Is He "The One"? (1/1)
WHAT IS LOVE – EXO-Kwww.youtube.com/watch?v=7kN-f6qISFQ~•♥•~ Two weeks later. It was already dark and MinYoung was still in her work room, stitching up her clothes together. She was so focused that her glasses were already at the end of her nose. After finishing her second dress, she hung it up on a mannequin and stared at it to see if it was perfect. Suddenly, her phone rang. MinYoung pushed her glasses back, pushed her needle on the cushion on her wrist and went out of her work room to answer her phone. “Hello?”“Hi, honey! Are you in your apartment?” the other person asked.“Umma??” MinYoung asked, surprised it was her mom calling her.“Yeah~ I just flew in from New York,” her mom told her.“Really? You should’ve told me; I could have picked you up at the airport,” MinYoung said.“It’s okay. I know you’re busy so I just took a cab to get home. So, are you in your apartment right now?” she asked.“Yeah. You’re at home right now? You could’ve just stayed here in my apartment,” MinYoung offered.“Thanks but I feel like staying at our home. You should stay here while I’m here,” Mrs. Shin suggested. MinYoung scratched her forehead. “I don’t think.. I don’t think I can. I have to work on my clothes in the morning,” MinYoung stammered.“Come on, honey. Keep me company here at home? I promise I’ll help you with your clothes,” Mrs. Shin offered. MinYoung smiled.“Alright, I’ll be over in thirty minutes. I’ll just have to bring my stuff,” she told her mom.“Okay, see you soon,” and her mom hung up. MinYoung packed up some clothes and her toiletries with her. She hailed a taxi and went home for the first time after graduating from high school. MinYoung looked out of the window and saw the familiar places that she hasn’t visited ever since she entered the university. The taxi halted in front of MinYoung’s house. As she walked up the path to her house, she noticed Yunho’s house and wondered if he ever visited it since he came back from the States. “There’s my baby!” Mrs. Shin greeted, breaking MinYoung’s thoughts.“Umma! I missed you!” she ran up to her mother and was then enveloped in a tight hug; MinYoung hugged her mom back.“Let’s get inside,” Mrs. Shin broke away from the hug. “I’ve got our favorite ice cream in the freezer,” she squeezed her daughter’s arms.“I see we’re in for some long catching up,” MinYoung chuckled.“Of course, I’ve been gone for a long time so it’s just right that we do some catching up. We’ve got to discuss about your clothing line as well,” Mrs. Shin said as they both went inside the house.Once she entered the house, MinYoung looked around and noticed how everything was still in place; the furniture, the picture frames on top of the fireplace and coffee tables, the magazines and photo albums neatly stacked on the shelves. MinYoung definitely missed her home. She looked upstairs and spotted her bedroom door. “I’ll go get changed first! I’ll be down soon!” MinYoung cried at her mother who’s inside the kitchen. MinYoung ran up the stairs to her bedroom. She grasped the doorknob and slowly turned it. Her bedroom was still the same as she left it; not a single thing was moved. MinYoung began to feel nostalgic as she remembered the memorable things that happened in her room. She went near her balcony door and reminisced the times Yunho crossed over from his room to hers. MinYoung went pass her walk-in closet and opened one cabinet. The clothes her mom bought her from different countries were still there. “These are really not for me,” MinYoung sighed as she held a gorgeous red dress. She put back the dress and carefully closed the cabinet. MinYoung went to her bathroom to change. “Honey, the ice cream’s melting!” Mrs. Shin shouted from downstairs.“I’m coming!” MinYoung put on her glasses and went downstairs. Mrs. Shin was in their gazebo, holding two spoons up. She gave the other spoon to MinYoung and opened the Baskin Robbins ice cream and both began to dig in. “So how are your clothes doing?” Mrs. Shin asked.“Progress is slow. I just finished my second one,” MinYoung frowned. Mrs. Shin chuckled.“It takes time to bring one design to life,” she told her daughter.“I’m worried that I won’t finish on time~”“Don’t worry too much. That’s why I came home earlier so I could help,” Mrs. Shin assured. “Do you already have your models?” she asked.“I had the casting two weeks ago. A lot of girls came so I asked help from HaRin, MinGi and AeRin,” MinYoung said. “I casted Yunho oppa’s girlfriend as well,” she added. Mrs. Shin looked at her, surprised. “Yunho’s got a girlfriend?” Mrs. Shin repeated.“He always had one, umma. He’s had a lot of girlfriends since he went to States to study,” MinYoung told her.“Bummer. I was hoping that you’ll both end up together,” her mom said pouting. MinYoung’s eyes widened.“Umma!” she playfully shoved her mom.“What?! You have like, the biggest crush on him!” her mom accused.“Correction! ‘Had’ is the right term,” MinYoung raised her spoon.“Still, I think you two would make a cute couple!” Mrs. Shin shrugged.“Umma! The person’s got a girlfriend already!” her daughter wanted her to stop. “Can I sabotage her?” Mrs. Shin suddenly asked.“What’s with you guys that you want to sabotage Yunho oppa’s girlfriend?” MinYoung asked.“Someone else wants to sabotage her?” her mom’s eyes lit up.“Yeah, HaRin, MinGi and AeRin,” MinYoung told her, scooping some ice cream for herself.“Ohh~” MinYoung looked at her mom who had her crazy eyes on. “Umma.”“What?”“Don’t.”“I’m not doing anything~”“You’ve got your crazy eyes on. Whatever you’re planning, it’s not going to happen.”“It will. I can get help from three people,” Mrs. Shin cheered. “No.”“Please? Just this once?” Mrs. Shin begged.“No.”“Please?”“Nuh-uh.” Mrs. Shin gave up and pouted; she knew she won’t be able to persuade and win over her daughter. Mrs. Shin looked away and smirked. “I’m so going to do it. She won’t know unless someone else tells her,” Mrs. Shin snickered. “Fine. I won’t do it,” she told her daughter and ate an ice cream.“Thank you~” MinYoung breathed out. “Since Yunho’s already taken, do you have any other guy in mind?” Mrs. Shin asked. MinYoung bit her lip.“Well,” she began. Mrs. Shin stopped eating and looked at her daughter. “There is someone,” she told her mom.“Who?”“Yoochun oppa,” MinYoung blushed.“Park Yoochun?!” her mom asked and she slowly nodded. “Are you two together now?” MinYoung nodded. Mrs. Shin gave her daughter a confused look. “Yoochun oppa asked me out on a date and he confessed to me that night. I didn’t know what to tell him so he told me to think it over for a while and gave me this ring,” MinYoung showed the ring that was dangling on her neck. “We went out together for a couple of times and he’s just an amazing person; he loves me for who I am even though I’m not the type of girl that guys usually go for and he’s willing to wait for me,” she sighed dreamily. Mrs. Shin could feel her daughter’s happiness as she saw the sparkle in MinYoung’s eyes. “Is he ‘the one’?” Mrs. Shin teased.“Umma~” MinYoung blushed hard and covered her face. Mrs. Shin laughed. “As long as you’re happy, baby, I’m happy as well,” Mrs. Shin side hugged her. MinYoung smiled gratefully at her. “Is he really ‘the one’” MinYoung asked herself as well. ~•♥•~
