***The sky is clear when they get on their way, the sun out and high above the horizon. The air is cool but not yet unbearably cold and Jaejoong feels content enough to bear the weather.‘Let's have some fun,’ Yunho tells him when the village is out of sight, his hand making it round Jaejoong’s waist. ‘Stop it, Changmin’s right here,' Jaejoong groans, slapping the hand away. Yunho’s brother is walking only a couple of steps ahead of them, staring straight in front of himself. ‘He won’t mind.’Jaejoong is pretty sure that Changmin will mind. And so will he if Yunho doesn't stop. ‘He hates me.’‘He doesn’t. Changmin’s just shy.’Jaejoong has a hard time believing that. Changmin may be many things but being shy is not one of them. He looks like someone who knows exactly what he wants and what he wants right now is for Jaejoong to disappear.'Yunho...''Don't worry about him that much,' the alpha says, pulling Jaejoong closer, 'aren't you glad we get to spend time together?’Yunho, very clearly, is missing his point. Jaejoong breathes in heavily through his nose and then pushes the alpha away.'No, and you need to stop this behaviour, Changmin does not approve of it. He is your family, someone you treasure, you should listen to what your family says.' ‘But I don't want to.'‘But he’s your brother!’‘Exactly. He’s my brother, he will be fine.’Jaejoong is convinced that's not how it works but Yunho's too stubborn to listen to him. ‘Whatever, but don't blame me when you get in trouble. We both know that things between us can't work. You're going to have to take an omega mate and so will I when the time comes.' Because that’s how alpha nature is. It cannot be changed or ignored.‘It’s better we stop this nonsense now. It's not worth damaging the clans relationships over.'At those words Yunho stops and looks at Jaejoong as if he said something outlandish.'Wait. 'Conflicts have been started over lesser things, you heard what your mother said.''Yes, but...' Yunho says but then stops, his face pulled into a scowl, 'no, there won't be any conflicts, I don't care what my mother says. She knows I've been around fertile omegas before and I don't have any interest in them.''So? Maybe you just haven't found your true mate yet.''Or maybe I have and it's not an omega,' Yunho says before he continues on his way.For a while they both walk in silence and Jaejoong wonders is he's got through to him. It's not his fault that Yunho is stubborn and doesn't want to accept facts. The sooner he realizes that they won't work out, the easier this trip is going to be for all of them.  'You know that you're acting like a pup now--' Jaejoong says but doesn't get any further when Yunho grabs his arm and pulls him in.'What--'‘I won't,’ he says, serious, 'I won’t go crazy over some omega I haven't even met. There is no one else that I want in this world, I want only you to become my mate.' Jaejoong flushes at Yunho's words, trying hard to keep his composture. The fluttering in his heart doesn't mean anything, he's flustered only because of the cold. ‘You're delusional.’'Am I really? What's so wrong about liking you?''Everything,' a pissed off voice interrupts them and their eyes fall upon a very peeved Changmin. 'What the hell do you think you are doing?’'Nothing?'Changmin scowls at that response. ‘Did you two plan on fucking?’‘Yes?''No!'Jaejoong glares at Yunho. The alpha shrugs and gives him a peck and Jaejoong swiftly pushes him away. 'Uh, the two of you are disgusting,' Changmin groans and turns around. He starts walking away quickly, stomping his feet extra loud.‘Give him time, he'll get over it,' Yunho says as he looks after his brother. Jaejoong sighs and rolls his eyes, not believing that one bit. — ‘So here is the house,' Yunho announces as they stand in front of the modest hut.Jaejoong looks at it skeptically, trying to make up his mind. As far as houses go, it's nothing special, but it surely beats sleeping outside. ‘Come,’ Yunho says and takes Jaejoong's hand, dragging him eagerly towards the door. Changmin stubbornly follows them, reaching the house first and disappearing inside. 'What's with him?''You know, eagerness. I bet he wants to get the best room.'Jaejoong doesn't comment that the best room is probably not the one in the middle of other two. He looks around, feeling critical, but finds the place nicer than he expected it to be. It does not look like a hunting hut, nor does it look like some bleak hideaway.'What is this?'‘Oh, well...’ Yunho hesitates, suddenly seeming a bit shy, 'it's actually not used for hunting, it's not used for training either.’‘Then what is it used for?’ Jaejoong asks and Yunho blushes. Maybe, Jaejoong’s not entirely sure, the alpha looks really adorable like that. 'It's used for... well... alphas come here with their mates... it's usually used during heats—’ ‘So it’s a fuck hut?’ Jaejoong deadpans, 'and your father thought it was a good idea for us to come here?’‘Admittedly, that is a bit weird.’  ‘Together with your brother?’‘It don’t think that was planned.’'Right,' the information is in no way helpful to Jaejoong so he decides to ignore it. All the members of this family are crazy, he hoped that at least their leader was sane. ‘Come on, don’t be angry,' Yunho whines as he pulls the other wolf close, 'it's a nice place and we're together. Do you really mind spending time with me that much?'‘Yes,' Jaejoong levels Yunho with a look. There’s no way he wants to spend time together with the alpha here. There's a sofa strategically placed in front of the fireplace and Jaejoong has no difficulties imagining what it’s used for.'This is shameless.'‘It's really not,’ Yunho whines as he looks at him, 'what's so bad about us staying here? Do you really hate me so much?’ 'No, but this isn't what I came here for. The purpose of this trip was to train and fight.’‘We can train and fight in bed.'In his head, Yunho is already dead. Jaejoong gives the alpha a hard look and the wolf immediately lets him go. 'Listen,' Jaejoong says with a serious expression, he needs to get this out of the way, 'I don't hate you but I don't particularly like you either, you're not the reason I came to the North. My father sent me here to improve my skills, I don't want to disappoint him even more.' 'And you won't,' Yunho says as he leans in closer, 'I bet he's really proud of his son.''No, he's not,' Jaejoong groans, remebering the tiredness in the old wolf's voice. His father only wants what's the best for him, he really can't let him down.For a while they both just look at each other before Yunho leans in a bit more. Jaejoong has a half mind of pulling away but it feels good to be close like this.'Yunho...''I know that you are worried but maybe you are overthinking  this? You can't expect me to stop liking you, are you sure you can't give me a chance?'‘Hell no,’ Changmin's voice booms through the premises, badly startling both of them. Jaejoong knows that soon his nightmares are going to be narrated by that voice.  'I’m not going to stay in this house and listen to you two fuck. If you want to screw, go in the woods, you're not doing that in this house.' 'Well?'
