[M] Friend or Foe? (1/1)

"You gonna keep staring at me like an idoit or get up?" Chanyeol starts tapping his foot impatiently. I quickly grab my belongings and get up from my seat. So much for not getting bullied.. "Yah, Chanyeol, no need to be a jerk to the new guy. you can always sit by me." Suho slings his arm over my shoulder. Chanyeol doesn't say anything, as if he didn't even hear him. Suho walks over and smacks the back of his head. " What the hell?" Suho crosses his arms. "You don't need to be a jerk to him, and I sure as hell am not taking you being a asshole to me. Now quit acting stupid before I smack you agian. Give him his seat back, now." Chanyeol, still rubbing his head, glares at me and gets up. "You didn't have to do that, I could've just sat somewhere else." "No, once you let Chan push you arond once, he tends to repeat it. You need to be able to stick up for yourself, especially if you are going to be hanging out with us a lot. Now when Sehun and Chanyeol are together, you need to be able to handle your own, cause we aren't going to be around all the time to protect you." Just as I take a seat the professor strolls in and starts taking attendance. A tall model like guys walks in out of breath and takes a seat by me. "Kai, you're already starting off the semester with a tardy, please don't let it happen again." Kai nods and starts taking out his class materials. After attendance, the professor instantly starts lecturing, no syllabus or introductions. I was taking notes when someone taps my arm. I look over to find Kai looking at me. "Hey, do you mind if I borrow a pen? I can't seem to find mine." I nod and fish out a pen and hand it over. He gives me a smile and bends over his notebook, scribbling away. Nice to know someone shares the desire to learn as I do. I glance to my side as Kai rips the paper out from his notebook and folds it up, then he turns back to me and puts the note on my desk. I must have looked lost because he motions for me to open it. I sigh as I open the note. Seems he wasn't eagerly writing down notes from class.. You're new here, huh? My name is Kai. Have you met the others? I look from the note to Kai. He smiles again and mimics writing in the note. I know there is some stuff I'm missing in this lecture, but I did say I was going to make friends. Yeah, I'm new. My name is Baekhyun. and if by others you mean Chanyeol, Xiumin, Sehun, Suho, Lay, and Deerintheheadlights DO, then yeah, I have. Can I ask you something? I fold the note up quickly hand it to him before the professor turned around. Kai opens the note and then laughs. A good, wholehearted laugh that completely cut off whatever the teacher was saying. "Kai! You were already late, now you're interrupting the class? Any other words or sounds out of you and you'll spend the rest of this class outside." Kai nods and looks down as the professor starts on the lecture again. While I begin taking notes again Kai throws the note back on my desk. Whoops, I swear this professor get's crankier and crankier every semester. Let me guess, Sehun was the one who said that about DO huh? and yeah, you can ask me anything. Me and Xiumin are the easiest people to talk to, so if anything is bothering you just go to one of us. I laugh then start to write but the professor snatches the note up. "What's your name?" My eyes get big and I bow my head. "Baekhyun." "Baekhyun, Kai, go stand outside for the rest of class. I won't tolerate this behavior when other students are trying to learn. Now." I get up and head out with Kai following close behind. Once the door was shut Kai turns to me and smiles. "Was that your first time ever getting in trouble? You looked scared to death." I nod. "In all my years of school, I have never gotten sent out of a classroom. They won't call my parents right?" Kai just laughs. "So what did you want to ask me?" "What's Chanyeol's deal? I didn't even say hi to him and he acted like a total asshole to me." Kai laughs again. "He's like that at first. You know, it took him a year to warm up to me?" My eyes must've gotten big because Kai laughs again. "I'm kidding! It only took him a day to like me. Actually, it took him a period. Why? Is he giving you trouble?" I look down and shrug. "Maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Forget I said anything." The bell rings signalling the end of class and we go back in to gather up our belongings. There was a note on my desk and on Kai's. Oh no. It said I need to get my parents signature so they know I was misbehaving in class. I start to sweat and feel sick. Great, mom was going to kill me.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Sorry this chapter must have been kinda boring!
