Chapter 11 (1/2)

"Hey Sunggyu! You did it!" Woohyun shouted from behind Sunggyu, reaching his arms around the leader as they walked back to the dressing room.

Sunggyu nodded, trying his best not to throw up. By the time they had started the rehearsal Sunggyu was in full blown pain and had tried his best to push it away. He had ended up nailing the performance though, and the audience seemed to love their new song. Sunggyu was happy about that, but his happiness soon went away as he began to walk off stage, feeling sick and hurting everywhere. He quickly changed into a dark suit, with a white shirt, minus the tie. As he was about to excuse himself to go to the bathroom, his manager walked in and congradulated them, "You guys were great! They loved it! And Sunggyu, nice job! You did good. Now, everyone's going out for dinner soon. You guys have been invited so you better hurry up and change."

Sunggyu, floating on a cloud of pain, protested, "But Hyung, I told you, I had to be somewhere at 8 if we finished on time."

"Where do you have to go?" Woohyun asked, even though he knew the answer would be with Tae Mu.

"I have to go to this thing with Tae Mu. It's a business thing, but he asked me to be his guest."

"Aw come on Hyung! Don't let Leader Gyu down! Let him spend some time with his handsome boyfriend!" Sungyeol said.

His manager looked at him and nodded, "Okay fine. Just be careful alright? Don't do anything stupid. And call everyone if you're going to be late please?"

"Or if you're not going to be back at all until the morning," Woohyun said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

Sunggyu ignored Woohyun and nodded to his manager, "I'll be careful. See you guys."

Sunggyu grabbed his backpack and walked out, stealing a glance at Woohyun, to see him staring back, a dissaproving look on his face. Sunggyu began to feel an anger fill him as he took a couple pills out of the bag he had transferred them into and swallowed them. He was accepting that Woohyun wasn't happy with his relationship but he couldn't help but feel like Woohyun was judging him and he didn't need Woohyun to look at him so dissapointingly either. He didn't even do anything wrong and Woohyun was staring at him like he going to go beat up a bunch of little school kids.

Sunggyu walked into the bathroom and called Tae Mu to come and pick him up.

"I'm already outside. I had a feeling you would be able to come."

Sunggyu walked through the building and through the front doors, cameras and fans flooding his vision. He signed some autographs and spotted Tae Mu's car. He rushed over through the crowd and jumped in, sighing in relief when the door was closed and the car began to pull away. Tae Mu smiled, "They love you so much."

Sunggyu stared at Tae Mu, starting to feel less sick, "Yeah."

"Too bad I have to share with them eh?"

Sunggyu nodded, laughing, and they continued to talk the rest of the drive.

_______

They walked in and Sunggyu realized he was really nervous. Tae Mu looked over at him, "You okay?"

"No, I feel extremely self-conscious."

Tae Mu laughed, "Why?"

"This is so..odd for me. I've never been to one of these things."

"Don't worry, it's not that spectacular. It's boring. I just thought it'd be better for your injuries. You can take it easy."

A couple hours later, Sunggyu was sitting at a table, bored out of his mind and kind of out of it. He had went around being introduced to people until he had to sit down because his pain was coming back. He had taken a couple more pills about ten minutes ago, wondering what was wrong. He didn't injure himself again by performing but he was in way more pain than before. Now he felt himself starting to feel like he was floating and he sat, staring at the people around him who were beginning to look like a blur. Suddenly a hand grabbed him and he was pulled up, his proper vision returning back to him. He looked into Tae Mu's eyes, smiling and latching onto him, "Hello."

Tae Mu laughed, "You've gone crazy with boredom haven't you?"

Sunggyu laughed and stepped back, "So when does this thing end?"

"It just ended Sunggyu. You didn't notice the speech, and the clapping?"

Sunggyu looked around, noticing that people were starting to exit the place, "Oh. No, I didn't."

"Well anyway, it's over. Should I drive you home? Or do wanna stay over?"

Sunggyu put his arms around Tae Mu, dragging them both to the door, "I'll stay over. Can I change first? This suit is so stuffy."

"Yeah, there's a washroom around somewhere."

Sunggyu quickly changed in the washroom, putting on some dark jeans and a black, lepard print shirt. When he was done changing, they drove over to Tae Mu's apartment and as they walked into the elevator, and the doors closed Sunggyu kissed Tae Mu. Tae Mu kissed him back and smiled, "What are you doing?"

"What do you mean?"

"You just, seem kind of different today."

The elevator opened and they continued to kiss, finding their way to the door, "I guess I'm just happy that the performance went well. I didn't wanna dissapoint the other members."

Tae Mu pulled out his keys, but then dropped them, "I'm sure Woohyun wasn't dissapointed."

Sunggyu sighed loudly, "Can we not talk about Woohyun? I wasn't even thinking about Woohyun."

Sunggyu tried to kiss Tae Mu again but he pushed Sunggyu away, "Can I unlock the door please?"

Sunggyu stood still, annoyed. He was actually in a good mood for once and now it was being ruined. Tae Mu started unlocking the door and looked up at Sunggyu, seeing his agitated face, "Did you talk to him?"

"I guess so! I don't really wanna think about Woohyun right now, if you didn't notice."

Tae Mu sighed, grabbing Sunggyu's hand and opening the door. As they walked in, he was about to say something when they were met with a large group of people who yelled, "SURPRISE!"

Sunggyu practically jumped, wondering what the hell was going on. He whispered to Tae Mu, "What the hell is this?"

Tae Mu smiled, "Uh, it's my birthday. I guess they threw me a party."

Sunggyu stepped back as Tae Mu's co-workers and friends wished him a happy birthday, feeling out of place. Eventually someone noticed him and asked, "Tae Mu, is this him?"

Tae Mu grabbed Sunggyu's arm and pulled him over, "Yup. Sunggyu."

Everyone introduced themselves, and then finally the party really started. Drinks and food were brought out and all the people started talking and joking with eachother, someone breaking out the karaoke machine. As someone dragged Tae Mu into a conversation, Sunggyu went over to the kitchen counter, grabbing a beer. He took out his phone and texted Woohyun, although he was still annoyed with him at the moment.

Back from the restaurant?

He got a reply right away.

Yup, had fun. What're you doing right now?

Sunggyu felt a pang of guilt for not being there with all of them but shoved it back down.

Turns out it's Tae Mu's birthday. His friends threw a party.

Back at the dorm, Woohyun sat thinking in his room, alone. He hadn't had fun at all, he'd just been worrying about what Sunggyu was doing. He was trying to place just when the day had gone wrong for him. Sunggyu was like himself again, until they started practicing. Sunggyu got almost unresponsive and when his phone rang and he rushed away to answer it, Woohyun started to get the feeling that his day was just going to go downhill. He was happy for the day Infinite had had though, but all of that seemed to be sitting in the back of his mind. And when Sunggyu had texted him, he had immediately thought the worst, that Sunggyu was texting him because he was hurt, because Tae Mu had hurt him.

So why're you texting me? Don't you wanna....party?

Sunggyu looked over at Tae Mu, who was still busy.
