He stared at the bottom of his empty glass hoping that time can turn back on itself. He saw her every time he closed his eyes. He saw her standing waiting for him to say something, to hold her back, but the words that she wanted to hear never escape his lips.Now he was filled with regret. He lay awake at night staring at the ceiling in the dark and his heart was filled with emptiness. When he closed his eyes to go to sleep he saw her face and he wished that she was lying there next to him. He wished that she was in his arms, but he lost that chance and he would never touch her again.This was his punishment for not knowing what he had until she was gone. He wanted his Amber back, but he didn’t say something when she said goodbye to him. She gave him a chance, but instead of holding onto her he let her go. “Myung Soo, you’re dumb as heck,” he berated to himself.
