Chapter 11: Spending the (1/2)
IU walked towards front of her house and the typhoon was quickly rising, "J-Jonghyun, shii! Why did you walk me all the way home?!" IU panicked as she saw him drenched. "What does it matter? You're home now, quickly go inside!" Jonghyun lectured and was about to run out, IU quickly snatched his arm, "Wait Jonghyun shii! You can't go out in this rain! You're gonna die out in the cold!" IU frowned.Jonghyun rolled his eyes and pulled away, "Hey, I'm no sissy, I can handle a little of a bad weather." IU gave him a look
that didn't fall for his excuse, "Jonghyun shii! Please come in! At least till the weather get's better!" IU yelled as the wind of the tphoon became worse.
---------------------------------"Where the heck is she!? I've been calling her number nonstop and she still hasn't answered me!" IU's father frowned as he kept dialing on the house phone, her mother was sitting nervously on the couch, wondering where IU could possibly be. "I'm sure she's okay, she's a grown girl." "Which is why I'm scared! Now that IU is grown up, men tend to be.... more excited!"The sound of the front door opened and quickly shut. IU's parent's ears perked up and quickly ran to the front door. They peaked and saw IU drenched with Jonghyun with her and his clothes also drenched. Her father's eyes widened and her mom's face grew a wide smile from seeing Jonghyun's handsome face."Ji Eun!" Her father yelled and walked to the front door, IU turned around, "A-Appa! You're still awake!?" IU panicked, her father's attention was more onto Jonghyun's. "Is this the friend that you were talking about?" IU's dad reffered to Jonghyun, "Anneyeongsayo, I'm Kim jonghyun." Jonghyun bowed which made IU's mother smile more.
Her mother quickly entered in the picture, "You two are both drenched! You need to change into something!"
Her mother panicked, "Uh.... I'm sorry to intrude you guys, but I plan to walk home after the weather cools down." Jonghyun informed politely,"Nonsense boy! The weather is going to be like this the whole night! You need to quickly take a shower and change into something!" Her mom opposed and took off both their wet bagpacks. "U-Umma....." IU stuttered,"You are staying here for the night and that's final, your parent's probably wouldn't want a handsome boy like
you to be walking home in the cold weather! You may sleep in the guest's bedroom, It's next to the living room!" IU's father gave her a bewildered expression and looked right at Jonghyun whick made the atmosphere thick and tense. "Well then! Why is everyone quiet? Jonghyun take a shower in the guest bathroom, I'll have my husband lay clothes for you and IU you too!" Her mother lectured as she was preparing a meal for them.-------------------------------------------IU came out of her bedroom ad wore her regualr pj's which was regular T shirt and basketball shorts.
She walked downstairs and saw Jonghyun come out of the bathroom at the same time, wearing her father's
sweats."Jonghyun shii, do my father's clothes fit on you comfortably?" IU asked as she approached him.
Jonghyun turned to IU, "They fit okay..... I don't think your dad likes me that much...""Well he doesn't like boys who color their hair and walk me home in the middle of the night." IU pointed out.
Jonghyun looked at his hair and looked back at IU, "Oh.....""Haha, don't worry about it! Anyway! Come to the kitchen! My mom prepared a meal for us!" IU said happily as
she grabbed his hand walked with him to the kitchen. Once the two arrived the kitchen, her mother smiled and placed the dub boki and kimchii onto the table."Ji Eun and Jonghyun, I made dub boki and kimchii for a midnight meal." Her mother said.
"Ah, Kamsahmidah Umma!" IU smiled and sat down with Jonghyun, "Y-You didn't have to...."
Jonghyun said. "Nonsense, you walked my daughter home in the middle of a hectic typhoon!
let me at least show my grattitude." Her mom smiled which made Jonghyun suddenly freeze.He caught a glimpse of his own mother but shook it off knowing it was just IU's mom. "Kamsahmidah Miss. Lee." Jonghyun bowed, "Aw! You're so adorable child! Eat up!" Her mom grinned and walked out of the kitchen,
"Let's eat!" IU announced and ate the first dub bokki. Jonghyun stared at the plate of warm duboki, kimchii, and
ice green tea. "What's wrong Jonghyun? You don't like Dub bok ki?" IU asked as she was chewing the rice cake.
Jonghyun shook his head, "No.... your parent's are just..... Very kind." "Well duh! All parents act like this! Now eat up before I eat everything." IU laughed and slurpped on the dub bok ki loudly. Jonghyun looked at IU and secretly smiled as she ate. *No wonder IU is so nice, Her family is so caring and gentle to her* Jonghyun thought as he was watching her eat. IU was gobbling everything one by one, "Hey, leave me some." Jonghyun scolded and chewed the dub bok ki., IU stared at him as he ate.
