Chapter 2 : Silhouette (1/1)
Came nightfall, the sky is getting dark. The orange and indigo colors on the sky are now being replaced by pitch black. Donghae was standing by the window on his room, looking at the not-so-starry sky. The fresh breeze ran through his pale skin, blowing the fringes that covered a part of his eyes. Those beautiful brown orbs are now gone, replaced by strong black pupil and a flaming red iris with a strong intent to hunt, better yet to kill.A soft knock on his partly opened bedroom door was heard. It was Eunhyuk, his brother. Not even bothering to turn around, in a split second, he was beside him. Same with Donghae, from the normal brown orbs he has, now turned into a pitch black pupil with a blue-gray iris, and dark brown outer color on his iris. Both are feeling the same, having the urge to hunt and feed.“Hae, it’s time.” Eunhyuk remained beside his brother, averting where his gaze where his brother is looking. Now the sky is covered with pitch black color, only street are there to light the sidewalks of the small neighborhood in Seoul. “Let’s go,” the young vampire replied. Both went down to the main living room where the others are waiting.. . . . . . . . . .The fresh breeze has now turned to a cold wind. The small neighborhood is slowly being deserted, only a few are walking on the streets. A group of college girls are now on their way home after a crucial day in the university. It was like those usual nights, not many happening on the local bar, there was no event, just plain old simple and boring night. The petite girl halted in front of a two storey house, “Girls, this is my stop. Thanks for walking with me.” She bid goodbye to her friends and went inside the house welcoming her was her brothers ignoring her presence. She went upstairs to her bedroom and shut the door. Sighing to herself, she took her pen and journal and went by the window and sat at the wooden chair. Busying and getting absorbed to what she was doing the most, writing on her journal, her precious diary. She always has something interesting to write on her little black book, but not today, same with yesterday and probably not tomorrow. She kept on scribbling on her favorite book, but nothing. She can’t even remember what happened in her classes or the time she was with her friends. She felt alone, scared and unsecured. A lot of things are running around her mind, a lot of things that she’s craving for answers. She closed her eyes for a couple of minutes after looking at her journal, but still nothing came to her mind. She took a last glance on the page her journal with scribbles, only few words are readable. She read what she wrote, more like mumbled.“There are so many questions I have to ask, but now that you’re gone, who will answer them for me?”She took a picture on her wallet, looking at it closely and started reminiscing. She unconsciously smiled, for God knows how long, finally she smiled. Her happy moment was cut short by the strong wind and rustling of the trees. It was a calm night, not until she heard strange sounds along with rustling of the trees accompanied by strong and cold wind. She immediately stood up to lock her windows, as she was doing so, she saw a figure. It’s a figure of a man standing in their lawn, where her bedroom window is located. Not clearly seeing the face of the figure, but she could tell it’s a man because of his height, the build of his body, having a broad shoulders, wide chest and biceps. Adjusting to the brightness from the street light, she took a second look on the man but he disappeared. He wasn’t there anymore. She was startled by her brother who tapped her shoulder lightly making her forget what she saw earlier.“Aish, Junho-ah! Don’t scare me like that.” Her face flushed from her brother’s unintentional scare. “Noona you should see your face, you’re pale,” he laughed at her. She now remembered about the shadow of the man and gave her goose bumps. Junho stopped laughing studying his sister, “Noona, are you on drugs?”“Yah, do I look like an addict to you?!” She screamed at her brother and giving him a slap on his head. “Mianhae. Noona is just tired. Now go to bed. Tell your hyung to sleep early too.” She released a sigh, not realizing that her brother is still on her room. “Are you really okay, Seohae noona?” She looked at her dongsaeng and gave him a smile as she nods her head. After a few minutes Junho left her alone in her room. She lied down on her bed and called it a night. After a few hours of tossing and turning, she decided to make herself a glass of milk and went towards the kitchen. Both of her brothers are now asleep, leaving her all alone and up for the night. Her mind drifted back to the shadow of the man. Only the kitchen light opened, lighting up the whole kitchen and the hallway, she stood there leaning on the kitchen counter looking straight outside the lanai area. Again with the strong wind making the window flung open. There it was again the rustling sound of the trees and cold breeze. She went over to the area of the lanai, beside the sliding door where the window flung opened. She was about to close the window when again she saw the silhouette, a man’s silhouette. When she was about to open sliding door, the shadow disappeared, the rustling of the trees stopped and the wind became gentle and calmer. Her heart started pounding with remembering each detail of what happened, she hurriedly closed the window, locked the doors and went back to her room. The pounding of her heart is now normal and same with her breathing. She lied down on her comfy bed, pulling the duvet up to her chin while remembering the man’s silhouette. “I must be out of my mind thinking about stuff. Maybe this is what I get for having much lack of sleep,” are the words she mumbled as she went to a deep slumber. ________________i think this is so "VAMPIRE DIARIES" {i mean the there's kind of VD vibe. lol}//kicksherselfi promise to write without comparing my story from Vampire Diaries. hahah :))
