Meant to be (1/1)
BORN HALLYU A FanFiction by Stephanie M. Izquierdo Fragment 126: Meant to be Kyuhyun ignored Heechul’s shouts about him being a weakling and made his way to the elevator. They had been drinking, along with Sungmin and Changmin, since they got back and his hyung was obviously out of his senses already. But Kyu was tired and wanted nothing more than to go to bed and have a long, nice sleep. It seemed plausible since the hotel was rather quiet at this hour. He guessed everyone else was too tired from the concert to be strolling around. He only encountered a foreigner waiting for the elevator and even allowed him to get in first; always polite.Tsk. Figures, he mutters mentally when he saw Mia stepped into the elevator on the first floor. She didn’t even regard his presence and stood close to the wall, apparently too tired to notice her surroundings or the foreigner checking her out like she was some piece of meat. He wondered if she had been drinking as well but then remembered she had stuck all day with Key and Siwon’s coordinator; so more than drinking they had been probably gossiping till these late hours. The bell of the elevator announced the arrival to the fourth floor but no one got in and the three of them remained inside. Kyu narrowed his eyes at Mia’s back. Was she really drunk and had possibly fallen asleep in that corner?Wait a moment, he told himself. The girls were all staying in the ninth floor. He looked at the numbers and, effectively, the button to the ninth floor was still lit up.Kyuhyun looked slightly at the foreigner who eyed him from the corner of his eyes and then set them back on Mia, an evil lopsided grin playing on his face.Kyu straightened up, his body and nerves fully awake now. There were a million things going through his mind but he couldn’t concentrate on a single one of them. The box rode quietly until it reached the girls’ floor. Kyuhyun waited for the door to open with another ting! His feet heavy against the marble floor, his hands fidgeting uncontrollably and his jaw clenched.Mia dragged her feet out, letting a sigh escape. The man took a step toward the exit and that was when Kyu launched himself forward. The foreigner choked, halting in his spot.“Op. Sorry,” Kyuhyun chirped, playing innocent but hitting the close-doors button continuously until it was the two of them again, the elevator going all the way to the eleventh floor and then back down. Mia opened the door and jumped back as he sneaked in as quickly as a bullet, pushing the door close and making sure to put the lock. She stared at him with wide eyes, wondering if she should fear for her life.Leeteuk noticed and opened his mouth, ashamed of himself. “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry,” he laughed, amused by her shocked expression.Mia placed her hand in her heart; it was racing like a maniac. Leeteuk squeezed one of her shoulders, trying to comfort her.“I brought you something, but I didn’t want anyone to see me coming in,” he explained.Mia noticed then the bag in his hand. She nodded, letting him know she was fine now.Leeteuk smiled, feeling nervous all of a sudden. He gathered some courage, breathing in
