I stare at the tan figure in front of me. He pushes his hands in his black pant pockets and gives me a bright smile. I look him over. He's gotten a few inches taller, his hair has reverted back to it's natural black and hangs just above his eyes. The black suit he's wearing clings to his body nicely and I can quickly tell he's been working out. "Um, you look fantastic." He says pulling me out of my trance.I nod "Thank you. Um, you too." I flash him a quick smile and avoid his eyes."Are you here alone?" He ask, raising his eyebrowI just nod, silently hoping he would go away. I was not prepared for this tonight."Do you mind if I join you?"I mentally curse at myself before answering him "Of course."He takes a seat across from me and we both order wine. DaeHyun clears his throat and we lock eyes for a minute. His chocolate eyes still hold the same light as they did before but something is different. He smiles and looks away "So, how have you been? I haven't heard from you in so long and none of the guys see you much anymore so, I feel like I probably missed a lot." He chuckles and I feel my heart beat speeds up almost as if it's running to catch every little thing he does.I trace my finger along the rim of my wine glassing hoping to distract myself "Nothing much, really. I,uh, graduated college with a degree in finance and I'm V.P of Reaction. That's about it." Well that's most of it.He smiles "That's great! I've seen that brand in a lot of clothing stores recently." I nod feeling confident for the moment "Yeah, business is doing well but enough about me. How are you?" He immediately perks up and I know I'm in for it."I graduated with my degree in music and instantly got a job writing and producing for a small label. We've had a few artist make big breaks in the industry recently and so they decided to set up another building in Seoul. They transferred me here just a a week or so ago. I'm going to start working with artist here as well, but right now I'm just getting settled in."I giggle at his enthusiasm "You seem really happy."He nods quickly "I'm doing what I've always wanted to do." His smile fades and he puts all of his attention on his hands "It was really hard at first though. I missed you...a lot."I nod and finish off my glass. I wasn't ready for this and I don't think I can handle this conversation tonight."I should not have left you like th-""So, I heard you got engaged!" I interrupt causing him to sigh"Well, yeah. I met her four years ago. She was a friend of a girl I was writing for at the time and we just went from there." He explains "That sounds nice." I say pulling on my sleeve "I would love to continue this but I really should go home." I toss the money on the table and stand up.He stands up as well "Ahh, your husband must be waiting." He places some money on the table and then glances at meWell, not exactly "No, nothing like that. I just have some work to look over. I should probably get it done." "I would really like to meet again. I think we should really talk." He says trying to find my eyes"You know, that sounds lovely and all but I really need to go and I don't want to be up all night." I say quickly "I'll see you around.""Mimi, don't do this.""I have to go, goodbye." I say, quickly walking to my carI unlock my car and open my door just for someone to close it. I close my eyes and sigh. Please, not tonight."Mimi, we need to talk about this. You know we do." He says"Stop calling me that." Once we broke up, once he left, once he got engaged he lost the right to call me that."MiYoung, please, we will get no where if we don't talk." He sighs and backs up allowing me to turn around"DaeHyun, I just can't talk about this right now." I say my eyes start to sting, so I direct my attention towards the ground. "I'm still trying to get used to the fact that you're back and you're...." engaged"I know, but I know we left on bad terms. I know I left you alone. That was wrong, but I miss you so much.""Please don't do this.""What do you want me to tell you? That I left and immediately moved on. That I was happy without you." He pauses "I can't lie to you like that. I thought about you everyday, I missed you and I still do. I just want my friend back and I know this has to be the worst way to get her back. I just..." He sighs "I know I probably sound like a mess I just...I don't want us to end how we did."Friend, that's all I heard. He wants his friend back. "DaeHyun, it's not that easy. You can't just show up, say you want your ex to be your friend and then call it a day." I shake my head "It doesn't work that way.""I know, but can we work on it?" I glance up at himI want to tell him no. I want to say that he left me and that he only had one opportunity. I want to tell him he left me with his son but I don't want to complicate things. I don't want to tell him anything but I just nod."I don't want to, but I think I can try." I sigh and hand him my business card "That has my number and my work address on it." I don't give him a chance to say anything else before I am in my care.I pull up in my garage and I sit there. He's back, with his fiancee, and he wants his friend back. He wants his ex girlfriend, who he left, who has his son, to be his friend. He wants his ex , who is still in love with him, to be his friend. I feel my cheeks get wet "I don't think I can do that."  AN/  I am sooooo sorry for being the worst author ever! I left you for more than two weeks with a giant cliff hanger because I'm evil T-T. I'm so sorry, I really didn't intend to go this long without updating. I just kept rewriting it and then it felt boring and awkward and I got frustrated but I promise to update more ^^. I hope this update was okay!! And just as a side note, my friend and I decided to make a Vixx Scenario Blog, as of right now it's empty but by tonight or tomorrow morning there will be scenarios up, so if you like Vixx feel free to check that out (I'm admin L btw). This is long, ahh sorry but thank you sooo much for reading and staying with me <3
