The halls were decorated from top to bottem, patches of maroon red plastered against the walls in forms of banners, posters and balloons. The Lacrosse team had just won their second game of the season, and as always, the school did their best to show off how proud they were. Wonyoung tightened her grip on Heejin's hand. The two were trying their best to wiggle their way out of the busy halls. It was nothing surprising to the pair. They squeeze their way past and make their way down the hall. Wonyoung had seen no sign of Yujin, and the girl had not spoken to her since their arguement last Friday night. There was no denying that the younger girl felt worried, even Heejin sensed it. It had taken a toll on the girl, and she couldn't seem to sit still; hence, the older girl took the courage to spend the weekend with her. She didn't want Wonyoung to feel so on edge. Yet, as Wonyoung stepped in front of the classroom door, Heejin put her on halt and turned her around so she was facing her, "Will you be ok? Wonyoung knew that denying it wouldn't do her any good, so she shook her head, "No, I don't think I will be for a while..." She uttered quietly. Heejin rubs Wonyoung's shoulder and nods, "I understand. That's fine as long as you take care of yourself. That's what's important." She cups her face gently and gives her a warm smile, "If you feel like you can't get through the rest of the day let me know. I'll be right next door," She explains, pointing to the room on her left. "We don't have training today so I'll be in my Modern History class that I've barely been in since the start of the semester." Wonyoung chuckles lightly. "Don't push yourself too hard. I can always take you home if you need too. Or we could go on an adventure," Heejin smirks. "No one needs to know. But it's also up to you she says. But class is starting, you should head in." She gestures.Without another word, Wonyoung turns away and walks into class, eyes fixated towards the floor, avoiding eye contact with the rest of her friends. The girl was always extremely excited to learn something new in this class, but today was seemingly different. Not even the gifts could cheer her up. But when she takes her seat and drops her things onto the table, she realises she's the only one without a gift. She parts her lips slowly and her eyes widen, "There's no gift." She says. "Does that mean..." Hyejoo makes her presence known and kneels down beside Wonyoung's desk, "Yujin's your manito." She chuckles. "I had a hunch but then I saw her slip of paper. It had Jihan's name on it so I thought I was wrong..." Wonyoung answers. Hyejoo knocks on the table, "Jihan? She's not even in our class, Wonyoung." The girl grips the edge of her seat and chuckles, "How did I even miss that?" It seemed that the girl was starting to feel a little better, but that didn't mean she was longer worried. She still was, and quite a lot at that. The girl was nowhere to be seen and she had not heard for her all weekend. It was unlike her.Yet, her recent discovery, or her so called, evidence of her being Yujin's manito all came full circle. But did this mean that Heejin was right? That her whole relationship with Jihan was a ploy, and her true feelings were for her. If anything, the gifts she was given as of late all made sense. She stood up abruptly and looked down at Hyejoo, "I need to go find her..." Without another word, the girl turned her back on her friends and hurriedly made her way out as she grabbed all her belongings. Next door, the class was loud and rowdy - no teacher. She steps inside and scans the room, by the far right of the room, sat Heejin. Head hanging low as she scribbled in her notebook. She smiled warmly and made her way towards the girl. She was wearing one of Wonyoung's hoodies that she borrowed when she slept over. "Jeon Heejin!" The latter lifts her head softly and removes her specs slowly, "Wonyoung? What are you doing, here?" She chuckled. "Are you not feeli-" Wonyoung pulls the girl up on her feet and whispers in her ear, "Let's go on that adventure you were talking about."Heejin smirks, "I honeslty never thought of you as the spontaneous type."The tall girl shrugs, "I was also wondering if we could go check up on Yujin too. I'm really worried..." Heejin intertwines her fingers with Wonyoung and smiles endearingly, "Anything for you, loser." Wonyoung rolls her eyes before pressing a soft kiss on Heejin's cheek, "Don't think of that as anything more or I'll bite you!" Heejin leads her out of the room and chuckles, "I'd rather you not bite me, and, you don't have to tell me that. I know where I stand now." The young girl smiles warmly. She was really glad that the latter understood Wonyoung's wishes. Despite her feelings, Heejin didn't dare change. She was still the dorky Jeon Heejin she had to come to know and love, and the last two days together really proved how Heejin was in her life for the long haul, for the better or the worse. As long as Wonyoung was by her side, that's all she could ever wish for, and Wonyoung felt the very same. Maybe they're soulmates - to exist in a world where they are truly needed to aid each other in life no matter what happens. Without each other, they would only crumble down like broken bridges and torn down buildings. But they had each other, just like they did in this very moment. Heejin loved Wonyoung, more than she ever expected, maybe she was still wishing for a shot, or maybe she was just wishing for things to unfold. Either way, the two made their way down the empty halls, hand in hand, ready for an unexpected adventure waiting before them. All Heejin wanted was for her to happy, forever and always.
