WHEN I CAN HAVE A LIFETIME I Swear – 동방신기www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDa_WNmBVh8 ~•♥•~ The entire day went well as they ate everything in their picnic baskets, enjoying the heat of the sun as they played around and before the sun sets, they splashed around by the waters, grabbing each other and throwing themselves deeper into the clear blue water. As the sky began to get darker, the guys gathered up some wood to set up a bonfire so they could continue the fun. Yunho brought out a bottle of wine and some glasses from his car and they all sat around the bonfire catching with each others’ lives; laughing at their foolish decisions and sharing the downfalls of their lives. Yunho was talking all about his experiences in Japan and MinYoung was staring at him rather listening to his stories. She hugged her knees closely to her chest and just looked intently at Yunho who was sitting beside her. Junsu gulped down his last drop of wine, “So, any girls lingering around you while you’re in Japan?”“With a good looking guy such as me, do you think no one will be following me?” Yunho jokingly said. “Maybe that’s why he never sent any replies,” MinYoung’s heart shattered as she looked away. Yoochun, who was beside Junsu, wrapped his arm around Junsu’s neck and tackled him, “You shouldn’t have asked that.” He gritted through his teeth while Junsu struggled to be released. “What did I do?!” Junsu asked Yoochun one’s he got away from his friend’s grip. AeRin smacked the back of Junsu’s head, “You’re causing trouble for unnie and oppa,” she muttered. Yunho was oblivious to the three’s muttering as he poured another glass of wine for Changmin. Yunho noticed MinYoung’s empty glass and he poured some on it. Not feeling like drinking more, MinYoung stood up from the circle and walked away from the group. “Unnie!” HaRin called and MinYoung turned around. “Where are you going?” she asked her friend.“I’ll just.. Walk around,” MinYoung said softly and walked away.Yunho turned to look at his friends and whispered, “Is she on her period?” MinGi placed a hand on his shoulder. “Oppa, you should follow her and have some time to talk.” Yunho looked at MinYoung’s figure that was standing far from where they were and was playing with the water by her foot. He placed down the wine bottle and his glass and excused himself from the circle. As he neared MinYoung, he balled up his hands and inserted it to his pockets.“Hey~” he called out softly. MinYoung turned around and saw Yunho approaching her. MinYoung looked down and played with the water with her feet, “Why’d you leave them?”“I thought you might need some company,” he told her. MinYoung chuckled and said softly, “I’m fine. You should get back there; they missed you.”Yunho looked far away by the waters, “Didn’t you miss me?” “You don’t know how much,” she answered in a soft voice that was barely audible but Yunho was able to catch up on her words. “Stop it!!” Yunho and MinYoung were interrupted as they turned around and saw their friends laughing and joking around like they used to back in high school. “These kids never grew up,” Yunho smiled as they watched them fool around.MinYoung chuckled, “I think we’ll never will. There are just some precious memories that you would want to keep living forever.” “Like how much I love you back then until now.” MinYoung looked away. “But we are getting old and things just changes on its own even if we never wanted to,” MinYoung stated.Yunho faced MinYoung, “You’re beginning to sound profound.” They both laughed softly.“Well, we’re not getting any younger,” MinYoung raised her shoulders.“True,” Yunho agreed. Yunho then cleared his throat after a moment of silence, “I don’t know when the last time we had talked about this was but do you remember our agreement?” He asked. MinYoung faced him and tilted her head to the side.“What agreement?” Flashback “Let’s make a deal,” he sat up straight. MinYoung just looked at him.“If we’re both unsuccessful in searching for the person we think we’ll live with for the rest of our lives, then you and I will get married instead,” he proposed. MinYoung’s eyes widened in fright.“Are you kidding me?! You’ll have me tied up to you?! I’d rather get old single than have you as my husband!” she complained.“What?! At least we’ll not get lonely~ Plus, we’ve been together for so long!” he persisted.“Stop it. It’s a bad joke~”“I’m not joking!”“Jerk!” MinYoung frowned. End of Flashback “I never agreed to that,” MinYoung told him. “And that was a lame deal.”“But still,” Yunho persisted. MinYoung looked away in frustration. Yunho kept on staring at her to get her attention but MinYoung was being stubborn and continued to look away. “MinYoung-ah~” he called but MinYoung wouldn’t budge. “Come on MinYoung-ah, I didn’t come back all the way from Japan to get you mad at me.” MinYoung shut her eyes and exhaled. She didn’t want to get mad at Yunho on the night that they were supposed to have fun and relax. “Then why did you come back?” she muttered under her breath.“I came back here to fulfill my promise,” he immediately answered. “Before I left for Japan, I promised to come back after a year to the person who’ll be waiting for me.” MinYoung slowly turned to look at Yunho who was facing her. “Then why not send at least a single reply to any of my messages, oppa?” she asked.“I knew I only had three months before I get back here and I needed to clear my head and have to think straight,” he answered. “Think about what?” she asked but Yunho didn’t answer and just stared at her. MinYoung felt like dying as she waited for Yunho to answer. That’s when she understood that Yunho was thinking about their relationship. She thought that Yunho was about to call it quits even if they weren’t really together. “Did I ever tell you that I love you?” Yunho suddenly asked. MinYoung’s heart squeezed at the memory.“Yeah~ the last time you said you loved me… was when you left for Japan,” she answered. “But I don’t know until to what extent,” she added. Yunho scratched his ear, “I don’t know if you remember but when we were in Macau, when YoungHee broke up with me, I was going to confess to you and tell you how much I really love you more than just a friend,” he said seriously. “But then I got tongue-tied and the words just won’t come out because I knew you’ll never take it seriously if it came from me. You’d call me a jerk,” he laughed at his own joke.“Why would I call you that?” MinYoung chuckled as she crossed her arms and awkwardly looked away. Yunho eventually stopped laughing, “Well now I’m telling you that I really love you… so much.”MinYoung looked Yunho in the eyes. “You’re not drunk. You only had a half glass of wine finished making you sober. You’re already mature to be joking at things like this,” MinYoung said slowly but then she bit her lip.“You don’t believe me?” he asked.MinYoung turned away, “I don’t mean to offend you but a lot of girls have fallen for those kinds of lines of yours.” “Yeah, but this is the only time in my life that I mean it,” he said. MinYoung looked at him once again and he saw that tears were beginning to form in the rims of her eyes. “Are you… are you crying?” he cupped her face in his hands.“You just don’t know…”“About what?”“How much I love you and how much I missed you… being with you.” Yunho smiled at MinYoung’s cuteness.“I love you too… so much. And I missed you,” he pulled her into a hug. MinYoung wiped her tears and hugged Yunho tighter.“At least we’ve get to be together forever,” he said.MinYoung laughed, “That’s if I’ll be able to last being with you,” she joked. “I know you will,” Yunho said confidently. MinYoung broke the hug and laughed at Yunho. He took something out of his pocket and placed a small velvet box on MinYoung’s hands.“What is this?” she asked as she opened the box to reveal a ring: eragem.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/300x/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/d/i/dia650i-Tiffany-and-Co-diamond-engagement-ring-solid-platinum.jpg “I know it’s too soon but I was going to ask you to marry me,” Yunho scratched the back of his head.MinYoung agreed, “It’s sudden alright. You didn’t even courted me and ask me to be your girlfriend,” she said in a semi-sarcastic way. “Why would I worry about that if I could spend a lifetime doing that after we get married?” he asked as he wound his arms around her waist.MinYoung looked up at him, “So you’re serious about this?” He looked down on her.“Nothing will make me happier than to spend my entire life with you,” he told her. MinYoung looked back on the ring and gazed at it until Yunho took the box and eventually kneeled in front of her. Their friends gasped at the scene in front of them. “Shin MinYoung, I know this is too soon and it may be weird but would you do the extraordinary honor of marrying me?” he asked with the ring in front of her.“You thought about this for three months?” she asked and he nodded.“Then I might have to think about it for three months as well,” she joked but Yunho looked seriously at her.“Then I’ll wait for three months for your answer,” he said to her. MinYoung’s heart melted at Yunho’s willingness. She knew Yunho was never patient at anything but looking into his eyes, there was assurance that he’ll be waiting. “Why would I do that when I could just say ‘yes’ now?” MinYoung bit her lip and Yunho smiled.“So will you marry me?” he asked again.MinYoung nodded, “Yes!” Yunho took out the ring from the box and slowly inserted it to MinYoung’s ring finger. He then stood up and locked lips with MinYoung. She wrapped her hands around his neck and his on her waist and held each other close. Their friends had their arms around each other. Once the couple broke away, they looked lovingly at each other and their friends erupted into cheers. Yunho smiled down at MinYoung, “I love you.”“I love you, too, oppa~” ~•♥•~
