Chapter 1 (1/1)
I was sitting quietly at a bench near the rails waiting for the train to come. It was early in the morning and the train station was almost empty. Some people were wandering around with a luggage at their hands, patiently waiting for the train. As for me, i was reading a book about photography, looking the professional photos and feeling the thick paper around my fingers. I really liked photography, it was my passion ever since i was a little kid. Now, with a camera hanging around my neck and a travel sack, i was ready to return back to my hometown, Jinhae. I wouldn't stay there for a long time, the exams were starting soon and i had to go back to Seoul. The professor gave us an assignment to take a picture of the nature. And what was bettet than the cherry blossoms in Jinhae? They were beautiful in April.A deep voice of a man distracted me while i was reading my book. "Excuse me, can you please help me for a second? " I closed the heavy book and placed it slowly next to me. I turned my head towards the source of the voice and saw a young man sitting at the same bench were i was. He was probably serving at the military because he was wearing the milirary uniform of Korea. He was looking at me with a slightly smiling face -he was juat trying to be polite- . The truth was that he was really handsome, his face was pale, he had beautiful brown eyes and a perfect face symmetry. He could be a good model for my photos. "I...well..my hand is broken and i am a little cold. It's quite breezy today, right? " The words were awkwardly coming out of his mouth. My eyes fell upon his white plaster and bandage around his hand. He was indeed injured. "Could you please help me with my jacket? I can't wear it alone." My head nodded in agreement at its own. After all, helping a soldier wouldn't be bad. "Sure " I stood up from the bench and went towards him. Thank you, he said, and handed me the jacket, which was also in a military style.Gently, i tried to put him the jacket. At the first time, it was difficult enough. At the second time, i put his left hand, the uninjured one, at the sleeve but the right one was more difficult. The man slowly stretched out his right hand as far as he could and looked at me , directly in my eyes."You can take out the bandage around my neck first and then put the other sleeve." I nodded my head and followed what he said, carefully i put his injured hand in the sleeve and then proceeded on zipping his jacket. "Thank you " He smiled at me while i was putting the bandage back to his neck. I looked at him and smiled back. I didn't know what else should i say and sat back to the bench with the book still placed next to me. I took it and placed upon my knees but the urge to look again at the injured man next to me was strong enough to actually turn my head to my left. I looked but, in my surprise, he wasn't there. He had left. But i didn't have the time to look around, to search him, because i heard the noise of the train in front of me. The train that would take me to Jinhae had stopped and people were already gathering near it. I put my book to my black travel sack and stood up, walking towards the train.
