The Start of Something Ne (1/1)

“You know my Samchon?” Baekhyun questioned.“Wait… Jung Taekwoon is your Samchon?” Jina asked as she tilted her head sideways in confusion.“Yeah… how do you know him?”“I met him yesterday.”“How?”“None of your business. No… call that ahjusshi and tell him to come home right now.” Jina demanded.“Why?” Baekhyun asked“Just do it, you ask too many questions. If you do it, you’ll find out.”“Fine.” Baekhyun grumbled as he dialed his Samchon’s number. “Hello?” Taekwoon said over the phone.“Samchon! You need to come home fast!” Baekhyun explained.“What’s wrong?” Taekwoon got up from his seat and grabbed his coat.“Just come, Samchon!”“Okay, I’ll be there in fifteen minutes!” Taekwoon replied and got off the phone. “He said he’ll be home in fifteen minutes.” Baekhyun repeated to Jina.“Okay then, lead the way!” Jina replied.“Lead the way to where?” Baekhyun asked.“Again with your questions… lead the way to your house. Where else would you lead me to when I made you tell your Samchon to go home?” Jina retorted with great attitude.“Okay fine but if you needed him, couldn’t you just call him yourself?” Baekhyun questioned so more.“He’s not going to answer me.” Jina replied.“Please don’t tell me you got me to do something I’m not supposed to do…” Baekhyun stopped walking and replied.“I might’ve… Oh, Chanyeol… I think you’re better off leaving. You should get out of this mess before it’s too late like this poor fellow…” Jina said patting Baekhyun’s shoulders.“See you later, Byun Baek.” Chanyeol said as he gave his friend’s head a pat.It was a bus ride and a couple minute walk to Baekhyun and Taekwoon’s house. But clearly for Jina, it was too much. She rarely went further than the bookstore and she hasn’t got on any type of public transportation in a long time. Baekhyun stopped in front of a somewhat luxurious looking apartment. They both got into the elevator and Baekhyun pressed the button for the sixteenth floor. The ride was quiet and awkward. The silence was only interrupted by the noise the elevator made to alert that it had reached the destined floor. Baekhyun walked to the door that read 1604 and unlocked the door. Jina stopped and grabbed the knob trying to see who had touched it before.“Baekhyun! What’s wrong?!” Taekwoon’s sudden voice surprised Jina out of her visions and walked into the house.“Hi, Ahjusshi!” Jina cheerfully said as she took her shoes off, slipping into a pair of slippers.“Why are you here?” Taekwoon snapped.“Just for fun. I thought it was funny how I coincidentally met you yesterday and your nephew today.” Jina explained.“Samchon… I really didn’t know you didn’t want to meet her gain… she just told me to do it and I didn’t… no couldn’t refuse.” Baekhyun said to his uncle.“How come two healthy men live in this house and no girl but me has entered through that door?” Jina questioned all of a sudden.“Because I live with an eighteen years old high schooler.” Taekwoon replied.“That’s not a good enough reason… It’s been two years since you guys moved here and not even an old lady has walked into this house. How is that even possible?”“Wait… how did you know we moved two years ago?” Baekhyun interrupted the conversation.“I touched your door knob, that’s how.” Jina answered as she sat on their couch.“What does that have to do with anything?” Baekhyun asked once more.“It means that I can see the-”“Stop talking right now!” Taekwoon demanded.“Let me finish my sent-”“No, you are leaving now!”The room filled with silence as Taekwoon’s heavy breath filled the room. Jina got up and approached Baekhyun, reaching her hands out to grab Baekhyun’s. But she was stopped midway when Taekwoon had grabbed her wrist.“Don’t you dare touch my nephew…” Taekwoon stated, his voice just below a whisper but not so harsh, more soft and calming.“I get you are worried about your only family member, but he isn’t a baby anymore.” Jina sighed out.“You don’t have the right to tell me what to do.” Taekwoon argued.“Are you worried that I might do something to him? That I might take advantage of his little secret? That if I did, you’ll relive that nightmare of yours?” Jina retorted.“How do you know about that? Samchon, did you tell her?” Baekhyun asked with confusion.“I just found out by myself… You’re not the only one in this world that can do weird things.” Jina softly responded.“Can you see them too?” Baekhyun’s face lightened up a bit and Jina couldn’t help but to give a faint smile.“Not exactly the same but I can tell you mine is probably worse in ways…” Jina responded softly.“Stop this nonsense and leave my house.” Taekwoon said as he clenching his jaw tightly.“I have these dreams… well more like nightmares. Usually they are of murders or crimes that worthy of being on the news. But these dreams aren’t just dreams. They actually happen in real life. I can also see the past of objects or the person if I touch them. That’s how I knew you moved in two years ago… because I touched your door knob.” Jina ignored Taekwoon’s existence and went on.“I said leave… the exit is the same way you came in.” Taekwoon repeated himself.“I didn’t mean to find out, I’m sorry if it offended you in any ways. It just happened when you touched my hands…”“Leave. Now.” Taekwoon said pulling me to the door.“Then can you help me?” Taekwoon’s grip on Jina’s wrists loosened as he turned to look at his nephew.“What do you mean?”  Jina asked as she looked at flabbergasted Taekwoon.“I used to be afraid of these spirits I see. Sometimes they are great threat, telling me they want to kill me or kill someone else. But recently I met a lot of friendly ones. They tell me their stories as I lay in bed and ask me help. The thing is, I don’t know how. I don’t have the power to get a case open for it or have the evidence to prove it. But you can see the past, the present, and the future. You can help me get these people to cross over and rest in peace.” Baekhyun explained.“Hey kiddo, I can help. I can do that for you, you don’t need to ask someone else to do it.” Taekwoon said to Baekhyun, his voice filled with love and warmth.“You can’t help me, Samchon. You can’t find evidence that can’t be seen.” Baekhyun fought back.“He can help though. We can’t open cases, but he can. I can do things that he can’t but he can do things we can’t. We need the law on our side and sadly he’s the only one who can help us with that.” Jina commented.“How long have you thought this, Baekhyun?” Taekwoon asked.“About a month or two… it was after I met this little girl. She was hit by a car but there wae no report on it. I wanted to help so bad but I knew I can’t do anything to help. Maybe this girl is right Samchon, maybe if we work together we can  do something.”The two young children looked at the older with round eyes and pouty lips. Taekwoon sighed out and plopped down on the sofa.“Fine It’s not like you guys won’t do it even if I say no anyways.” Taekwoon commented.“Okay, let’s introduce each other now.” Jina said cheerfully.“But we know each other already.” Taekwoon grumbled.“I don’t know him.” Jina replied and Baekhyun nodded along.“Really?! You brought a stranger to the house?”“She knew you… okay, fine! Maybe I wasn’t thinking…” Baekhyun replied.“Ahjusshi! You start!”“You both know me. Can’t you guys introduce yourselves to each other and get it over with?”“Just do it, Samchon!” Baekhyun exclaimed and Taekwoon sighed.“Name is Jung Taekwoon, Baekhyun you must call me Samchon or else and I guess you can call me whatever you want.”“Go on…” Jina replied.“Uhmmm…. I’m thirty years old. I became a detective at the age of eighteen and was named the youngest detective. Ive been working as a detective ever since.” Taekwoon added.“Okay! I’ll go next! My name is Byun Baekhyun and I’m in my last year of high school.” Baekhyun began.“Wait… last year of high school?! Meaning you’re eighteen?!” Jina questioned.“Yep! Samchon said it before…”“How are you eighteen and look like that?”“What is that supposed to mean?”“What I mean is how can someone look like you and be two years younger than me?” Jina questioned.“There’s nothing wrong with me! It’s you! You’re the one who doesn’t look two years older than me!” Baekhyun retorted.“Oh, why thank you!!” Jina beamed.“Just ignore her.” Taekwoon encouraged his nephew.“Anyways, I’m eighteen years old and I live with my Samchon, who is my only family member. I can see spirits and the first time it happened was when I was six, I saw my mother.” Baekhyun finally finished.“Now me! My name is Park Jina! I’m twenty years old and I’m a total freelancer. My parents used to own a big company when they were around and now the company is mine but I don’t want to own it so I only get half the company’s profit. I have the ability to see the past, the present, and the future. I had it since I was eight after my friend died.” Jina introduced herself.“a lot of people are gone from your life.” Taekwoon said sarcastically.“It’s funny isn’t it? I can see people dying in my dreams but everyone around me is dying. It’s probably why I hated going to school and making friends after that day.” Jina replied.“All of these depressing stuff is boring. Can we talk about how we will be doing this?” Baekhyun asked.“All I can do is the legal things like starting he case and ending it.” Taekwoon replied.“All I can do is giving you all the information that cannot be see.” Jina said. “Oh! Sometimes I can warn you about a murder or tell you details of the murder.”“And what I can do is start the case and tell you the story from firsthand view.” Baekhyun concluded.“I think this is a good group of abilities. What should we call ourselves?” Jina questioned.“Are we really going to do this?” Taekwoon asked.“How about we have something with special in it?” Baekhyun suggested.“Yep, we are doing this…” Taekwoon sighed out as he laid down comfortably on the couch and watched the two children in front of him cheerfully argue about the name of this group. In the end of the argument, all three -- well Taekwoon just agreed with everything so the name could be made and he can just rest peacefully -- agreed with Special Investigating Crime Force. Taekwoon yelled at Baekhyun to go do his homework and extra studies and yelled at Jina to leave since it was getting dark. Baekhyun unwillingly went to his room while Jina acted like she didn’t hear Taekwoon at all. Jina walked out to the balcony that had a nice view of the city. Taekwoon joined her with two cups of warm coffee and took a sear next to Jina on the floor.“The lights the city is showing looks like stars from here, doesn’t it?” Taekwoon asked.“I guess…” Jina softly answered.“Do you ever miss your old life?”“I was only eight, what possibly could I not miss about that?” Jina said with a bright smile.“Then how come you look so said when your parents or your past comes up?”“Everything happens for a reason, if you can prevent it from happening, you don’t know what will happen…”“That’s a good point.”“You and Baekhyun… you guys make me want my parents back. I lived two years without them, not even wanting them back, but when I see you guys, I miss having someone to call family.”“Is that why you don’t want to leave?”“My house is big and beautiful but I feel lonely and annoyed.”“I think you could make a good friend for Baekhyun. He needed someone like him.” Taekwoon said and silence took over the air.“Ahjusshi…” Jina called out.“What?” Taekwoon replied.“Can I touch your hand?”“No.”“Why not?”“Would you want to give your hand to someone who can see your past?”“That’s true… but that’s my way of learning more about you though.”“So?” Taekwoon snapped and Jina pouted.“It’s just that I feel like I know you, ahjusshi. I feel like I’ve known you for so long…” Jina murmured.“Well, that’s weird be-” Taekwoon began and stopped when Jina’s head fell onto his shoulder. He smiled at the sight of Jina in her dream land. He picked her up and laid her on the couch – Taekwoon refused to let her into his because he hadn’t cleaned his room in ages. He got a warm and cozy blanket and covered the small framed girl.“I’m sorry, Suzy-yah…” Jina mumbled out in her sleep. Taekwoon heard it clearly though.Suzy… it was a cursed name in Taekwoon’s dictionary. Was it possible that the Suzy that Jina called out, could be the Suzy he knew?Impossible… Taekwoon thought as he went into his room. But little did they know, they knew each other more than anything…     I FINALLY GOT MYSELF TO TYPE!!! YESH!!!!! I hope it is satisfying xPStarting from the next chapter is when the real shit is going to happen!! I have lots and lots of scary things to come at you that Baekhyun has to go through and lots of lots of pain that Jina and Leo will go through >.< So hope you guys continue to wait patiently for me!!! Comment, subscribe and upvote if you want ^^  Oh and you can read my other story The Red String which is also Leo story and I'm going to put a bit of Baekyeol in it because I love Baekyeol... maybe I should add Hunhan...
