Chapter 5 (1/2)
Here's a longer chapter today. And to BalancedCuppyCake, I want to make you happy and give Woohyun a friend like that, but I've actually already finished the story and I'm posting parts as I edit them. And I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I know it's hard to see Woohyun so hurt, but he won't be hurt forever! I promise!____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________The next couple of days had gone by with Sunggyu feeling absolutely great. Him and Tae Mu had been going great, Infinite was working hard and Woohyun seemed to be getting better. Sunggyu has asked him the other day why he had seemed to be looking so down. Woohyun had just told him he still wasn't feeling alright but Sunggyu wasn't sure that was all that was wrong. Woohyun hadn't wanted to talk about it though so he had left it alone. But he was contented now that Woohyun seemed to be happier.
Woohyun had begun to feel better because work had been distracting him a lot. He had to not think about Sunggyu if he wanted to act, dance or sing well. He had also become really good at acting happy and active lately, which he found was actually fooling everyone, even Dongwoo.
Sunggyu was anticipating his next date with Tae Mu. It was in about a half hour and they were going to a retaurant that was more popular this time. Sunggyu had realized that at first, most people would just think that they were two friends having dinner. Eventually it would probably look like something more but Sunggyu hoped that by then he would be ready to announce it.
He put on some dark jeans and a v-neck white t-shirt, with a black sweater. He said goodbye to the others and walked out the door to meet Woohyun.
"Woohyun! I was wondering where you were!"
"I was just getting some fresh air. Going on your date?"
"Yup."
Woohyun felt the familiar pang of hurt, "Well, have fun. I'll see you later."Woohyun began to head to the door but Sunggyu grabbed his arm, stopping him. He looked long and hard into Woohyun's eyes, "I thought you seemed to be feeling better....but right now, you look pretty down. Wanna tell me what changed?"Woohyun looked away, heart pounding from the closeness of Sunggyu, "I-I'm fine. I'm probably just having a bad day.""That's a load of crap. I'm gonna cancel on Tae Mu. I think I should stay with you and-""Sunggyu, no. Don't mess up your plans just for me. Seriously, I'm fine. I'll be fine. Plus, Hoya wants to watch this movie with everyone and it's starting soon, so I'll have something to lighten my mood.""Woohyun, I still think I shou-""Just go okay. Have fun." No matter how much Woohyun wished Sunggyu would stay, he didn't want to be a burden.Sunggyu stepped closer, "Are you sure?""Yeah. Don't worry about me."Sunggyu was silent for about a minute, thinking it over. Finally he nodded, "Fine. Just...talk to me if you're still feeling down later. Okay?"Woohyun flashed a smile, "Sure thing."Sunggyu smiled and rubbed Woohyun's shoulder, then turned around and walked down the steps. Woohyun stared until Sunggyu was gone, then walked into the dorm and sat down between Dongwoo and Hoya, sighing loudly, "Okay. What crappy movie are we watching?"_____________________Â Sunggyu took a cab to the restaurant, meeting Tae Mu at the front. Tae Mu walked up to him, about to kiss him when Sunggyu stopped him, "Not that obvious remember?"
Tae Mu nodded, and they began to walk in, "Sorry. I just thought maybe you would see me and get swept up in the moment, not being able to resist me."
Sunggyu laughed, "Just take me to my seat."
Tae Mu led Sunggyu to the seat he had reserved, after talking to the host, "Here you go. Nice isn't it?"
Sunggyu sat down and looked around, "It's fancy, expensive. You're not trying to impress me are you?"
Tae Mu smiled, "Maybe, maybe not."
They ordered and talked while waiting for their food.
"So Sunggyu, how do you like having a boyfriend?"
Sunggyu looked up feeling embarassed, "I can't believe that just came out."
Tae Mu smiled, "I didn't expect it either, but it's definately one of my favourite moments. And I'm glad you said it."
"Me too."
"I can't even hold your hand or something?"
"Nope."
Tae Mu was about to say something when his phone rang, "Oh I'm sorry. I forgot to turn my phone off."
He answered the phone, "Hello? Okay. Seriously? No I'm busy. Wow. Fine, I'll be there."
He hung up and looked at Sunggyu, "I'm going to have to head back to my office before I drive you home."
"What? No, I'll take a cab."
"You don't need to keep spending money to see me. It's uneeded, I can just take you there myself."
"Fine. Just tonight. After that, it's cab after cab."
After they had eaten, Tae Mu stopped at the company and brought Sunggyu to his office.
"Sit down, I'll just be a minute."
He walked out and Sunggyu sat back in his chair, wondering what it would be like to be a CEO. Stressful probably. He started thing about Woohyun and wondered how he was doing. He didn't know what to do about Woohyun. His thoughts were interrupted when Tae Mu walked back in with some papers and walked around next to Sunggyu, grabbing a pen and signing something. He walked out again and came back a couple seconds later, to find Sunggyu sitting, hands behind his head, feet up on the desk.
"You want my job?"
Sunggyu smiled, getting up and walking over to Tae Mu, "I like mine better. It would be nice though. I mean, it seems like an interesting job. But I really prefer music."
"Don't worry, you can always come work with me if you decide you wanna quit. I'll decorate your office with pictures of me."
Sunggyu laughed, and Tae Mu kissed him. They continued to kiss until a sound made them stop. They turned, seeing a girl at the door with her phone. She was pressing something. Tae Mu let go of Sunggyu.
"Hey you! What the hell are you doing! I told you to leave for the night! Give that to me."
The girl ran off and Tae Mu ran after her, out the door. Sunggyu who had frozen right when he saw her, couldn't move one step. Tae Mu ran back in, "It's too late, she already sent the picture to a friend. Sunggyu I'm sorry, I told her to go home. She must of heard me talking to someone. I fired her. ...I can't believe this."
Sunggyu stared at Tae Mu, still frozen.
"DAMMIT!" Tae Mu shouted, swiping at his desk and causing half of the contents to fall off. The loud noise stirred Sunggyu and he started to walk away.
"Sunggyu! Sunggyu wait! Where are you going!?" Tae Mu rushed after Sunggyu and stopped in front of him, holding onto his shoulders.
"I-I have to catch her, maybe I can stop her-"
"Sunggyu, she sent it to someone else. Even if she decided to delete the picture, I doubt her friend would."
"Maybe she can-"
"Sunggyu-"
"What!? You don't understand! I'm not ready to tell the public anything! And my managers! I didn't even think about how they'd react! I was going to go to them when the time was right and tell them and then deal with the public! I didn't want everyone to find out this way! And my parents! I'm completely screwed!"
"Sunggyu listen to me! I do understand! I've been there. I was scared to tell people once too. But my family was there for me and it wasn't as hard to deal with. You have the other members and you have me. It'll be okay."
Sunggyu couldn't breathe from the weight and pressure of Tae Mu's hands on his shoulders.
"Can you let go of me now? I'm not trying to escape."
Tae Mu let go, and stepped back, "Sorry."
Sunggyu sunk to the floor, back against the wall and shoved his face in his hands, "I can't believe this is happening."
Tae Mu put his arms around Sunggyu and helped him up, "Come on."
Sunggyu tried his best to look normal walking to the car but he could hardly hold himself up. He got in the car by himself but practically collapsed into the seat.
"My place is just around the corner. I'll take you there."
"Why?"
"Because I don't think you want to go back to the dorm right now. And even if you do they'll know something's wrong, you can hardly walk."
Sunggyu didn't say anything, and when they got to Tae Mu's building, Tae Mu helped him upstairs and into his apartment.
"Wow."
"My cousin did all this. I know, it looks too fake."
His apartment was more like a penthouse and there was a huge window looking out on the city. There was spotless looking black and white furniture and everything matched. There wasn't a thing out of place.
"Here sit down."
Sunggyu sat, immediately feeling like he would sink into the cushions. Tae Mu took off his jacket and tie and walked into the kitchen.
"Do you want some water? Food?"
"Do you have any alchohol?"
"I don't think that would be best for you right now."
"I feel like crap. My life might be over. Can I not drink a little and stew in sadness? Plus, you'll be here to make sure I don't jump out of a window, or break your t.v."
"Fine. I'll poor you a glass."
"Save yourself the trouble. Bring me the bottle."
Tae Mu walked over reluctantly with the bottle and handed it to Sunggyu, "Only because I know how horrible you feel right now."
Sunggyu smiled and grabbed it, taking large gulps and then pulling Tae Mu onto the couch.
"I'm sorry I freaked out at you. You were just trying to help. You weren't that nice to your desk though."
"Yeah, have a lot of cleaning to do tomorrow. I was just mad. I thought you'd be safe from the public at my company but turns out even a public restaurant was better."
"It's not your fault, you tried your best to not let it out."
Tae Mu nodded and leaned back, "True. But I still feel bad."_______________
An hour later, Sunggyu was very drunk and singing karaoke. He had talked Tae Mu into singing as well.
"Nothing's Over!"
"Nothing's Over.." Tae Mu continued and Sunggyu fell down laughing.
"You sound so bad!"
Tae Mu turned off the t.v and stereo, pulling Sunggyu up, "And you smell so bad."
Sunggyu laughed more, breathing alchohol into Tae Mu's face. Sunggyu was led to Tae Mu's room where Tae Mu helped him into his bed. Tae Mu pulled the blankets over him and laughed, "I can't believe you can still sing good, even when your words are slurred."
Sunggyu laughed.
"Get some sleep Sunggyu."
Tae Mu walked out and left the drunken Sunggyu alone.
_______________
Sunggyu slowly opened his eyes, feeling like he had been hit by a hurricane. He sat up and looked around, not recognizing any of his surroundings. He was about to freak out when he remembered the night before. He slowly stood up, feeling heavier and heavier as he walked out the door, to the living room. He walked into the kitchen to find Tae Mu, cooking.
"Tae Mu." He turned around and smiled.
"Sunggyu! I-" He paused to look at Sunggyu and then sighed, "I knew I shouldn't have let you drink that much. You look really sick."
Sunggyu, stuck standing in place, nodded, "I feel really sick. Where's your bathroom?"
Tae Mu helped him there and then Sunggyu rushed in, releasing the contents of his stomach. Tae Mu held him and then helped Sunggyu up when he was done. Sunggyu was then walked to the couch where he sat back and sighed, "I have such a headache. And I just threw up a $200 meal. What a waste."
Tae Mu smiled guiltily, and sat beside him, handing him a glass of water, "I just felt really bad. I thought you deserved to let loose for once, so I let you drink too much. I know how bad I felt when I told my family I was gay."
Sunggyu nodded, "Don't worry about it. I-Wait, what time is it?"
Tae Mu looked at his watch, "7am."
"I'M EVEN MORE SCREWED!" Sunggyu shouted jumping up and feeling extremely dizzy and slightly sick. Tae Mu caught his arms and pushed him back down.
"Just have some water and some advil first okay? Then I'll drive you home. I don't want you passing out."
Sunggyu rubbed his temples, "Everyone's gonna kill me. Have you checked the internet? Are the pictures out?"
