When Fun Turns Into Fear (1/1)
A/N: Hullio Minna-San~ So… Who was like “½… What…?” When they saw the chapter title? I’m extremely sorry but this will be split up into two parts. The first reason being I didn’t have enough time to finish the smut scene. The second reason being I felt like it’d be too long if I put both the beginning, smut, and ending into one chapter. Thus, me splitting it into two. Please don’t hate me for that~ I’ll try my best to upload the smut within the next two days~ Quick note, anything referring to Minghao’s friends doesn’t involve Junhui for obvious reasons. So please just try and remember this is Seventeen without Jun, okay? Anyways, enjoy this two-shot~ P.S., Any words colored blue and have an underline under it means it leads to a photo for visual references~ 2.8k Words~
Minghao knew this was a bad idea from when Seokmin first pushed the heavy wooden doors open, letting out an eerie creak which rung throughout the grand foyer. Faint dust clouds rose up from the floor, immediately going into their nostrils, leaving the four friends coughing erratically. You’d think anything involving a supposed ‘Vampire Mansion’ would have made him chicken out from the beginning. Even the path leading up to this place was screaming ‘turn back!’. But nope. Himself and his confident ass just had to give into Mingyu’s and Soonyoung’s seemingly endless taunting and compete in foot volleyball with them. Even though he knew he wasn’t the best with using his feet for anything except b-boying and the occasional sprinting. Soonyoung, Seokmin, Seungkwan and himself were tragically the losers by the end of the night. Moping on the cold concrete while the others jumped around in a circle while chanting ‘It’s okay as long as it’s not me!’. What made it even better was the fact that his own punishment got drawn for him and his other friends. What was his punishment for the losers? To make them venture into that so-called ‘Count Mansion’, and stay there for thirty minutes at the least; a courage test. How the rumors of there being a vampire living in the abandoned mansion started, he had no idea. But he knew once he heard about it, he could not get his mind off it. It seemed like a hilarious thing at the time, imagining his hyungs and dongsaengs screaming so loudly he could hear it for miles. It wasn’t so funny when his punishment got pulled though. It was like a spirit or something supernatural-esque had it out for him. First possessing the two idiots and mentally tricking him into playing, then cursing his boots to make it so that he tripped over them nearly every time he was going to kick the volleyball, lastly making Seungcheol pick the punishment Minghao wrote himself. But hey, at least one of the two who made him compete will join him on his journey to death this cool (temperature wise) mansion to complete this so-called ‘courage test’. And at least Seungcheol and Jeonghan were kind enough to give them each a flashlight. It was too late to turn back now though. He was not gonna chicken out on his own dare. How embarrassing would it be if he couldn’t handle the actions involving the words he wrote on his own slip of paper? He wouldn’t hear the end of it, most likely. Minghao breathed out a sigh of remorse as he switched his flashlight on, the three with him doing the same. Creepily realistic paintings of people he didn’t recognize seemed to be watching them with every step they took on the aged wood. “Hey guys,” Minghao turned to the hyung of their small group, “Should we split up or should we all stay together? There're two ways we could go,” Soonyoung said, gesturing to the split at the top of the stairs. “And I think it’d be more interesting to see more of this place. Give some footage that’d make the hairs on the back of their necks stand up. Seokmin eagerly nodded his head, while he and Seungkwan shook their heads frantically. “NO WAY! How would we find each other then!? We don’t have our phones, we don’t know anything about this place, and this mansion scares the shit out of me already. There is no way we can separate.” Minghao’s blonde curls bobbed up and down with Seungkwan’s statement. “Hmm… Since two of us want to split up, and two of us don’t, let’s settle this the Korean way!” Soonyoung exclaimed, raising a fist in the air. Minghao groaned. The notorious rock-paper-scissors he was convinced every Korean used to resolve a dispute between two sides. Meekly raising his fist, throwing it down when Seokmin finished saying ‘Kai-Bai-Boh!’. The quad continued changing their hand formations until it was down to Minghao and Soonyoung. The 10:10 males cheeky grin filled Minghao with determination, the determination to wipe that stupid smirk off his face. “Kai,” Seungkwan and Seokmin said, “Bai,” Minghao was ready to throw out scissors, “Boh!” Down went their hands. And down went Minghao and Seungkwan, and up went the corners of Seokmin’s lips. “YEESSSSSS!!” Seokmin shouted, his naturally melodic voice rang throughout the grand foyer. Soonyoung turned to the younglings of the quad, “You two go to the right, me and Seokminnie will go to the left.” “But hyuunnnnggg!!” Minghao whined, stomping his feet and jutting out his bottom lip in hopes of convincing the older two to let them all go together. “No butts Minghao. It’ll be fun!” Seokmin wrapped his arm around Minghao’s slim shoulders. “‘It’ll be fun!’ My ass! WHAT WILL JEONGHAN SAY WHEN HIS CHILDREN DIE INSIDE THIS TREACHEROUS PLACE?!” Seungkwan wailed. “Oh, relax Seungkwannie! Nothing is gonna happen to us. And besides, the chances of there actually being a vampire here is one in infinity. Vampires are nothing but legends.” Soonyoung assured him. But the frown on Seungkwan’s face only plunged south. “Hyung can’t we just stay together? We’ll have trouble finding each other once this is over… We don’t even know how big this place is, we’re going to get lost guaranteed.” Minghao stated. “That’s only part of the fun Minghao~ It’ll be like a scavenger hunt or something.” Minghao opened his mouth to spit profanities at the horse-esque hyung, but Seungkwan’s voiced boomed next to him. “SCAVENGER HUNT?! Lee Seokmin we’re college students for God’s sake, not seven-year-olds at a birthday party.” “It’s for the thrill. Enjoy the experience while it lasts, because we’re so not doing this again.” “We should enjoy the experience together then. Splitting up is just plain stupid!” Minghao argued back. “Again, for the thrill.” Minghao shook his head at his hyung’s thinking. Sometimes, he wondered why he was friends with men with such… Unique thinking. “I’m the hyung right now and I say Minghao and Seungkwan go right. Seokminnie and I will go left, end of conversation.” Both Seungkwan and Minghao whined at his statement, but Soonyoung and Seokmin were already walking up the s
