Drama Like a Korean Drama (1/1)
"I can't believe you would do such an idiotic thing. Who sprains their ankle by bumping into an idol? One of the most well known idols actually, since he's familiar to me. He gave me his phone number too, he has great taste in people, although he said give this to your caretaker." Wilhelm waved the slip of paper in front of Tran's face. She restrained herself from yanking it from his tiny hands. "But everyone knows I'm my own caretaker." "Wil, just give it to the girl, you're not going to get anywhere with him, you're attracted to females and just look at the age difference," Jacob interfered, convincing him to give up the significant sequence of numbers to Tran. The two of the boys held Tran’s hand as she limped on back to the hotel. Jimin would have taken her home, but he had practice to go to. “Hey, Tran!” Sehun and D.O. came running up from behind her as they saw her from a distance. D.O. continued to become concerned with and asked for the cause of her injury. “What happened?” “I just fell,” she responded. “Because she’s clumsy,” Wilhelm added. The two giggled somewhat, but Jacob still didn’t understand anything that came out of their mouths. “Do you need any help then?” Sehun and D.O. asked. “Definitely, we can’t hold her for long, she’s so heavy,” Wilhelm joked and rubbed his shoulder as if he were sore. “Your brother is such a bully,” Tran mumbled to Jacob. “I have known that for 5 years, he has both our parent’s negative traits, except, you know, his ability to remember things.” Then the young went on to rant about his little brother, exhibiting the envy that he holds. The two boys decided to take over the jobs of little kids and take each of her arms and wrapped one around their shoulders. “Did you trip over air or something?” D.O. made an effort to tease her. “She carelessly bumped into some hottie I heard, and then they started flirting” Wilhelm interjected and exaggerated before Tran could respond and she slightly blushed and decided not to scold the young boy, or deny it with her concentration only on the pain. “Oh,” he muttered and didn’t give any further reaction, but a little anger in his voice. “Where are you guys going then?” Sehun asked immediately after D.O.’s response and Tran just pointed in the direction of the high (a bit crappy) hotel in the distance. They dragged her along, now literally with her feet not touching the ground, and the little boys held open the double doors to let them make it in. “Where’s the receptionist?” Sehun asked. “Don’t we usually need to check you in?” “I’m not sure, he hasn’t been here for some time,” Tran replied and she shrugged. They both nodded and followed the boys to the elevator, but Wilhelm accidentally pushed the basement level because he couldn’t reached the 1st floor, but his brother pressed it right after. They never realized that there was a basement level available on the elevator for the hotel and it moved down to it. The door opened and revealed a puddle of a solid brown ground on top of a tiled white ground and it led to the right corner where a body was comically hidden behind the gigantic water heater, but before anyone could do anything, the elevator door shut in front of them. Only Jacob had noticed the body in the corner (with only a person’s leg peeking from behind it) and the rest thought that the brown stain was just a smudge that the janitor or services failed to clean up. “I think I know where the old man is,” Jacob said. “Where?” Tran responded and with Wilhelm following. “Didn’t you guys see the leg?” “What?” Tran panicked a little bit. “What are you guys talking about?” D.O. asked in English, apparently not understanding the gravity of the situation occurring. “We are just talking about how we noticed the old man was limping like me some days ago and maybe he’s possibly in the hospital,” Tran responded quickly enough to convince him. “Do you guys know any Vietnamese?” she asked anxiously. The two little boys nodded hesitantly as they didn’t speak it, but just understood it. She began to speak in Vietnamese hoping that neither Sehun nor D.O. understood any Vietnamese. “Don’t tell these two, ok? We’re going to report the body and we don’t have to worry them, or get them in any trouble. We can’t have them get interviewed, they have too many things to do right now, and this will just consume a chunk of their time.” Tran hoped that Wilhelm, especially, would keep his mouth shut for her, but she didn’t worry much for Jacob because he was much more mature. They nodded to this too. Sehuna and D.O. didn’t question anything. Soon enough, Sehun received a call and he talked on and on with the person about returning to practice and getting ready for another concert and also more business subjects. He had a condescending toward the person as he kept belittling every topic which he spoke about. "Sorry Tran, we're in a rush now, that investigation and those girls really took up way too much time," D.O. said as he knew that it was one of the other members. "We're just going to drop you off and be on our way." "I have to go, the manager wants me to come back first since the private investigator didn't actually call me for the questioning and the slideshow, so he kind of wants to see my face in the hour. Later." Sehun patted Tran's back and let her go, almost falling over because she used to be off the ground. Sehun ran toward the elevator again. D.O. grabbed her side so that she wouldn't fall over on her left side and sprain her other ankle somehow. "Bye," Tran said while Wilhelm stared at his cracked phone and Jacob at his watch, contemplating if he should ditch his brother and then push him over. D.O. still held her, this time body to body, but he was struggling somewhat with that ordeal, but he became comfortable with it and slipped his arms under her popliteal fossa and his left arm under her back. Tran had to wrap her arms around his neck to keep herself stable and not limp. "Ooooo," Wilhelm whined, "can I be carried like that?" D.O. gave an awkward smile where his lip stretched toward the left and shook his head. His brother, however, decided to carry Wilhelm that way too, in an attempt to show that he was much stronger than him. "Do you want to walk the rest of the way?" "Um," she paused, but then he continued walking toward the little boys' room through the desertted hallway. "Ugh, you're so heavy, Wil, what did you eat today?" Wilhelm huffed and pulled his arms away from his brother's neck in order to fold his arms to show his discontent with his comment, but this led to Jacob losing his balance and him slipping out of his arms. "Ow! You were just weak!" he ended up retorting. Jacob pulled him up and they scurried toward their room so that they could knock on the door. There was some moaning on the otherside of the door and Wilhelm screamed for the safety of their parents. "Hurry up D.O. and Tran, I think my parents are in pain!" "Uhh." She didn't know how to respond to that, but, luckily, the moaning stopped and Rudolfo opened the door, fully clothed. "There you boys are! We've been waiting!" Rudolfo said nervously, stooping down to the boys. "Where's mommy?" asked Wilhelm. "She's in the bathroom, having some troubles with her bowels," he said with a bit more confidence in his voice. "Oh, does she need any laxatives?" Jacob continued, believing his lies. "No, of course not. She said she could handle it." The exchange continued between the three and Tran and D.O. gave a small and unnoticed "goodbye." "So, what's your room?" D.O. asked, looking straight ahead. "304." Tran reached into her pocket for the keys and kept them in her hands. He got into the elevator to go up two more flights. Tran kept staring at him because he was the only visual that was appealing for the time being since the whitye ceiling wouldn't keep her interest for long. His baby face and the unnerving emotionless face he kept during the whole period. He rocked back and forth as he got off the elevator and walked toward the room. Tran buried her face into his chest as the rocking lulled her to sleep. D.O. curled his lip after he noticed that she had fallen asleep and they were in front of her door, but then softened his expression. Her face was gently situated in front of him now, and he leaned closer just to inspect her. He tilted his head a little bit, but then his arms almost gave out for the long period of time he held her. He dropped down onto the ground to rest a little bit. Her arms fell to her sides and the key fell down to the floor, yet she still didn't wake up. He grabbed it, and with her still in his lap, he reached over to the door knob to unlock it. After he did so, he squatted up with Tran still in his arms and laid her in the small bed. D.O. leaned closer toward her face, but in that moment her eyes flung open and he fell back. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I just saw something on your face and I wanted to get it off." D.O. turned a bit red. Tran got up off her bed and stretched her hand out to him, ignoring the pain of her ankle. "It's okay hun, are you okay? You hit the ground a bit hard there," Tran said, lightening the mood a little in English. "Thanks for carrying me all the way up here too, you're so nice." "Yes, your welcome." D.O. got up, after pulling her hand. "But it is time for me to go too. Bye!" "Bye," she said with some disappointment in her voice, and waved to him. He smiled and ran out the door on his way. Now I have to call the police and report the new body she thought and fell flat backwards onto her bed again and sighed. She took out the phone in her bag that was still around her arm and looked up and dialed the number.
