Promise Me (1/1)
1초만 더 – 2AMwww.youtube.com/watch?v=JA73ctUJJzQ~•♥•~ It was almost midnight and MinYoung was sitting all night by their table while her friends went to the dance floor from time to time. “Unnie, let’s go dance?” HaRin offered her.“It’s okay, dongsaeng. I’ll just sit here and look over your stuff,” MinYoung rejected.“But you’ve been sitting here all night,” her dongsaeng pouted.“I’m much comfortable here. Go on, I’m fine,” she pushed her friends to the dance floor. MinYoung went back to sit down and watched her friends dance. MinYoung laughed as Junsu danced hilariously. After a couple more songs, a slow song played and everyone went into pairs. MinYoung saw Jaejoong extending his hand to HaRin, asking for a dance; the latter accepted his hand, blushing. Changmin swiftly moved his arms around MinGi’s waist and she softly placed her arms around his neck. Junsu, however, suddenly pulled AeRin towards him. MinYoung laughed at her dongsaeng’s weird look at Junsu when he winked at AeRin. MinYoung was slowly moving her body side to side as she followed the slow beat. “Why are you here alone?” MinYoung turned to look on her left and found Yoochun sitting next to her. “Oh, oppa, it’s just you,” she had a hand placed over her chest.“It’s just me?” he raised an eyebrow.“I mean, it’s you~” she chuckled and so did he.“So what are you doing here not dancing?” he asked again.“Oppa, it’s hard to dance alone in a slow song,” she told him.“Then let’s dance,” he said casually.“No, tha-“ MinYoung was about to reject him but he yanked her over to the dance floor. Yoochun faced her to him. “Oppa, I don’t know how to dance~” she whispered.“It’s okay,” he said softly as he carefully placed her arms over his shoulders and he softly placed his hands on MinYoung’s hips and they began to sway.“This seems nice,” she smiled politely at him.“It is,” he smiled back. As they both swayed, MinYoung caught Yunho and ShinHye dancing closely together with Yoochun’s back turned away from them. She felt as if something sharp was piercing through her heart that she needed support. MinYoung pulled Yoochun close to her and hugged him tight. “Are you okay?” he suddenly asked.“I’m okay~” she whispered. Yoochun swayed them both until they changed positions; he saw Yunho and ShinHye exit the dance floor. “It’s okay, MinYoung-ah~ I’m here for you~” he whispered back and gave her a squeeze.“Thank you, oppa~” she continued to hug him. Yoochun continued to hold MinYoung in his arms as they slowly swayed to the beat. He knew that MinYoung needed support and he’s willing to hold her until she needed to. MinYoung made herself comfortable and placed her head on Yoochun’s shoulder and closed her eyes. “Yoochun oppa, my life support,” MinYoung smiled. “May I cut in?” The pair stopped dancing and MinYoung looked up to see Yunho smiling at them. “Hey,” Yoochun casually greeted him.“Can I steal her from you for a while?” Yunho asked. Yoochun looked at MinYoung who just stood there looking elsewhere. “She’s yours,” Yoochun patted Yunho’s back before leaving. Yunho reached for MinYoung’s hands and placed it around his neck. He smoothly snaked his arms around her waist. MinYoung’s cheeks turned into a light shade of pink as they slowly danced. Yunho intently gazed at her. “Who knew you could look this pretty?” Yunho teased.“Jung Yunho, if you just want to piss me off then you should’ve left me and Yoochun oppa instead,” she glared at him.“Hey, I was just joking~” he smiled.“It was not funny,” she told him.“I’m sorry, then,” he said softly. MinYoung felt her chest warming up when he apologized. No matter how angry she may get at him, MinYoung couldn’t possibly stay mad at Yunho for a long time. “So, I guess, this will be your last night here in Seoul?” she asked.“Yeah,” he said, with a hint of sadness in his voice.“You shouldn’t stay up late. You have to take an early flight tomorrow,” she reminded him.“Maybe I should stay up late tonight so that I could miss my flight tomorrow,” he grinned at her. Suddenly, he received a smack on the back of his head.“What was that for??” he rubbed the spot.“Do that and I’m sure that your FOUR YEARS will turn to FOREVER. Your father will never let you make one step here in Seoul,” she told him.“Do you want me out of this country that bad that you want me to send me off early in the morning tomorrow??” he asked.“Of course, not, I’d rather have you here,” she immediately answered. Yunho stayed silent.“I-I-I me-mean that I-I’d rather have my best friend here,” she added. “MinYoung-ah~” MinYoung looked up to meet Yunho’s eyes. “Can I ask you something?” he asked.“Su-sure~”“Do you want me to go?”“What kind of question is that?” MinYoung nervously chuckled and looked away.“Do you want me to go?” he repeated as he shifted MinYoung’s face to look at him.“Even if I don’t want you to go, you have to. Your father wants you to,” she answered, “my opinion wouldn’t matter at all. I’m just simply your.. Best friend,” MinYoung added, with her voice trailing off. Yunho remained silent, knowing that she was right. “Then can you promise me something?” he immediately asked.“What is it?” “That after four years, you’ll still be my best friend,” he said. MinYoung’s heart softened but hurt as the same time. She felt happy that he still wants her to become his best friend but it pained her to think that that’s what they’ll ever be. Yunho looked at her like a little boy really asking for a promise. “I promise,” she smiled softly. “And that’s a promise I’m willing to keep,” she thought. “And one more thing,” a smile playing on his lips, “if ever some guys begin to ask you out, tell me first alright?”“And why would I do that??” she gave him a weird look.“I don’t want anyone to hurt and break my best friend’s heart,” he said and MinYoung had to smile.“But since Yoochun will be here and the rest of the guys, I don’t think I need to worry,” he added.“Why do I feel like you guys won’t allow me to have a boyfriend??” she asked.“Don’t worry. We’ll let you when we think when you’re ready,” he grinned.“And that would be when?” she had her eyes in slits.“By the time you reach 40 years old, I guess,” he answered casually. MinYoung’s eyes widened.“YAH!!” she slapped his arm.“Ouch!! Learn how to take a joke, will you?!” he snapped.“It’s a bad joke~” she glared at him. “I will surely miss you oppa,” she finally said.“And I’m going to miss you, too,” he told her. Yunho leaned his forehead on MinYoung’s and they continued to dance in the middle of the dance floor. ~•♥•~
