Chapter 17 (1/2)

Once Nabi and Sungmin got back to the shop, they went back to work. It was time for closing time and Joon was home and already upstairs. Sungmin and Sora was closing up the place quietly not talking to each other. They haven't talked ever since they came back from lunch.

"Nabi what happened when you went to the restroom?" Sungmin asked.

"Uh I went to the restroom," Nabi said in confused tone. What else do you do at a restroom?

"Why didn't I see you come out?" Sungmin asked.

"Maybe you just missed me," Nabi answered.

"You were talking to Key weren't you?" Sungmin asked. Nabi smirked. Sungmin saw right through her. Nabi slowly placed the instrument case down and looked at Sungmin.

"And if I did, what are you going to do about it?" Nabi asked. Sungmin was surprised by her answer. She's was trying to confused him.

"Did he figure it out your secret?" Sungmin asked.

"You don't need to know if he knows or not," Nabi said with attitude as she placed the cases away.

"Well I'm your friend who's worried," Sungmin said. Nabi smiled as she walked up to Sungmin. She slowly passed him and patted his shoulder.

"Well you don't need to worry because I got everything under control," Nabi said as she smirked. Her mysterious side is coming out again.

"Well see ya, close the shop for me will you?" Nabi said as she walked away without listening to his answer. Sungmin sighed. It's hard to understand what's coming through Nabi's head. Nabi yawned as she went upstairs. The door was unlocked so she helped herself in. Joon was at the dinner table eating and waiting for Nabi.

"Hey sorry I couldn't eat with you this morning," Joon apologized as Nabi sat down.

"I don't really care," Nabi said a bit moody.

"Ehh you don't miss your oppa," Joon faked cried.

"I see you everyday, it's not like I went on a year trip or something," Nabi joked. Joon cracked a smile and stopped goofing around.

"So how was your day?" Joon asked. A smirked appeared on Nabi's lips.

"Haha just fine, nothing much," Nabi lied. She didn't want to bring up anything about SHINee.  Joon can tell the lie in Nabi's voice but he didn't try to ask. But Nabi was acting a bit strange.

"Well I'm not really hungry so I'm going to bed early," Nabi said as she sat up and walked to her bedroom. As she was walking to her bed, her phone rang. It doesn't seems familiar to her but she guessed it was Key.

"Hello?" She asked when she picked up the call.

"Tell me," he simply said.

"How rude, no greetings," Nabi faked her voice.

"Tch, hello liar, there you happy?" Key said annoyed.

"Good enough," Nabi shrugged. She knows she's a liar so there's no point in arguing.

"Great, now tell me what I need to know," Key demanded.

"Well first of all, you don't need to know why but yeah I can't tell you here because my cousin might hear our conversation," Nabi replied back. Key sighed.

"Alright, you come over to our dorm at 2," Key said.

"Why at your place?" Nabi asked.

"Woman you want me to go out there and risk my life," Key said.

"Sheesh I was just asking but fine, I'll go over to your place," Nabi gave in.

"Great I'll text you the address," Key said and just hung up.

"Well bye Diva girl," Nabi said to the phone. Then her phone vibrated indicating that she received a text message. Nabi looked at the text and sighed. She then threw her phone and her glasses on the table beside her bed. She plops her head on her soft pillow and looked at the ceiling.

"Do you think it's fun going around everyday hiding yourself?" Nabi muttered sadly as she covered her eyes. Her mind slowly started getting filled with blank thoughts. It wasn't easy hiding yourself from other people. It's not easy lying and acting as another person. You are not yourself anymore when you are in this situation but it's the only way if you want freedom. Slowly Nabi started to fall asleep and went into a dreamless sleep. The next morning, Nabi woke up by the chirping birds outside her window. Nabi groaned as she sat up and rubbed her tired eyes. She finally started stretching out her body as she yawn and stood up. She grabbed her phone and glasses before walking down her stairs. Joon, who was coming out of his room was surprised she was even up this early.

"Wow what a surprise," Joon exclaimed.

"Tada it's magic," Nabi joked.

"Well that was some beautiful magic right there," Joon went along.
