Kris. (1/1)

CHAPTER 14MIRAE’S POV:That was awkward as fuck. Kris somehow snuck into the hotel and into our room and was now sitting on the bed facing me and Tiffany. He was telling us the details of what happened that night. For him to be able to remember all these little details, he must have a really high tolerance for alcohol. Almost scarily high. Even though Tiffany seemed to be shocked at what she was hearing, she couldn’t help but giggle every now and then. I would only glare at her. They would exchange each other looks and I know that this is not my place. I should just leave these two be. Who knows what’ll happen if I leave them alone.I started listening closely to what Kris was saying. The more he said, the less convinced I became that he was actually drunk at that time. I don’t care how good a drinker you are, you just can’t be this good. But anyway, thinking this way won’t get me anywhere, at least nowhere good. You can call this mature story-telling time. Or more accurately, explicit story-telling time. Kris took his time, spelling out each word for us to grasp and giving it enough time to sink in. His cold, dark eyes were staring into our souls or mine at least. Every time he would look me in the eye, my blood becomes ice cold. It gets chilly. I don’t recall feeling this way towards him ever. He was just there telling his story for what I assume was hours not moving single muscle other than his lips. Fragile looking lips. His earings were badass and his jawline was sharp and sexy. Yeah, sexy. His dark eyes were my favorite part about his face. They suit him perfectly especially with his thick eyebrows. His overlook would give the impression that he is the rebellious kind but if stare intently at his beautiful face you’ll see the little angel that –HOLD UP, MIRAE. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING. STOP STOP STOP.  KRIS’ POV:I didn’t think telling them what happened would turn out to be this easy. I wasn’t nervous whatsoever and was rather comfortable. The two ladies were sitting on the bed across from the bed I was sitting on in their hotel room. It was warm, poorly lit and had a cozy feel to it. Tiffany’s way of looking at me gave the impression that she was excited to hear the story. Mirae, however, didn’t seem like she wanted to listen to the story in the first place, but that didn’t keep me from telling my story.I started telling them about that night. I started at where Tiffany’s memory went blank and that is way earlier than Mirae’s. Tough girl. She handled drinking considerably well.My story began when we had a round of drinks right before everyone separated at the club. Three men were hitting on Tiffany in French, but she was too busy to even notice. I know this because Henry, a friend of mine back in Canada, taught me some pick up lines in French. They sounded somewhat familiar. One of them said, “Salut bombe atomique,” which is easily translated to, “Hey atomic bomb.” Of course, in English, it sounds cheesy as hell but it’s of like saying, “Hey sexy.” Moving on, I started getting annoyed so I grabbed Tiffany and took to those rooms at the back. One was empty, luckily. What was unfortunate though was all the sticky semen that was left over from whoever screwed around here. It was gross but who cared at that time.Tiffany gave me a disgusted face, but Mirae remained expressionless, motionless. I don’t even know if she was actually listening. I kept quiet for a second and then she looked at me. Our met for less than a fraction of a second and she turned away quickly. It may be my eyes or mind but I think she was blushing.Tiffany urged me to go on, excited as ever.I continued on telling them what happened, but not in details. Tiffany frowned.“Don’t worry, I’ll tell you about all the goodies later,” I told her. I smirked. I didn’t mean to, but it just comes involuntarily and she completely flushed.Anyways, I skipped to the part where Mirae and Kai came. I was about to tell them how Kai and I were always switching, but Mirae interjected.“You don’t need to talk about this part,” She tensed and stiffened.“Mirae, relax. If you’re worried about me being jealous or mad then you don’t need to worry. I know we were all pretty fucked up that night.” Tiffany told her and held her hand.Mirae kept silent. I know for sure that that wasn’t what she had in mind. It more than worrying about her friendship with Tiffany. Me, maybe? But what exactly?“Shall I go on?” I asked them. I wanted to change the topic. Mirae only seemed to get more and more nervous. They nodded and I continued.Skipping everything that happened, I started talking about what we did once we all pulled ourselves together enough to get our clothes back on.Once again, Mirae interjected.“I’ve got a question; were the rooms by any chance open for everyone to see?”  Her eyes slowly widened as she asked.I hesitated to tell the truth for a second. I didn’t know what her reaction would be if I told that they were. She might start throwing tantrums and I don’t handle these kinds of things well. But heck, I bet she already knows the answer to that, but she’s just in denial.“Were they?” She stressed.“Yes, yes they were.” I answered as casually as I could. She didn’t react to my answer in any way.So after we dressed up, we left the club. As simple as that. Of course there was no way in hell that we would know our way back. Kai and I were the only two who had an ounce of soberness and we decided to split into twos. That way, the odds of finding the hotel is greater and we’d avoid being caught when we’re in smaller group. Naturally, Tiffany and I left together, Mirae with Kai, and Chanyeol with Baekhyun. We walked, or more accurately, I walked and dragged Tiffany along with me. We all went in different directions which was stupid, I admit, but we had no mind at the time to think that much.Everyone disappeared from our view, and we kept walking. The streets were quiet and empty. You could see the occasional prostitute at a dark corner of a street, a thug or men and women in suits that have been working late. Everyone seemed lifeless. No one seemed happy.I tried to smile myself, but my head felt heavy and muscles weak.We walked for what seemed like hours till I saw someone who looked decent enough to tell us our way back to the hotel. Once we arrived, I checked to see if any of the teachers were awake and roaming around the lobby. None were, so we walked in normally. My hotel wasn’t here, but I dropped off Tiffany. Mirae, you weren’t there when I took Tiffany to the room so I went up to check on Kai and the others but no one had arrived yet. I went back to Tiffany’s room, she was sound asleep. Half an hour later I decided to check again. Baekhyun and Chanyeol were opening their room’s door when I came out of the elevator, but you and Kai were still not here. Once I made sure the guys were in okay, I went back down again to check on Tiffany. That’s when I saw you in the room, you just arrived. I asked you if Kai was upstairs and you said that he came here to drop you off and left. I told you I was leaving and that I’ll be heading back to the hotel, but you insisted I stay. You wanted to save me the trouble. The more I said no, the more stubborn you became.Tiffany giggled at that and looked at Mirae who was still tense.Anyways, I gave up and agreed. But I yet again went upstairs to check on Kai before I crashed in. He still wasn’t there which was odd. He should be there. I called his cell, but it was switched off. I waited a while, but he didn’t show up. I gave up and went back to your room and dozed off with Tiffany.“But you weren’t here this morning when I woke up.” Mirae told me, confused.“Well yeah, I woke up earlier and checked on Kai, and then went back to my hotel room so you guys wouldn’t get in trouble.”“And Kai?” Her voice softened.“He was there, but he wouldn’t open the door. He only yelled when I knocked and told me to leave him alone so he could sleep.”“So he was okay?”“I guess so.”“I thought you’re telling us because it’ll help us figure out what’s wrong with Kai, and why he passed out.” Now she was getting annoyed.“Isn’t this of any help?”“No, you’re only making me worry even more. Where did he disappear off to?”
