Le Visit, le first half. (1/1)
October 23, HyunMi’s mind “GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” I screamed as Kibum dragged me to the door. My left hand was holding tightly on a post, and my right wrist was being dragged by him.“LET’S. GO. NOW! I MEAN IT!” He said between gritted teeth while pulling me.“B-b-b-b-b-but KIBUM-AAAAAAAAHH. ME NO WANT TO GO THURRRR.” I protested, mimicking the wail of a kid.He suddenly terminated the force of his pulling. He walked towards me with such huge steps that the next thing I knew his face was an inch away from mine. He glared piercingly into my eyes. “Let’s go. Now. Or you won’t have another chance.”I suddenly had this attack of shyness that I didn’t know what to say. I decided to obey him. “Aigoo~” I sighed. We were standing in front of the door. I turned to him. “Does my ribbon look alright?” I asked, referring to the ribbon of my coat.“It’s a little asymmetrical… wait,” he stooped his head down a bit (because, yeah. I was waaay shorter than him) then fixed it himself. I noticed something on his hair.“Ya. You have something on your bangs. It’s dirt. I’mma fix it wait,” I volunteered, zooming my face into his, then patted his bangs carefully. You know how cautious this guy is when it comes to his vanity—er, appearance. Just then while we were both fixing each other, the door magically swung open and revealed Taemin with the rest.“Noona? What are you two doing?” MAKNAE’S POV!We heard noises from outside and it was unmistakably hyung’s voice. Onew-hyung told me to open the door, so I did, with them in tow.As I opened it I instantly saw noona and hyung with their faces so close to each other—hyung was holding something on noona’s chest, and noona’s right hand was cupping hyung’s forehead. With a gasp I said, “Noona? What are you two doing?”Out of something that seemed to be a reflex, noona pushed away hyung’s head. It made a little slapping sound. It looked a bit painful to me.“OUCH! HEY THAT HURT!” Hyung complained.“I—uh—“ Noona turned to me with a slight pink line across her nose and greeted, “A-anyeongh-hasseyo…I… I’m Moon HyunMi,” realizing hyung was in pain, she turned to him and took a look at his head. “OH MY GOSH! I’m sooo sorry Kibum-ah, mi-mianhae!” she apologized, while laughing a bit to lessen the stress. Our mouths were still agape. First, we saw them whatever-they-were-doing, second, Noona calls Key-hyung ‘Kibum’. She dared.Minho-hyung was the first one to recover his wits and greeted back, “Oh, annyeonghasseyo HyunMi-ssi. Come on in!”And that pretty much sucked us back to reality.“E—eh, come in! yes, come in!” Onew-hyung supported the notion, while clearing the path and stretching his arm inward the dorm.Jonghyun-hyung ushered her inside.“Does it still hurt, hyung?” I whispered to Key-hyung as we went inside.“That girl’s been causing me physical injuries. This is about the fourth time,” he replied, still holding on to his head. We fell in line, and introduced ourselves one by one.Noona already knew who Jjong-hyung and I were, but nevertheless I still presented myself. “Hi, noona. I’m Lee Taemin. Nice meeting you. Again.” I smiled. Noona smiled back, like she was charmed, and her smile was charming, too, itself. Key-hyung was standing beside noona while we were introducing. We were standing in front of them.Noona turned her head to Key-hyung and said, “and you, who are you?”“I don’t even know who I am,” hyung replied blankly, with a small smirk. We laughed. For a moment I was imagining how it was to meet up regularly with someone as sarcastic as you. On my opinion, Noona can be considered a female version of Key-hyung, only minus the Diva attitude. Thank goodness. We suddenly heard a loud crash in the kitchen, like something fell.“Roo?” the five of us guessed in unison. The hyungs went to the kitchen leaving noona and I behind.“Who’s Roo?” she asked.“Jonghyun-hyung’s dog, noona,” I replied. Her eyes went big to the biggest size that for a moment she looked less Korean and turned pale. “You wicked dog! C’mere, I’m gonna show you to your HyunMi-noona,”Jjong-hyung went back with Roo. “A DOG! OHMYGOD IT’S A FREAKING DOG!!!!!” Noona grabbed me by the shirt and went behind my back.“What, don’t tell me you’re afraid of dogs?” wondered Key-hyung.“Oh, he’s nice! Believe me!” Jjong-hyung reasoned, on an attempt to ease noona.“DON’T LET THAT THING GET NEAR ME OR I’M GONNA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.” Noona exclaimed, face sunken on my back, trembling violently.“Noona is trembling, hyung,” I said, still managing to stifle a laugh.Minho-hyung went to my back. “HyunMi-ssi, relax. Okay, we won’t let Roo out,” he consoled her, holding her shoulders, and looked at Jonghyun-hyung, telepathically telling him to keep Roo in in one of the rooms. This seemed to work. Noona took confidence in hyung’s words. The advantages of having someone with charisma, you can say.Noona relaxed her hold, then let go. “T-Taemin-ah… I’m sorry,”“N-no, it’s nothing, noona,” I reacted, flapping my hands to emphasize my point. “Okay, so now that I’ve exiled Roo from the crowd, what do we do?” Jjong-hyung declared as he came back, clapping his hands as if eliminating some dirt on it.We turned our heads to Noona.“What? I don’t know. you’re the masters of this house,” she shrugged.“But you’re our guest,” Onew-hyung grinned.Noona looked at him with an awkward smile, like she was flattered. “I…uh…we…play?”“What game?”“Hmm… spin the bottle. Is that okay with you?” she recommended, and we all agreed.*****We sat on the floor in a circle, with an empty bottle of energy drink at the center.I was on HyunMi-noona’s left side. On her right was Minho-hyung, then Onew-hyung, Key-hyung, then Jjong-hyung.“Whoever the mouth of the bottle will point, , will have the chance to ask HyunMi a question; and if the bottle points her, she’ll have the chance to ask us anything,” Onew-hyung spoke up, like a leader he was. He took the honor of spinning the bottle first. The bottle spun for about twelve seconds, then slowed down, until it came to a full stop. “Kekekeke~” Jonghyun-hyung giggled. “HyunMi-ssi, how is Kibum as your partner?”Key-hyung was glaring at noona. Noona glanced at him first, but it was not a glance that was seeking for approval. More like of a sadistic grunt. “Hmm… he’s… fine. I think.” We started to laugh, knowing that noona was going to drop some stories about Key-hyung, and though whatever she was going to tell won’t be foreign to us; because it came from someone like him, it excited us much more. It felt like after all these years working with him we finally witnessed someone to, let’s just say, give him a taste of his own medicine.“He’s annoying, like really. We argue most of the time. Usually it’s because I argue with him while he’s nagging,” Noona stated. At first, I thought noona would be like a goody goody, docile, and, well, not grouchy person, a suitable partner for Key-hyung in a project; but now that aside from physically injuring him, she was also talking back to him—all of a sudden HyunMi-noona looked invincible to me.“Nevertheless, I’m thankful,” noona smiled, her eye-smile showing.“Aww~” we sort of breathed together, a bit touched by Noona’s last sentence. “Heard that, yeobo? Somebody here appreciates your nagging!” Jonghyun-hyung elbowed Key-hyung then laughed. Key-hyung just rolled his eyes. We spun the bottle again, then as it stopped, it pointed Minho-hyung. “This isn’t much of a question, really. But please tell us something about yourself,”“Eh? Shouldn’t Kibum have told you that already?”“He did, but we want it to come from you.”“Oh.” Noona rubbed her nose before speaking. “Okay. So I’m here all the way from Los Angeles to have a vacation. I was able to join an art contest and fortunately got picked, paired up with your Key for a project, and here we are,”We nodded. We decided to agree upon this answer, and turned the bottle again. Kibum-hyung laughed with his signature high-pitched-evil-witch laugh. Noona slapped her forehead. “That day when you bumped on me, what were you running away from?”Noona took a deep breath before answering. “Some bad guys were chasing me,”“Why? What’d you do?” Onew-hyung asked.“They were, um, perverts. I just defended myself from them, then they chased me.” She spoke, looking down on the floor, then looked up at hyung. “I still haven’t apologized for that, Kibum. I’m sorry,” she voiced, and all of a sudden she made a pretty picture of a girl with curly brown locks. Then the weirdest thing happened: Kibum-hyung was silent. It was the longest, most awkward three seconds of the house.“O-oh. Okay.” He blinked, developing sudden interest on the floor, this whisper of red shade hovering on his cheeks. “Spin the bottle again,” As it stopped, it pointed Onew-hyung.
