Dizziness (1/1)
"Ah, Soo-Jin! I've called you four times already! Do you not have the courtesy to pick up when your father calls?" Rumbled the deep voice of Ahn Jin-Sang, your stern father, who in fact you did try to avoid. Ahn Jin-Sang was a corporate worker who made enough money to be highly respected by the community, and well, considered rich. He was a bit of a egoist and claimed he was the cause for your new job, and quite frankly you hated him for it; but you kept it hidden aside with your fear."You see Appa, I was at work and I was a bit busy.. I might have missed your calls?" You replied nervously. There was a long pause during the call before you heard the sound of the phone fall into another's hands'. "SOO-JIN!" Squeeled a woman's voice.'AMMA!' You squeeled back. Although you didn't exactly want to hear your Father's voice, your Mother was a complete different story. From birth to adult-hood, Ahn Mi Yung had always cared deeply for her only child. Working her way up from a poverty-stricken family to a well-paying job, your mother had always been your number one role model."Soo-Jin, don't listen to your Father's ramblings! We all know he's getting quite a bit grumpier with age." Your mother laughed. She paused for a moment before continuing, "So, how's the job going?"You had always known your parents disapproved of your job, often scoffing at their daughter going to work as a low-paying co-producer in the robotic idol industry, but it had always broke your heart to hear the disappointment in your Mother's voice, and if there were any dream you had, it was to make your Mother proud. "It went great, Mum! My studio is stun-NING" You lied. You heard the tiniest bit of argument before the deep voice returned again. "Listen here, Ahn Soo-Jin. You don't disappoint me with this job. Do well and make your Father proud." He said firmly. The muttering in the background returned, "Soo-Jin, I'll call back soon. I expect great things from you, remember that." The call ended and the faint buzz of your phone was the only sound left in the room. -------"Who do you think does shit around here? Who pays for the bills?" Shouts, shouts of long, drawn-out anger."You would be nowhere without me! Nowhere!" A thump, a crack, and silence. -------You yawned loudly. Light shone through your windows, glittering into your mostly empty room. What consisted of the furniture was nothing but cheap Goodwill finds that you paid with a measly cheque from your last part-time job. You ruffled your hair lightly, pondering for a bit. Last night was just like any other night; subduded by red wine and bad indie music; filled with nothing but dizziness and lonely, lost thoughts. You sighed, before getting out of your bed to start another new day at the studio.Paisley? God, no. Floral? Maybe. Zebras? Heck, yeah. You went through your long list of collared shirts, mumbling and muttering obscenities under your breathe as you went through clothes that you regretted purchasing. You sloched lazily before tossing one a maxi skirt and a long, cropped black shirt before stumbling out your door to the subway. -------You opened your studio door to be embraced with the brightly lit lights, only to find a man with a mighty fine jawline strolling around in circles in your chair. He stopped and turned around. "I've been waiting for you, Miss. Ahn!" He grinned.
