Yah, namdongsaeng! Happy new year to you, too!" you greeted back with a smile in your face.He walked towards your bed and sat on it. "You look sad, Noona. Why?""Oh, I don't. I just woke up," you lied then rubbed your eyes to prove what you said.He went nearer to you. "Is it because of Sehun hyung?""Ofcourse not!" you said before chuckling.He pouted. "He's coming, right, noona?""Uh... no. I already told you that he's not sure if he'll come, right?” you said. Looks like someone misses Sehun as much as you do.But then, you heard him murmur, “Bathezedhilkam...”“Huh?” you asked for you couldn’t make out the words he’s murmuring.  It’s as if he’s saying some ritual prayers or what.“Uh... nothing, noona,” he said as he grabbed you hand. “Come, noona! Let’s go to the living room!”***The moment your foot stepped the living room, the loud sound of Karaoke and horns being blowed greeted your ear, causing you to squint your eyes rather than to cover your ears.“WAAAHHH!! IT’S SO NOISY, NOONA!!” your little cousin shouted through the noise. Somehow, it seemed like all of your relatives came to celebrate new year with your family.You looked down on him. He’s covering his ears while his eyes were wide shut. He looked as if he’s watching a horror movie and he doesn’t want to see or hear it.You nodded as a response to what he said. “How about we go outside to escape the noise?” you suggested.He uncovered his ears and looked up onto you. His face is lighted up, as if he heard the most beautiful sentence from you.But then, that happy face turned into a pouting one, indicating sadness. “I’m sorry if I can’t go with you, noona.”You nodded, and in that instant moment, he ran towards his mother in the living room, leaving you. He waved to you as he sat on his mother’s lap. You smiled at him before turning your back to go to the exit door in the kitchen. You ended up in the backyard. There, you saw some beautiful fireworks lighting up the sky.You sat in the ground to enjoy the fireworks in the sky. But then, after a few minutes, you scratched the back of your head as soon as you remembered that you left your cell phone in your bedbroom. Oh well, there’s still no text messages or calls that would come from Sehun anyway. And this time, you are already certain that he won’t be coming to celebrate new year with you. This thought made you feel sad. ***Later, you heard your family members shout, “10! 9! 8! 7! 6!...”“...5, 4, 3,” you joined them silently. “...2...”“...1!” suddenly, a shout behind made you froze in your place. This couldn’t be... he said he might not come...Then in that instant moment, fireworks and horns being blown became nosier as ever.But your shock at his presence kept you silent.“Happy new year!!” he shouted as he sat beside you.You looked at him, “Sehun...”He gave you a horn. “Happy New Year, Jagiya!!”Tears flowed from your eyes. He’s in time. He’s not late this time.
