[M] ; DANGER (1/1)
"I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble usually finds me." The rain had eased up by the time Kihyun had pulled over near a bridge. He got out of the car followed by Wonho, who moved a little slower. The sun was beginning to peer up over the horizon.
“Checking out the view?” Wonho quizzed. Kihyun stared out across the river below the bridge before he pulled out a gun that had been tucked away on the vest he wore beneath his jacket. Wonho heard the click and his hand immediately grasped his own from the pouch at his side.
With a gun aimed at one another, the two males watched one another with an intense gaze. Kihyun once enraged demeanour now was emotionless as he gazed at Wonho.
“You ruined my assignment,” he snapped. Wonho clicked his gun ready to fire if needed.
“I don’t care,” Wonho responded, “Frankly I value my own life.”
“Who do you work for?” Kihyun questioned without lowering the gun.
“None of your business scum,” Wonho mimicked the diminutive name. “You’re the one who appears to be in more trouble than I am, depending on who you're working for.”
“He won’t care when he sees your dead body,” Kihyun shrugged his shoulders as though it were nothing.
“Then why haven’t you fired yet?” Wonho taunted, prompting Kihyun to pull the trigger. Wonho dodged out of the way, and jumped up onto the stone barrier of the bridge. “Spoke too soon it seems.”
“Blooded Shadows,” Kihyun suddenly said, clicking the pistol.
“Never heard of them,” Wonho stated, pulling the trigger of his own gun. Kihyun was swift and avoided the bullet, moving behind the hood of the car. The car itself was already in pretty bad shape. The back window, although bullet proof, had markings where bullets had struck. One of the back tires was busted and rested flat against the ground.
Wonho walked along the stone barrier, firing multiple shots in Kihyun’s directions. Kihyun however moved around the back of the car and fired at Wonho. A sharp pain exploded in Kihyun’s leg suddenly, and his free hand dropped down to the wound, coming away with bright red blood.
Kihyun stepped away from the car and adjusted the gun so that it was aimed toward Wonho’s head. Wonho’s fingers wrapped around the trigger but clunked, indicating that he was out of ammo. He tossed the gun down onto the ground and peered over his shoulder. From where they were the river didn’t look that far down, or that strong. It was either jump or die. He jumped.
The icy water embraced him, sending a wave of goose bumps along his spine. He couldn’t find the bottom of the river but could feel the current already beginning to pull him downstream. He waved his arms in front of his face in an attempt to find the surface.
River water grasped his arms and clothes, tearing him faster and pushed him further underwater. His chest was tight and his lungs burnt with the need to breath. His fingers finally broke the surface and his head surfaced in the river. Wonho glanced back seeing Kihyun standing by the barrier growing smaller in the distance as he struggled to stay above the surface.
Kihyun stared down at the river, staring as Wonho’s head popped up. He saw no point firing down at him and turned away, limping slightly as he walked. He yanked open the door of the car and grabbed a plastic bag, sealing Wonho’s gun within it. After throwing the two guns onto the passenger seats he seized the phone, dialling Minhyuk’s number.
The phone was answered after the second ring and Kihyun rested th
