The Confession (1/1)

"Jun Su-ah! Jun Su-ah! Stop!" Jae Joong stumbled from chair to chair to follow Jun Su. If Jun Su makes a scene, his whole scholarship's over and done for. And he be'll deported back to Korea without achieving anything! But Jun Su was already across the field, talking to one of the baseball players, obviously asking for directions. His foster brother was not someone to forget easily. Especially people he believes had wronged him in some way. And Yun Ho sure was in trouble. "Jun Su-ah! Waiii--" Someone covered his mouth and held his waist tightly from behind. He tried to struggle but the owner of the strong pair of arms won't let him. He felt himself being dragged onto an empty locker room. Then his abductor placed him gently onto the changing bench."Yun Ho?" He sighed. In relief or in impatience, he wasn't sure. "What do you want?" He asked in flat tone."I need you to listen to me. . .Please?" He clasped his hands together in front of his chest, begging.Jae Joong held a peace sign. "Two minutes.""Thanks! I. . .err. . .I was thinking. . .I was very rude to you. . .I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to--""Is that all? Okay. I have to go." He scampered from his seat. He can't bear to have Yun Ho in this close proximity. And he still had to look for a raging Jun Su."Wait! I still have to tell you something!" Yun Ho was almost in panic. He placed himself near the door. He knew that if Jae Joong step out of the locker room then he will lose this chance forever."Then tell me quick!" He retorted, annoyed."I just knew that. . .""What? Do I have to put up with you so that you have someone to tell about your new discoveries?" Jae Joong was incredulous. He wanted to hit Yun Ho for being so damn insensitive."I just knew that I'm gay." Yun Ho repeated like he didn't say anything."So? What has it got to do with--what?""Jae Joong-ah, look, I took a Sabathical of two weeks. . .I was telling myself the whole time that I can't like you because you're a boy and I thought I was okay so I came back. I was confident. . .until I saw you this morning." His head hung low, obviously not used to confessing his own feelings. Jae Joong bit his lip to fight the urge to smile."If you want to thank me because of the new you, don't mention it." He shrugged nonchalantly."No! It's not that.""Get straight to the point, Yun Ho Jung."Yun Ho took a deep breath. "Would you go out with me?" Jae Joong was disappointed that he didn't hear what he wanted to. He decided to play with him a bit to punish him for running away from him like he was a leper."It's not as if I'm gay too." He struggled to put up a straight face. He pushed him away and Yun Ho didn't protest. Jae Joong's face fell as he stepped out of the locker room completely. He immediately saw Jun Su at the other end of the hallway."Jae Joong-ah!" He stopped in his tracks when he heard Yun Ho's voice, as well as Jun Su and the other students in the hallway. "I love you and I'm sure to make you gay in no time! Just trust me!"**************Good news: Yun Ho and Jae Joong got together since then.Bad news: Both were expelled from Dalton High.Good news: Yun Ho's parents liked Jae Joong for their son even if he's a boy.Bad news: The notice of deportation for Jae Joong came too soon and he was ordered to pack his bags immediately to return to Korea.Good news: Jun Su promised his Hyung that he will put up with Yun Ho and will not plot his death any soon.Bad news: The nuns who raised Jae Joong in the Chungnam orphanage were utterly disappointed.Good news: Jun Su's parents adopted Jae Joong legally so he can stay in the US and continue his studies.Yun Ho and Jae Joong lived happily ever after. NOT.****************************************************************************Back to the present. . ."Sorry guys I'm late!" Yoo Chun flashed both of them a smile worthy of a toothpaste commercial before giving Jun Su a peck on the cheek. "And wow, a VIP room. I'm impressed!""Shut up, Chun. You're just jealous we chose to dine here and not in Bisque." Jun Su grinned. Yoo Chun's a chef-restaurateur and owns a chain of retaurants all over Manhattan."Well, I actually came here for bench marking and not to join you for dinner." He winked at Jae Joong. It was a good opportunity to level the playing field a bit, Yoo Chun thought. 21 Club's one of the hippest restaurants in the metro and reservation extends up to a year with patrons of who's who in the New York high society. And he wanted to know what makes it a hit."Get another table then." Jun Su challenged and Jae Joong shook his head. He's used to their perpetual banter. Yoo Chun laughed out loud before kissing Jun Su on the lips for a split second."I was just kidding!" Jun Su nudged Yoo Chun and both sat up straight."No, no! Don't mind me." He waved off the protests from Jun Su. "I'm okay.""Are you really, Hyung?" Yoo Chun asked sincerely. Jae Joong sighed before he nodded."To tell you the truth, I was expecting it to happen sooner or later. It's just that it happened sooner." He let out an empty laughter. "By the rate our relationship was going, even an amoeba can tell we wouldn't last that long anymore.""Is there anything that you're not telling me, Hyung?" Jun Su looked sullen. It pissed him that he wasn't able to do something to help Jae Joong save something that was important to him."There's always something a person keeps to himself, Su-ah." Yoo Chun said gently to pacify his boyfriend. "That's what keeps a person human.""Before Jae Joong or Jun Su could say anything, a stunning woman in her foties entered the room. "JJ! It's good to see you!" She hugged Jae Joong and gave him a beso."Hi, Dolly! You're looking good." He smiled and shot Jun Su a wary glance."Thank you. You're so kind. And who are these gentlemen?""Oh, these are Xiah, my brother and his boyfriend, Micky." He thought it wouldn't be nice to tell Dolly Berns Micky was indeed Yoo Chun Park, owner of a major competitor."It's nice meeting you both. I was told JJ's here and I thought I have to see him. I owe this guy a lot for putting up a launching party for 21 that Big Apple won't forget in years." She beamed and snaked an arm around Jae Joong and the latter almost winced. "Everything's on the house, enjoy!" She hugged Jae Joong once more and left."So there really IS something you're not telling me about." Jun Su stated firmly and Jae Joong lowered his head in defeat.
