The Attack of the Fangirl (1/1)
Songee's POV--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------“UGH. That Onew….I just want to slap him sometimes. He thinks that the detention is all my fault and goes to my face and complain?! The guy is crazy, don’t you think Songee?” Luna frustratingly breathed out.We were switching classes, walking at a slow pace so that we could chat for a bit before going to our lockers. The hallways were bustling as usual, like an opening of a brand new store. I found myself simply nodding to Luna’s complaint, not really sure what to say. I mean, both of them had every right to be mad at each other, but really…THUD. Luna suddenly collapsed and grabbed onto my forearm.“Luna are you okay??”“Yeah.. I think someone just pushed me from behind though..”Simultaneously, we both glanced over our shoulders. What a sight. So many girls shot us dirty looks and quickly averting their eyes, as if they thought they thought we never saw anything. I had to admit, it was pretty frightening, but what really scared me was that all those stares were directly at Luna. Every single one of them.“Um.. Luna, I think they’re all giving us dirty looks.” I whisper in Luna’s ear, realizing seconds later that I said ‘us’.“Songee, don’t worry about it. Besides, you weren’t the one that angered ‘him’. It was all me.” Luna replied, her eyes looking like they turned 10 shades of gray.“Just keep walking Songee, we’re almost at our lockers.”We passed girls who all gave Luna a dirty look. One even snarled at her. All the while I made sure Luna was okay. She seemed fine for the most part, occasionally smiling at me and telling me a couple of jokes she heard from her sisters, except for the fact that she was like a kettle over fire, it would start to boil a little bit each time heat was added on to it. We finally climbed up the stairs, reaching our lockers, when Luna got pushed, face first, into the top door of her locker. I caught myself from gasping. Luna’s cheek was cherry red. Infuriated, Luna grabbed the girl’s shoulder.“WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!? Actually, what is everyone’s problem?!? I didn’t do ANYTHING to you guys!” Luna’s eyes were bloodshot, tears suddenly streaking her face as she raised her hand to slap her. Seeing this, I reached for her hand, trying to restrain her from doing anything reckless. The girl scoffed, “HA. You SCARRED the Prince’s face and pushed him down on purpose! Girls like you need to just back off.”
Luna and I couldn’t believe our ears.Luna suddenly slipped her hand out of my grasp and yanked the girl’s shirt, pulling her towards her, “I scarred him and pushed him down? Haha, you must be joking. I can’t believe someone so dumb can believe such a rumor. You’re an idiot.”SLAP. Next thing I knew, Luna was on the ground and I was kneeling next to her, crying.“LUNA! LUNA!”I looked over to the girl, now towering over us two who seemed like little rabbits, defenseless and alone, on the marble floor.“You need to watch your tongue girl. No wonder Onew would hate a someone like you. Girls, let’s get her.” She clapped once and what do you know, a posse of six girls began circling us, menacing smiles and laughter written all over their faces. By then I was sobbing for Luna, for us, for we were about to be trampled by girls we didn’t even know. I shut my eyes, trembling in fear. Just then, as the pressure of a foot came down on my ribs, a strong, clear voice said, “Back off.”I reopened my eyes and adjusted my focus to see the girl earlier with a surprised look and the backside of someone. Of a guy.
“Did I not make myself clear enough? I just said to back off.” the person said once again with a fiercer edge. The gang took a couple steps back, then finally turning backwards bolting down the stairs, all six of them. The boy then turned to look at us, crouching down to meet us face to face.“Are you alright?”
The boy’s face looked worried, his rustled dark hair just laying atop his eyebrows.I sat up, still dumbfounded about what had just happened. I looked over to Luna, who was recovering from the blow of rumors that had just attacked her. She seemed lost, and her eyes were had puffed up a little from the crying. Luna saw me observing her a second later and smiled. It was the most ghastly smile I had ever seen from her.
