A/N: Two updates in one day?! Even I'm surprised.Anyways, the main reason why I decided to do a double update is because I felt that I haven't been emphasizing everyone's interactions well enough. This sub-chapter is put here to help plot development and forshadows the upcoming angst in the next chapter! It's rather short, but it's kinda like a filler for tomorrow's update. Enjoy! 。^‿^。A week has passed since Jongdae’s first visit to Baekhyun’s house, and Jongdae thinks that the experience has brought them even closer. Ever since then, they’ve been going to each other’s houses countless times, and recently, they’ve included the rest of the table in their antics too. Jongdae loves spending time alone with Baekhyun, but he also misses hanging out with the people he’s known for years. They all go out for coffee at Jongdae’s bakery, or to the nearby paintball rink, where they split into different teams each time and try to see who can get the most targets down. Right now, they’re all having a movie night at Jongdae’s place, but not before Amber demands for a round of Call of Duty: Ghosts (how Jongdae got a copy before it was even released, no one will know) and Junmyeon and Kyungsoo roll their eyes before going to the kitchen to find some food for everyone. Jongdae, being the good host he is, decides to join them. While Kyungsoo is cooking off some vegetables for the fried rice, Jongdae joins Junmyeon in constructing some sushi. Both laugh at the sight of Yixing glaring at Amber after she had just shot him down. Twice. Within 25 seconds of each kill. Their heated battle continues on for a while, before Baekhyun swipes the controller and declares war against Chanyeol and Jongin. The three of them play against each other (except Jongin sucks, so he eventually decides to camp at the top of the map and try to shoot anyone who comes near him). Jongdae and Junmyeon’s comfortable silence is broken when the latter turns. Jongdae sees worry and unease cloud in Junmyeon's eyes. “They’re getting awfully close, don’t you think?” Jongdae follows his friend’s stare to Baekhyun and Chanyeol, who are currently hollering at each other and giving each other high-fives for teaming up and finally taking down Jongin. “Junmyeon,” Jongdae warns. His friend only gives him a concerned glance. “You know they both don’t have watches. Chanyeol even asked him about the watch, and he agrees 100% with what Baek said, and they’re together for at least half-an-hour whenever we’re all together.” He pauses when Jongdae shoots him a glare. “I’m just saying Dae, it’s getting dangerously fluffy between them and I don’t want to see you get hurt.”Jongdae gives his friend a small smile before replying that things will be fine. Kim Jongdae doesn’t get hurt. He can’t get hurt, and that’s the way it was going to be.
