Bring The Beasts Out (1/1)
NEARBY RESTAURANT:"Is she really that pretty?""Well, I guess so." With one spoon, Kikwang played around with his lunch apathetically."And you're sure Dong Woon saw her first?""Hard to believe, isn't it?""So what did you tell him?""Was I supposed to tell him something?" Kikwang looked up from the now-cold rice he was eating to a 23 year old man's curious face. His visage was well sculpted: high cheekbones, a defined jawline, and perfect proportions. His personality was a bit obnoxious and slow, possibly as slow as Kikwang was, maybe a bit more slower, but he radiated warmth and comfort. Other wise, Kikwang had no idea why he even bothered staying around this man, his supposed 'enemy': Lee Joon of MBLAQ. Joon and he had been good friends since high school, but just recently grown closer from the shooting of 'Oh! My School' or '100 points out of 100' (same show, 20 other names). Currently, he was staring back at Kikwang, astonished at his friend's answer."Oh. My. God. I cannot believe-oh-my-gosh-just-no-what is wrong with you-Kikwang-you have to-ugh-you disgust me-you're supposed to tell him everything! Even Seungho-hyung told me to tell the truth about everything to people I'm close to, except when I'm in public! Kikwang, Seungho-hyung told me that. Seungho-hyung." Lee Joon stuttered between words, but managed to spit out whatever he meant. Kikwang just chewed his rice slowly in response."Um, okay... but it doesn't really matter, does it?" Kikwang placed his spoon onto the plate, folded his arms, and leaned back in the chair. Joon's face returned to the dumbfounded and speechless face it had been a few seconds ago."Um, actually, no, it does matter. You've been sneaking in and out of your dorm to see a girl that Dong Woon's completely in love with! And worse with two of his other hyungs! How do you..." he sighed and leaned in closer, clasped his hands together and closed his eyes, collecting his thoughts. "Okay, look-uh-remember that one time-well-yeah-remember that one time we were hanging out with Yonghwa?" Kikwang nodded. "Okay, well, remember how he wanted to eat at that one restaurant across the restaurant we wanted to eat at, next to that one other one which is behind that other... okay, no, Yonghwa wanted to eat at the restaurant next to that fast-food place, which is near the one we wanted to eat at, but behind that one other restaurant we ate at that one other day, which is next to that one other food stand, not the one near that one place, but the one near that one square, and that restaurant was near that one street, near that one guy that usually stands there to sell that one drink, and there's this restaurant and it's that one. You know what I'm talking about?""Actually, Joonie-hyung, I don't." Kikwang stared back at Joon's--yet once again--present bewildered face."Oh come on, Kikwang! Okay, fine, remember that one time where we told Yonghwa that we were going to eat where we wanted to, and he could eat where he wanted to? And we'd meet up later? But in reality, we didn't tell him we were going to meet up, so he went back to his dorm, but later he found out we met Jihoon-hyung, and you know how much Yonghwa admires Jihoon-hyung, and then he got angry at us because I promised him that I would introduce him to Jihoon-hyung sooner or later, but then he thought we met hyung without him on purpose, and so yeah, he was really angry right?" Joon sputtered out the whole statement without a pause of breath, and blinked exactly twice after he finished speaking. Kikwang slowly nodded, unsure, but he nodded. "Well, Dong Woon's going to act just like that!""Hyung," Kikwang was trying to search for a reason how this made sense in his hyung's empty mind, or for a better reason why he really did stay around Joon, because he was pretty sure that Joon was dumbing Kikwang down to nothing the more time he spent time with Joon. Hell, he was even creating long sentences in his mind like Joon does. Like Dong Woon does. "Woon's not going to act like that. First of all, Yonghwa looks up to Jihoon-sunbae to no end- Seung Mi's just a girl, and-""Seung Mi?! You're already on a no formal suffix base with her! How will Dong Woon react?! Oh that poor maknae..." Joon looked back up to notice Kikwang eyeing him, which only led Joon to emphasis the severity of Kikwang's 'betrayal': "A no suffix base, Kikwang. No. Suffix. Base!""Hyung. You're being ridiculous. Dong Woon doesn't like Seung Mi-ssi nor does he even know her... that well...." he raised a hand when he noticed Joon's almost protests. "Woonie doesn't care, and he wouldn't care. He probably doesn't think of it being as a big deal. Probably. Anyway, hyung, thanks for the meal. I'll see you at the recording, yeah?""Wait, Kikwang!" Joon abruptly stood up as Kikwang scurried out the door and into a, convieniently, nearby taxi. "Ugh, bastard! You owe me more than fifty dollars already! In American money!" B2ST'S DORM:"Oh, hyung, you're back from your date with Joon-hyung?" Dong Woon perked up like a puppy when he saw his favorite hyung walk through the front door. He flipped around from his awkward sitting position to face Kikwang, widened his eyes and put on a delighted grin."Yeah, sure, whatever.""Well then." Dong Woon returned to his previous, unhumanlike nature position and went back to watching whatever was on tv."Where are the other hyungs?" Kikwang asked Dong Woon as he was switching his current flannel shirt for a more comfortable sweatshirt."In their room. Hyunseung-hyung had to calm Junnie-hyung down for something. I think it's allkpop again."Kikwang sighed and flopped on the seat beside a pouting Dong Woon, who was trying to appear cute to his older--and favorite--hyung. "I'm surprised it's this quiet.""You should've seen him earlier. He was throwing pillows at my face because apparently I never know when to shut up. And then-""What are you even watching?" Dong Woon, upset that he was interrupted again, turned to face Kikwang, who's visage was filled with disgust and grief after catching a glimpse of whatever show Dong Woon was watching. Dong Woon really had no idea what channel or show the tv was on either; he was just patiently sitting alone waiting for at least one of the other hyungs to come home (preferably not Doojoon-hyung nor Yoseob-hyung. Dong Woon still couldn't look at them the same way). But when he turned to see what was so distressful, he-"Woon, why are you watching-- you know what, I'm over it. It's nothing new.""Hyung, I really didn't mean to! I didn't know it was on this channel!" Dong Woon panicked. One, because this wouldn't be the first time Kikwang caught him looking at... well, inappropriate content. Two, because Kikwang had just finally dropped all the jokes about him maturing into a fine, young pervert of a man, had just finally dropped all the fake disgusting looks--which still hurt the maknae inside a little bit--and Dong Woon had just finally become comfortable with Kikwang again."Woon, calm down, they're just animals," Kikwang sighed. "What do you expect from the Discovery Channel? Just change it to the News or something."Dong Woon managed to muster up a few more stutters, but shut his lips together, pouted, then shut off the television screen. "Hyung," Kikwang ignored him. "Hyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuung. Hyung? Hyung, hyung, hyung, hyunghyunghyunghyung--""Whaaat?" Kikwang scowled."Let's go out somewhere today," Dong Woon suggested, and lied his head down on Kikwang's lap. "Pleeease? Because lord-knows-whatever Hyunseung-hyung and Junnie-hyung are doing in that room, and lord-knows-whenever they're going to come out. Come on, pleeease?""Fine," Kikwang shrugged. "At least ask those two if they want to come.""JUNNIE-HYUNG! HYUNGSEUNNIE-HYUNG! STOP MAKING OUT IN THERE AND LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" SEOUL:"So where are we going, exactly?" Hyunseung inquired, brushing his hair to the side as he asked."I don't know. Where do you-""Let's go to that bar again!" Dong Woon exclaimed, jumping in circles around his two hyungs. "Come on, Du Jun-hyung and Yoseob-hyung aren't here right now, let's just go!"Hyunseung and Kikwang quickly glanced at each other from the corner of their eyes, and if Dong Woon weren't so stupid, he might've noticed the awkwardness the two left in the atmosphere, but since he was so stupid, he didn't. The only thing the two could do was--"Oh wow, would you look at that? I got a text from Junhyung," Hyunseung pulled out his phone and began typing in some hangeul letters. "Oh, he has a diva dilemma. Let me go back to the dorm, you two can go on ahead! I'll see you guys later, and Kikwang, make sure you keep Dong Woon out of trouble, okay, yeah, bye!"Kikwang has a slight feeling Hyunseung ditched him and the sensitive maknae. LEVEL ONE BAR:"Him." Seung Mi squinted, pointed one finger at Dong Woon's drowsy face and clicked her tongue afterward."What about Woon?""He's the kind of people I like serving alcohol to." she sighed dreamily, her head propped up by her hand."To Woon? Woonie? Woonie the Pooh? Dong Woon?" Kikwang stuttered all of the random nicknames they all made up for the maknae in the history of B2ST, bewildered and confused. "Not that it matters, nor do I want to offend you, but... why?" Not that Kikwang was jealous or anything of that nature."Because! He's the kind of person who knows how to control his alcohol level, doesn't get drunk easily and when he's just a little tipsy, he's willing to share his life story with you. Those people are fun to be around." she nodded to herself, pursed lips and a smug face.Oh, if God could only know how much he hated what she was saying right now. Two reasons, to be more specific: first of all, Dong Woon? Control his alcohol? And secondly, her face: it was a pretty smug face, and Kikwang didn't know if he should or should not be offended right now. But it was a pretty smug face. Really pretty. Especially her lips, the lips that her tongue playfully teased with, often and frequently appearing to either lick her upper lip or to---Oh, if God could only know how much he hated the statements he was saying right now. How much he hated the Dong Woon statements."Dong Woon-ssi," Seung Mi playfully called out to the fatigued 20 year old. "Would you like another drink? I'd like to hear more about your story." She leaned forward and enthusiastically grinned, a cute smirk exhibiting how amused she was, with eyes that were brimming on excitement and hands tucked underneath each other, anticipating to make another drink. And it surprised Kikwang how immersed she was in Dong Woon's story. However, it didn't mean he liked it."Absolutely not," he slid his hand in between Dong Woon's cup and Seung Mi's folded palms. "He can't drink anymore.""I'm sorry, Seung Mi-noona, but I have to listen to what hyung says." Dong Woon murmured under his breath, but it was loud enough for Seung Mi to hear. And this little sentence was enough for her to giggle."You really are cute, Dong Woon.""I know right?!" Dong Woon's face estatically perked up, as if this was the obvious."This is exactly why he can't drink right now." Kikwang grabbed a hold of Dong Woon's shoulders and lightly pushed him back into the chair."Then," she eyed Kikwang playfully. "How about you, Kikwang?""No thank you," Kikwang waved his hand. "I have to take this guy home anyway.""Aw, come on, Kikwang. You can always take a taxi! Idols have cars prepared for them anyway, right?""Well of course we do," Dong Woon nonchalantly replied. "We're one of the top new idol groups anyway, of course we'd have a car prepared for us anywhere." Dong Woon's words were slowly and incomprehensibly coming out of his mouth now. Kikwang sighed. "Did you hear about our MAMA win? We won best male dance group.""I know," Seung Mi nodded in response, enunciating her syllables as if she was talking to a kindegartener. "I was secretly wishing for Infinite to win."Dong Woon sat up straight once again, shoving his fist to his mouth and a painful gasp. "How could you?!""She's just joking, Woonie," Kikwang nudged his forearm, and Dong Woon pouted. "No, but seriously, you were joking, right?""I guess so," Seung Mi sucked her cheeks in. "I mean, if you want it to be a joke, then yeah.""Traaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaitor." Dong Woon whispered in Kikwang's ear, but it wasn't even the secretive kind of whisper, it was the disgusting-get-your-breath-off-of-me-why-are-you-whispering-so-loud whisper.Kikwang indifferently stared at the conversation Dong Woon and Seung Mi were having. It didn't feel bad, but it didn't feel good either. Kikwang could only define it in simple terms right now, but he wasn't jealous, nor was he excited about it either. For some reason, Kikwang's beginning to think that maybe actually taking Dong Woon to the bar wasn't the greatest idea in the world. He should've bolted with Hyunseung when he had the chance. He really should've.There were too many Dong Woon moments Kikwang anyone could handle......................................................................................................................................................................................................................
