(a/n: this is after Taemin and Kai reconciled in chapter 1 ^^) Kai's POV"So, have you told your parents about this?" I asked straightening myself in the dance room after the hard laugh. Taemin chuckled at my question, and I mentally facepalmed because that was a pretty obvious question."Of course. I started living with my future groupmate already. How could I not tell them?" Taemin grinned. I smiled sheepishly knowing that I was so silly just now. Then I remembered something."Hey, are those 'schoolmate' of yours still bullies you?" I asked. Taemin's face darkened and I was taken aback. Then his face cheered up again suddenly.
"No, of course not. You don't have to worry," Taemin said cheerfully. That expression just now.. I know he is hiding something. I know.I stared at him continuously and he shrugged.
"What? I told you they don't bully me anymore," Taemin said looking straight into my eyes. I shook my head in disbelief. Anyone would be fooled by his remark, but I won't. Whatever, I'll let it go for this time. It's no use pushing him into telling me the truth, he would just deny it forever. ==== "Uhmm, hello? Earth to Jongin? Helloooo?" a voice called startling me. I blinked my eyes in surprise. It was Wufan hyung. Felt weird calling him hyung while he's Chinese. He stared at me raising his eyebrows, and I frowned.
"What, hyung?" I asked, a bit irritated because he interrupted my daydream. His face changed into a more irritated one than mine.
"What, you asked? I was talking to you and you didn't hear me?" Wufan hyung asked back. I shrugged. Well, it was rude indeed.
"What were you thinking?" Wufan hyung asked again. God, how is his Korean so good when he just entered the company this year?
"Nothing much," I answered lazily. "Fine, I will talk to you later," Wufan hyung said as he got up and left me alone in the practice room.I glanced at the clock hanging at the wall. 7PM. Taemin said he got a test tomorrow so he's staying at school until 8PM tonight. I might as well go to his school.I got up and quickly changed my clothes to go fetch Taemin. If I stayed here I would probably not concentrate anyway. He would be shocked to see me picking him up, but whatever I will go and nobody can stop me.I went out of SM building and walked my way to Taemin's school. The distance from SM to his school was quite far, so I took a bus. In the bus, I fell asleep for about... 5 minutes? I got off immediately when I see Taemin's school is near.I tucked my hands inside my pants pocket because it was quite cold. I looked around to find Taemin but I couldn't. Then I saw his small body. My face brighten and I waved my hands, but I stopped when I saw a few of his 'friends' surrounded him. Taemin's POVI was going to go to SM for another round of practice after school, when these guys suddenly passed by."Oh look, it's the Taemin," one of them said chuckling.
"Yeah, SM trainee Lee Taemin," another said. The both of them high-fived and laughed together. I pushed my anger inside and just glared at them. They noticed it and they moved closer to me."What's with those eyes? You think you're so awesome just because you're an SM trainee, huh?" one of them said. I don't even know his name, what is his problem?I could only clench my fist because I know I must not cause problem for future purposes. Then he grabbed my hair and pushed it until I hit the wall behind me. I closed my eyes to hold me from hitting him back.
"Ahahaha, the pretty boy Taemin can't do anything, huh?" he said. I clenched my fist harder. Suddenly he stopped moving. I opened my eyes slowly.It was Jongin. He grabbed the guy's hand. I widened my eyes at him. What did he-when did he come? What is he doing?Jongin squeezed the guy's hand and the guy whined. He struggled to get his hand out of Jongin's."Who are you?!" the guy asked. Jongin glared at him.
"I'm his friend, you dumbass," Jongin said. The guy looked offended and he took a step forward. Jongin moved foward too, as if he's ready to fight. I immediately grabbed his hand and dragged him away."Hey, Taemin?!" Jongin struggled, but I didn't let go. He obeyed and followed me along."Coward!" the guy shouted from our back. Jongin turned around and he wanted to go back but I held him."Enough. Know your place," I said warning him. Jongin hesitated, but he glared one last time to the guy and followed me again. Kai's POVI feel so angry now. Why did Taemin stop me? And those guys. I really want to beat those pathetic guys.Taemin stopped walking once we arrived at the bus stop. He let go of my hand and turned around to me, folding his hands."What are you doing?" he asked. I imitated him and fold my hands too.
"Well, why did you stop me? And those guys still bullies you after all! Why didn't you tell me?" I asked back, half-yelling."Because I know you will react this way!" Taemin answered, yelling too. "Please, please know our place, Jongin. We are trainees. We can't stain SM's name."I scoffed and look away.
"It's already stained anyway," I whispered. Taemin chuckled and I grinned."That's not what I mean. Anyway, wouldn't Moonkyu be sad if you got kicked out of SM just because of this?" Taemin asked. Moonkyu is our best friend. Well, he would be lonely without Taemin now, and he would probably be very lonely without me later. I shrugged and nodded.Taemin smiled and patted my shoulder.
"Good. By the way, thank you for picking me up," Taemin said. I smirked and punched his shoulder. Then he put his arms around my shoulder. "You are the best, really."I cringed hearing that and I immediately took a few steps from Taemin.
"Don't touch me! You're so cheesy!" I said teasing him. Taemin frowned and he grinned. He moved closer to me again and I ran away."Jongin! You can run but you can't hide!" Taemin shouted from my back.I ran away as fast as I can. We laughed because we just made another memory of our friendship-no. Our brotherhood. Finally, 3rd oneshot!
