Chapter 13 (1/2)
Woohyun found the shirt Sunggyu had been wearing on the floor in the middle of the room. Sunggyu had changed into a loose t-shirt and sweats, and laid down on his bed, facing away from Woohyun. Woohyun walked over, picking up the shirt, and noticing it wasn't Sunggyu's, threw it over in a corner, out of sight. He walked over and sat down beside Sunggyu, who still kept his back facing away. He wrapped his arms around himself, hoping Woohyun wouldn't say anything. Woohyun stared at the leader, a little taken aback, never seeing him this broken.
"Sunggyu. Talk to me. Tell me what happened."
Sunggyu didn't answer and Woohyun reached out, slowly placing his hand on top of Sunggyu's shoulder.
"I'll listen to you. I won't interrupt."
Sunggyu still didn't answer.
Woohyun took a deep breath, deciding that if he spoke the truth, maybe Sunggyu could too.
"Sunggyu, I-I love you. I love you and I want to help you. I don't want to see you hurting like this."
Woohyun pushed away the paranoid feeling that began to come up when he realized what he had actually said, but pushed it away, shoving it in the back of his mind. He didn't say in what way he loved Sunggyu so there was really no reason to panic. Sunggyu, hearing this, felt a tug at his heart strings. He wondered where exactly Woohyun was coming from since he had had suspicions about Woohyun's feelings lately but now he was getting the feeling that they were deeper than he thought. But then again, he wasn't sure of anything lately so who knew what the answer was? Letting Woohyun's words sink in, he began to feel angry. Woohyun squeezed his shoulder and Sunggyu shrugged his hand off and stood up slowly, walking across the room.
"Why? What makes you feel that way Woohyun? How could you love me? I'm a horrible person, you have no idea."
"Sunggyu, that's not true! You're a great person! You've-"
"Gotten beaten up by my boyfriend, stolen his painkillers because I was too afraid to see a doctor about my injuries, taken too much of them and gotten drunk, then wound up in the hospital because of it-"
"What?"
"I....I lied to you. I was in the hospital because I OD'ed, not because of food poisoning."
"W-Why'd you go to his apartment instead of coming back here though?"
"Because he beat me up Woohyun! Did you not get that part!?"
Woohyun sighed, wanting to feel angry. Instead, he stood up and walked over to stand in front of Sunggyu, "That's okay. It was an accident. You don't have any more pills right?"
"No."
"Well, that's good. Sunggyu, you just have to break up with him, he'll keep hitting you. And you need to see a doctor about your back."
Sunggyu paced the room again, not wanting to look at Woohyun, "I don't get it. How can you be so calm!? You should hate me! I lied to you! I-I would've slept with Tae Mu last night if I hadn't been so sick!"
Woohyun, taken aback by this, cooled his anger down the best he could. He couldn't look at Sunggyu, "Sunggyu. It's okay. You have to let this go. I know you've been going through a lot lately, and you've made some mistakes. It's understandable and I'm not mad at you for it."
"YOU SHOULD BE!" Sunggyu shouted, turning around and grabbing his jacket, starting to walk towards the door. Woohyun blocked his way, "Where are you going?"
"Out."
Woohyun placed his hand on Sunggyu's shoulders, and Sunggyu pushed them off roughly, "Don't touch me."
Woohyun let Sunggyu walk out of their room and Sunggyu almost stopped on his way to the front door, noticing that Dongwoo, L, and Sungyeol were standing outside of their rooms, staring. Dongwoo tried to call out to him, "Sunggyu hyung, please don't leave."
Sunggyu ignored him, walking out. Woohyun paused, not knowing what to do and then grabbed his jacket, deciding to follow him. He looked at the others, "I told you guys to go to sleep. Don't worry, please."
Woohyun walked out, rushing down the stairs and turning to see Sunggyu halfway down the street. Woohyun sighed, running after him. How on earth did he walk that far with his injuries?
"Sunggyu! Sunggyu stop!" Woohyun shouted, reaching him and stopping in front of him. Sunggyu moved around him, walking away again. Woohyun once again stopped in front of him and Sunggyu suddenly snapped, pushing him hard. Woohyun, not expecting the push, or the power of it, fell back onto the ground. Sunggyu stopped, frozen in front of him. Woohyun stood up, "So what? Now you're going to act like him? You're so angry about what he did to you, and your solution is to end up like him?"
Sunggyu didn't answer, too upset with himself and extremely guilty.
"Sunggyu, just, let's go get you something to eat or drink okay? You need to sit and calm down."
Sunggyu started to shake his head when Woohyun interrupted him, "I recall you saying you owed me one awhile ago, for helping you with your relationship, which I can see you're not happy about anymore. But since you just shoved me onto the ground, I still think you owe me something."
Sunggyu nodded, deciding he didn't want to be alone, "Fine."
