Stranger (1/1)

Guardian Rabuarashi 33460K 2023-11-02

A man stands motionless on the street looking to the setting sky as if it held all the answers to the world. His blond hair in clumps, some wet and some dry with small droplets of water running down. His clothes are ripped and burned, his arms slightly bruised for reasons unknown, and his legs are bare – bleeding from small wounds, but he pays them no mind. His colorless clothes reflect the fading sunlight and it bounces off his slender figure. He raises his arms to cover his eyes for a moment.Suddenly, he moves. The strange man takes steps forward to a place they remember. As he passes by, the people around him can’t help but look in wonder and in amazement. They whisper things to each other about who he is and how he looks. His features are that of a gorgeous model: eyes that gaze into the soul, lips that are a soft pink, skin that show no flaws, a height that towers over them, and the amazing golden blond hair. And yet, the way he is dressed concerns them…The tall blond stops in front of a gate- the neighbors eye him carefully. His hands touch the familiar gate but he does not push it open; he only holds it. A voice calls out to him and he looks to the owner. The fierce eyes soften when they land on the object of his affection. They light up in excitement and love as an angelic smile graces his wonderfully sculpted face. The beaten man grins widely and words escape his lips, “I found you, Tao…”The deep voice rings in the said man’s ear and a look of confusion passes his face. His companions look to each other and at the strange man in front of them. They become wary as the taller man comes closer to their friend and when he gets too close the friends block the man’s way. They hold him protectively, hiding him and pulling him away from the stranger. They bombard the man with questions but he doesn’t answer. He reaches out only to have his hand slapped away by the tan boy and to be pushed roughly to the ground by the honey haired boy.The man remains on the ground, unmoving and quiet. His eyes cloud and he looks away from the group of boys. One pulls out his phone, ready to call the cops, but a hand stops him. The smaller boy glares and tells him to let go, but Tao shakes his head and words are exchanged. The ones who pulled him away look at the boy with worry. The two that had brushed the strange man off argued with the boy, telling him how dangerous it could be. Against his friend warnings, he walks up to the strange man and calls out to him again. The man glances up to his Ward and smiles gently, whispering the boy’s name.A large hand reaches for the smaller face and is quickly retracted the moment it touches his skin. The man stares at the hand that had just felt the soft face. His eyes danced and he extends his hands again, this time to hold that precious face. Unexpectedly, he is torn away from the boy and a small grunt is let out. Glares bore into his skin but he brushes them off. Tao makes his way closer to the strange man, helping him up. However, before he could even try to pull up, he was pulled down by the taller man. This man buried his face into the younger man’s neck, mumbling words they could not understand. His arms wrapped around Tao’s torso and back, pulling them even closer together.Alarmed, his friends try to pull the man off their friend, but to no avail; he gripped at the boy, never letting go. Eventually, his grip lessens and he slumps against the lean boy. The group is at a loss of what to do. A grown man is now leaning on their younger friend and it doesn’t seem like he wants to report the guy.---Not too long ago, they were enjoying their day off from school, being loud and having the time of their life like most teens do. But now, it's as if this person who seems so attached to Tao is going to change their lives from here on. His friends look to each other with a defeated look; no matter how many times they begged him to not take the man in, Tao just simply refused to report him."Do you know him Tao?" All their eyes drifted to the chocolate haired boy. "Of course Tao doesn't know him, Chen! He doesn't even know the dudes name!" retaliated the tan teen.Four boys sit in silence as the unnamed man sleeps on the couch, oblivious to his surroundings. They watch him like a hawk, scared that if they look away for even a second, he’ll get up and take Tao away. The black haired boy sits next to the sleeping man, observing his features. His eyes locked with confusion and his eyebrows are furrowed together. Another boy with coffee-colored hair was carefully caring to the man’s wounds, not wanting to wake and startle him.“His wounds are completely random,” he thinks aloud. All their eyes went to him in question. “It’s a combination of everything that wouldn’t be mixed together. Burns on one arm only, cuts only on the feet, hints of frost that covers his lower legs, and being drenched from head to toe with water is not exactly normal, unless he was being held and tortured somewhere,” he explains quickly.The boys look at each other as if anyone could come up for a reason as to why the sleeping man was horribly injured. The chocolate-colored hair boy grinned as he thought of a reason why. “Maybe he was like, a scientific experiment that’s been designed to withstand some evil forces of nature but he ended up escaping during the testing!” They all looked at him with some bit of amusement. The coffee-haired shook his head disapprovingly at the excited boy and received a little pout as he put his head down in shame. “It was just a joke…” he mumbles to himself.“Well, I think he’s just a creep who likes Tao,” said the tanner of the six. He lays back onto his chair, crossing his arms and nodding to himself. His eyes are full of confidence and sureness, “C’mon guys. I know you’re thinking it too…What kind of man appears in front of a high school student’s house dressed like that?”They knew their friend was right. It’s dangerous to have a strange grown man inside the house with six boys. For all they knew, he could be a serial killer who has a weird fascination for handsome and gorgeous teenage-almost-adult students. They stare back to the man with a hint of fear in their eyes; all thinking the same thing and hoping that nothing bad comes out of the nice deed they gave the slumbering man.“We should totally call the cops or a neighbor or something…” the honey hair boy said, “Better safe than sorry, ya’know.”“Totally would’ve if Tao let us!” retorted the boy with eye-liner. He glared at the younger for stopping him before he could even press call. Tao merely stuck his tongue out at his friend before giving his attention back to the mysterious man on his couch. A silence hung over the group, questions floating silently across the room.“Why don’t we give them a call, Tao?”The said boy shook his head, his eyes determined to not let anyone do that. “No, Baekhyun.”Bewilderment ran through their eyes, swirling and questioning. “Why not, man? He’s obviously someone dangerous!”“How do you know that Kai,” Tao countered, “We don’t even know the guy!”“All the more reason to report him!” snapped the honey haired teen.Tao stood up frowning at his friends. He moved forward and they stood up ready to fight back. “But I don’t think we should! He seems harmless!” Tao refuted. Three against one it seems. The three were ready to defy him if they needed to. They weren’t going to sit around and let some random guy sleep in Tao’s house for who knows how long.Their fight continued to go, each giving a reason as to why it would benefit them to call someone, but Tao would have none of it. He responded back with how his mind is telling him not to kick him out, and his friends retorted that it’s dangerous. This fight repeated its arguments over and over. They got so heated up that they didn’t even notice the no longer sleeping figure sit up.   A/N:I have updated at long last! Technically, the first part was already finished, but it was just so difficult to get dialogue into a story. I suck at dialogue man. I hope you've enjoyed this chapter! Remember, comments and critisism are much appreciated! Don't hesitate to ask questions if you're confused e -e;
